I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of NBC News' Today's Report On Battling Baldness / Lasers And Hair Transplant Surgery On Thursday Morning, March 15, 2007.
@exbaldguy the LaserCap has 224 individual laser diodes that are on simultaneously during treatment. That is higher than any other prescription or commercial device. Each diode is 5mW and 650nm.
its such a huuuge problem and everyone hates it and calls it ugly YET you cant cover it up or wear a wig and look normal like eveyone else? how sadistic is society on this subject?
The internet is a distortion of the reality. Think about it. If I wasn't having a side-effect and propecia was working, why would I bother going to a chat room or forum? That's why the forums may NOT be best place to get your medical information!
"My money is on Epidermal Disruption Induced Follicle Neogenesis combined with a stem cell topical being the next big thing.
The exciting thing is EDIFN can be done at home already using a simple TCP peel and effective stem cell topicals are just around the corner if not here already - (acell, caregen) etc!
women like bald. bullshit. maybe if your black but if your a pasty white dude might as well go go fuck yourself. this is the western world and were all shallow as shit
Recent scientific discoveries in cellular tissue regeneration, stem cells, growth factors and genomics coupled with a greater understanding of the genetic pathways to hair loss will revolutionise future hair loss treatments!
But guess what!! - the companies working on these next generation hair loss treatments HAVE to apply for patents which can be viewed online and reproduced at home. Check out hairloss2point0 com
well see i got this problem... my pubic hairs seem to be thinning/balding and I tried shaving it to buffer up the thickness but still. It looks like a bird nest made of brown spider web above my genetalia, you think these lasers can help?
I have tried laser at a clinic, luckily they dont charge much. I have gone 3 times every week & they use a topical lotion at the same time just on the days I go in.I have informed the product is NOT a minoxidil substitute. So far I have been amazed at the results. I know it cant possibly work for everyone but I am really thrilled with what I have got in 3 months and can't wait till I have finished he course. These are just my experiences, I do not run a lser clinic or sell hair products.
business is business, once everyman on earth will look the same (with hair and white teeth) what would be the new model? I'm sure some women love bald men (except the ivana trump model look of course)
lol "...some women love bald men" I'm sure you are right if the man is shit rich or some older women liking younger bald men... but if you are young and poor and trying to get a girl your own age, Man you're shit out of luck and mind as well go and hang yourself.
maybe a young bald man would like to be happy with an older woman, and maybe some women would be happy with a rich boldman (with a big cock for example), what's the problem? you are very one way thinking!!! i just hope you keep your hair Ken!
I wouldn't do the laser comb. It just seems silly. I recently got a hair transplant. I would rather pay the money for a hair transplant then to keep trying different products that don't even work. I am actually posting my progress with my hair transplant if you want to view my videos. Its already been two weeks!
Actually, we use laser therapy for wound-healing after transplantation as well as the hair-effects. Non-invasive treatments (propecia, minoxidil and laser therapy) do something completely different than transplants... they work on the hair you have. Transplants redistribute hair follicles but do not protect you from losing the other non-transplanted hair. You should try the laser immediately after your transplant and see the improved healing.
good point but a hair transplant costs probabaly 15000 dollar and the rest of the hair on top of your head will also go away casue only the hairs at your side and back are resistant against DHT. A combination of all would be the best
Medical therapy which decreases DHT production is always first-line therapy. However, low level laser therapy is a viable method of improving the quality of your existing hair. There are MAJOR differences between portable/hand-held devices, so seek the advice of a physician (not your 'skymall' magazine).
The idea that low level laser theropy is an effective treatment for mpb is hardly shared among the majority of physicians DR. Rassam of NHI does not support the claims of lll theropy and he is an expert in the field of hair restoration with decades of medical experiance.
Low Level Laser Therapy has been research for more than 40 years--since the 1960's. There has NEVER been an adverse side effect reported from low level laser therapy.
Finasteride has actually been shown to prevent cancer in some studies. Check the research please. Also, LLLT has NEVER caused cancer in 40+ yrs of use.
@alanbauman It seems that everything causes and prevents cancer these days. Studies show everything. I wouldn't be surprised it tomorrow they ha a study that showed cigarettes lowering lung cancer rates.
Very informative. I went to a hair restoration place, Bosley Medical I think, probably 16 years ago, the cost would have been $30,000+ and I was midway to balding on the top of my head, but nowhere else. It did look like it worked and without scarring, and they did it over a period of time so that hair didn't appear to others to show up all at once. The big obstacle to me was and is monetary. Still, I wondered why the famous/rich folks don't get them-or perhaps they do, just don't publicize it!
obviously it doesn't work well if the surgeon is not good, but done by a professional it works.u won' t have all your hair back but at least you'll have some hair.i think i'm going to do it
Doctor, I got many reports that laser didn't worked. There are people saying that companies are paying to buy doctor's fake testimonials and patients fake testimonials. On braziian doctor said people ofered money for hin say that laser was great, but he refused it and don't believe in laser for estimulate hair, just to reduce seborrhoea dermatitis.
In any industry, there will be companies that are devious and underhanded. Some will even try to use legal methods to remove competition. I can say with confidence, after having used laser therapy on hundreds of patients since 1999, that the treatment is working. Lasers are no 'miracle cure' but there is certainly a visible impact on hair growth as well as wound healing.
In a brazilian forum other doctor siad laser works, and tried it in 58 patients, in 3 groups, One with laser, one with minoxidil, and other with both together. She said the third group (laser+minoxidil) had bether results than just minoxidil group. It's really polemic, since each doctor say one thing. Does laser alone stop androgenetic Alopecia or just slow dow?
I don't knoiw why some devices, like helmet with 100 lasers covering th entire head at once, are used also for 25 minutes, if the laser comb need also 15 minutes but needs to scan teh scalp area. So the comb expose only part by part of the scalp. By logic the helmet laser devices of 100 light points should be used less time to be equal in irradiation exposure duration, for a given area of scalp, to laser combs like HairMax.
Does the laser work in cases when minoxidil didn't worked, considering the follicles it's still alive? Why onlt the laser spots of the central ribbon of the laser hairgrow devise was lighted, and not all 36 spots?

geiuy 3 years ago
Yeah, but most modern-day MALE hair styles involve a close buzz to the back of your hair.
If you get a transplant, this will forever expose your scar.
I can only see someone who permanently wants long hair, doing this.
ImmortalMathias 3 years ago
i prefer having to keep long hair to cover my scar than being bald and i'm sure 90% of people in this world would prefer that too

Actually, there are methods like FUE and trichophytic closures that virtually eliminate the visibility of scar tissue.

FUE procedures with Neograft allow large numbers of follicles to be transplanted, with NO linear scar.
