  • @riccardosiega Grazie d'ogni modo e Buon Anno!

  • @riccardosiega

  • @FRAGIORGIO1

The opera "Tarare" with a libretto by Beaumarchais was created at the opera in Paris in 1787 and remained in the repertory for nearly 40 years. It is possible that Napoleon was awarded the Legion of Honour to Salieri; The emperor loved more Italian opera that French opera.

  • @StCorentin Thank you so much for your information! It is quite probable then, that it was Napoleon himself who was being honored. It seems logical.

  • Saglieri may be? Or not?

  • It's a pity they don't play this sort of thing for modern politicians; the sheer majesty of the music should reveal them in contrast for the fraudulent jokes they are.

  • @dolofonos you kidding??? dont you know politicians dont believe in the arts??? why do you think programs are vanishing everywhere, and schools are dropping their arts departments in order to fill it up with uninspired busy work. no imagination whatsoever. I actually feel sorry for the people getting rid of the arts. but oh well.

  • @dolofonos That cannot be said of all politicians. It would be quite unfair. Nevertheless, all people have their failings, whatever the dressings of propagandists or idolizers.

  • @dolofonos hilarious !

  • not enough notes

  • @zilbiol haha good one. In fact Salieri was a great admirer of Mozart, and did a lot to promote his music after Wolfgang's death.

  • @zilbiol what do you mean?

  • @riccardosiega It's a joke based on the movie Amadeus. Mozart was criticized, by Salieri and others, for "too many notes".

  • @riccardosiega Amadeus

  • @capmidnite Lol, surely Mozart would have outdone him easily, except for his fear of trumpets! What incredible ears he must have had.

  • D'accordo con Lei, carosaxone. An excellent fanfare dal maestro Salieri. I'm sure the Habsburgs must have loved it. Thank you e grazie, riccardosiega!

5 Stellette!
