i've met Adrian a few times... he's Joe's dad. he called me an "impetuous little dwarf" i now know he was right. but you wanna hear his boy play the bass! wow Joe can play bass!!!!
Know what you mean. If us guiitarists wanna play like pedal-steelers, why do we put ourselves through this torture? Legg is a total wizard, I wish he was more encouraging. Know what I mean?
don't worry about the blood. i've had that problem too a few years back when i switched to fingerpicking but your fingertips get harder after some time so it's not something that's gonna bug you for a very long time. good luck!
Yeah it stopped. The main problem though was that my technique degenerated after a while of not doing it and so I was peeling off my cuticles on my third finger (which is weirdly bent) which really stung.
Yeah I took classical lessons for 5 years and quit for a while, so I know about nails but I like to give it some fingertip at the same time. Main problem was my third finger.
I heard him about 15 years ago on Muchmusic, and the guy blew me away. I was big into heavy metal at the time, so this was completely foreign to me, and I can't explain how much of an influence Adiran's been on my musical tastes and playing.
wow, thats crazy, thats exactly what happened to me. There was a channel on in the states that showed music videos and info on how to buy the albums (kinda like HSN for music) and I saw him on there playing songs from ...Blue Waltz, found his albums and loved them. Its pretty funny when my music player will play Ensiferum or Bodom and and then Legg lol.
@CycloneHD Wow, seriously? I first heard him on MuchMusic 25 years ago, Mrs. Crowe's Blue Waltz. To this day it's still my favorite song from him. (We got Much on Satellite, back before digital, on a great big 12' dish). It amazes me the things he can do with a guitar. Color me jealous.
Its about a lot more than the shape of the guitar, fascination, love of music, talent. You just need to start plucking a metal string tensioned on wood and human craft and most of LISTEN :D
what can i say? i am a Legghead! i've seen him a few times now and he never disappoints. great sense of humour too! don't you just love the stage he's on! he is truly amazing.
It's a custom design by an English luthier. You can read more about it on the blog Building the Ergonomic Guitar. Shoot me a message if you need the URL.
themor791 - As I indicated in my previous comment, it is NOT a Klein guitar. See the above reference site for more information.
Otherwise, please take note of the acoustic style bridge, the sound port on the edge and the headstock - The Klein is a headless guitar design which used Steinberger bridges.
@EddandLeggz FACT...A KLEIN made by a rather special person with a rather special eye... by the way... i already appologized for my comment 2 years ago....

Mr. Legg is one of the few guitarists that can be truly called "maestro"!
Phil Keaggy is another.

He sort of assumes we know what he's talking about. Clive Gregson knows a thing or 12....check him out and get back to me if you agree

Sorry for being an ignorant, but, he has half cappo in a fret, and half in another?!! what is on the fretboard on 2:19?!!
fitinshoe 3 years ago
He uses half capos for a lot of stuff, often in combination with full capos.
He cuts part of the capo away for certain strings.

But anything Adrian plays is incredible, so I can't imagine you'd be surprised.
