@extremevideopro yeah i use a strat with texas special pick-ups. i think that is a good base for hunting the Srv tone. but i find too difficult to use the eq of the amp and the tone of pod's screamer. i would like to know some basic eq settings and then experiment from there.

I don't understand what a pod does. It plugs into a laptop so you don't need an amp??? You just put on head phones to hear the sound?? Should I get an amp or a pod?

@Liscome Yes that's exactly how it works. Try the POD before you try the amp. You might like it.

Sounds great, a lot of it feels like you're right on the beat though. With SRV you really want to try to hang off the back of the beat as much as possible. The whole thing was clearly done very well, I just feel if you were to really drag it out without actually slowing down the tempo it would go from great to amazing. Good playing.

just wondering, when you play with your multi effects pedal, what amp do you run through, because i have a boss me70 and i run through a Line 6 spider IV 30 and well i dont think i can get a great tone out of it, and what the eq settings on your amp, im really struggling to find a good tone! thanks

@bailey32121 With the Boss ME70 you should try to use the output mode of "Stack/Return" and go right into the front of your amp. Keep your amp on a clean setting and use the Blues Driver stomp in the Boss for your distortion. For my amp I use a Dr. Z MAZ 38SR 212. I have it set on a clean setting and I bypass the amp EQ.

I use a 73 fender telecaster and a line 6 spider 2 amp with two 12's and a build in effects box. plus i have another effects box that is separate but yeah it depends on effects and sound you want out of the guiar and your amp. plus where your strumming is a big part of it too. plus what key your in.

This was recorded with the POD X3 but it has a lot to do with the guitar and the unorthodox playing style that I use. I use a thumb pick and it is a very thick piece of plastic. It has alot to do with the sound.
