  • wow...cbs nfl coverage use to suck....forgot about that

  • lol i was a senior at this time... and seeing that unsung heroes segment right now has me laughing cuz i remember all those players.

  • It is amazing the graphics were that bad. I mean it was only 9 years ago.

  • Why does this seem like it was 20 years ago already?

    I'm old.

  • @HotSIzZle12 cuz guys like Jerry Rice and Tim Brown are there and the video quality is shitty

  • Rich Gannon is one of THE Greatest QB's ever!! I hate that he had to sustain an injury that put him out of football!! Rich Better end up in Canton!! Rich was tough, and had incredible instincts and vision not too mention the heart of a true champion!! I miss you Rich and I thank you for your determination and dedication to the Raiders!!

  • I love rich gannon, but not as much as TIM BROWN!!!

  • @joshdavidian I too love Tim Brown!! I wish he could come in and show every Raider receiver how to run optimal routes every single time in order to give the offense a chance to move the ball consistently.. Tim Brown is Definitely one of the best receivers EVER!! If Tim had a great QB like Rich Gannon his entire career like Jerry Rice had, I am certain his stats would have been equal if not better than Jerry's. Rice should have been a Raider his entire career as well.. Raiders!!

  • I miss this scene!! I need to see another AFC championship game in the Black Hole!!! I miss this Raider attitude and Commitment to Excellence!! I think Hue understands the Need to get this team back to glory! There is NO team and I mean NO team in the NFL that defines Football like the Oakland Raiders!! Raiders have been and always will be MY team!! Raiders!!!!

  • why did the Raiders go from winners to losers in just one season? in 2002 they make the Super Bowl, in 2003 they go 4-12, and haven't made the playoffs since them

  • @nobodysperfect06

    Injuries, salary cap

  • @mjwatts1983 was there no salary-cap in the NFL in 2002 and before that?

  • @nobodysperfect06

That too. The cap came into existence in the mid 1990s.

  • @mjwatts1983 since the Raiders left L.A. and moved back, returned to Oakland in 1995, they have only made the post-season, playoffs only 3 times(2000, 2001, and 2002), so it definetley looks like the Salary-Cap definetley was a turning point in Raiders history

  • @nobodysperfect06 Thats better then lots of other teams

  • @OAKLANDCHICANOS14 i don't get it, why have the raiders still not recovered from that super bowl loss?

  • @nobodysperfect06 hard to say if i would have to take note i would say when we lost Gruden slowly made a domino affect the Bucs won because they had Gruden who knew our every move having us lose if we would have won that AFC game against New England we would probly still have him and not in a recession but that just me.

  • @Metroid338 also, the Raiders could have won back 2 back Super Bowls in the 2001 and 2002 seasons, 2001 if not for the Tuck Rule, and 2002 if Gruden was still the Head Coach

  • @nobodysperfect06 the tuck rule was fuckin stupid rich eisen even said it, also if you see the video Brady put his arm forward but before receiving the hit from woodson he put both of his hands on the ball which would be after the tuck.

  • @Metroid338 what i don't understand, is that, the Raiders have still not recovered from that Super Bowl Loss in 2002 to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, seriously, 9 straight years without making the playoffs with a 7 straight seasons of losing 11 or more games, seriously, the Raiders went from winners to losers in just one-season, how can a Championship game loss have such a huge effect on a Sports franchise?

  • @nobodysperfect06 well bad draft choices for one we had a lot of bad apples and Jamarcus Russel wasn't exactly the best QB at all theres the major coaching staff changes too remember this is what happened in the early 60's until we found someone who took us to the superbowl and won it a.k.a John Madden also we have a AWFUL penalty issue.

  • @Metroid338 seriously, the Raiders have fired 6 Head Coaches in 9 years, seriously, that is crazy

  • @nobodysperfect06 this is exactly what happened in our early ages then we hired John Madden a LineBackers coach for headcoach and brought us out of shit just like today we have hired and fired coaches like in the 60's and hired Dennis Allen a Defensive Coordinater so maybe a coincidence?

  • @Metroid338 Jon Gruden, Bill Callahan, Norv Turner, Art Shell, Lane Kiffin, Tom Cable, Hue Jackson, actually that makes that 7, a misscount, but seriously, that is just insane

  • @nobodysperfect06 Tom Cable i forgot when he came in but he took us to our first .500 8 and 8 season in a long time Gruden was good jackson did a good job for being a rookie coach i think we may have had a few more but latley we have been cleaning house if you look at NFL.com hopefully cleaning out house will do us good i have faith you know? we have good rookies and a great QB this time.

  • @nobodysperfect06

another fan mentioned injuries and caps. Id like to mention our Center goes awol and has spiritual meltdown, Rice and Brown basically retired as with most of the veteran leaders we had, "chucky" ... we lost a lot of fire after the super-bowl loss.

Take a look tho, we almost there again. last year 8-8 this year im saying 9-7

  • @MrAss707, those 7 straight seasons losing 11 or more games, that was pathetic, awful, disgusting, yes it is the past but that should never have happend

  • @nobodysperfect06

A lot of poor decision making even after losing coach Gruden ( we Still need a GM) but remember we brought in so many coaches and players w/ bad draft choices, it was sad... Norb Turner, Art Shell, Kerry Collins, Aaron Brooks, Randy Moss ha ha... Warren Sapp, ect... we kept Bollar over Bruce Gradkowski..we get rid of Jerry Porter, Charles Woodson, and Nnamdi.

Do you know right now we have 6 former 1st round draft picks on defence? and we still cant stop the run, nor pass

  • @MrAss707 now that Al Davis is gone, the Raiders should become relevant again

  • @MrAss707 Your forgetting one key thing to why we lost that 02 super bowl that everyone seems to overlook. Callahan changed the entire gameplan just two days before the game.

    watch?v=DNFK1XuDktg

  • I soo miss Rich Gannon. Raider Nation then, Raider Nation now and Raider Nation forever!!

  • huge titans fan... i remember this one... we had it for a while, but the raiders were strong this year... gannon was amazing

  • Love the raaaaiiiiders chants in the background..

  • We better be back to greatness this upcoming season.

  • @tortax25 They weren't that far away from it this year, well, until their pathetic showing against KC this past sunday

  • @tortax25 and that would be a "nope"

  • I love the Raiders. I sure wish I knew where to get complete games. I would love to watch some older Richy Gannon games..

  • 4:34 Little did Raider fans know, how true Jim Nance's words were. The Raiders are on the rise though!

  • Man, I was at this game! Best sporting experience EVER! RAIDER NATION!

  • @Tech170 I was too it was ridiculous.

  • I miss the 1998-2002 graphics on CBS

  • @thedude19766 Intro,Logo, and theme I think is considered classic along with ESPN 2 when it was on channel 50, ESPN had the circle logo.

  • @thedude19766 i miss the 98-2002 raiders
