The police need to be assaulted... I dont know this particular situation so I cannot say this was justified but when the police display excessive violence for no reason... come on how many of them are there, how many protesters? Strength in numbers. It SHOULD be peaceful protest but most of the Occupy movement has not been able to peacefully protest for the most part... I agree that THIS was uncalled for but some of the stuff going on in Oakland and New York... Beat the shit out of those cops...

Has anyone ever read the First Amendment to the United States Constitution? The People are number one in the Constitution.  They even preceed the three branches of government. The PEOPLE HAVE AN ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE AND HAVE A MORE ABSOLUTE RIGHT TO SPEECH. THE POLICE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO INTERFERE. If anything, the police have a duty to protect the People in their protest. To believe otherwise is to throw out the entire constitution granting them their rights.

ive seen some brutal and sadistic cops in the recent videos . (oakland or the bologna pepper spray guy) but THESE cops in this video showed some amazing restraint . people were kicking and hitting them (one guy was swingin his sign stick at em ) and they just continued arresting the guy they were arresting . I didnt see any cop really swing on any protester in THIS video.

Disagreement started when heavily armed police started messing with unarmed protesters. Our constitution grants a right to free speech & assembly on public lands. I just love how these videos just confirm what cities truly have out of control / arrogant police cadres. And to be fair, people come to these protests with a preexisting expectation of how "their" local police are going to respond (good or bad).  Everything that happens from there is like clockwork.

I'm from Denver. Denver cops have had some bad trouble recently with genuine police brutality (chipped tooth at Coors stadium, Larimer St. guy on the phone getting beaten up, guy walking his dog getting beaten up. etc. You know the ones I'm talking about.)

So I'd like to take this time and congratulate the Denver cops on the restraint shown in this video. This is fantastic law enforcement! Good job guys! Keep it together!
