I FIXED MINE. Mine was bricked with this spinning wheel while I tried to remotely reset it. Every time I plugged it into the computer it would start hard reset, then the wheel would kick in and freeze, stopping it from charging. I kept turning it off while being connected to my computer every time it tried to hard reset. Eventually it stopped turning on and the device synced with itunes. I was finally able to store reset it from there. Hope this helps!

@smpfilms4200 Just keep turning it off while it is connected. Do not let it hard reset. It will eventually give up and itunes should start recovery mode.

this is how you fix it... plug it into your computer have itunes up hold power and home for 10 seconds or untill it turns on then release the power and keep holding home utnill it tell you to plug it into itunes then in itunes you need to update it to whatever software is the newest. and whallah its fixed

If you have the 4.2.1 home button glitch. then your screwed. this wont allow you to get the homebutton responding untill you click it 20 times, wich is impossible to get it into dfu mode. and i have this problem. how do i get it out? im trying pwnagetool right now

edward9210 you have to hold the sleep and the home button in for about 30 seconds then it will say that you shut connect to itunes and after its done it shut work and the jailbreak with green poision it,s much better than redsnow :D hope it helpt :)

Guys i had that problem too. Its because its tethered. You need to plug it into ur cpu and open redsn0w and choose the boot option. Then itll tell u to put it in dfu mode and it should work then. Thumbs up if this helped so others can see

I did what alfyan99 said and it worked, I try restoring my iphone4 4.3.5 by putting it in DFU mode the traditional way then restoring but I wouldnt be able to do it. For everyone whose having this problem do this.

1. plug in you iphone in your computer

2. when you see the apple and circle freeze, press the power and hold until the screen turns off

3. then just hold the power button until the apple logo appears

@flyonthree 4. As soon as you see the apple logo let go of the power button then hold the home button. Itunes will detect your iphone in DFU mode so restore it. The restore should work and not give you an error.

When it completes restores process it says," itunes could not connect to the iPod,because it is locked with a passcode. You must enter your passcode on the ipod before it can be used with itunes". Same thing happens to me except the circle is still spinning. I have a tethered jailbreak on iPhone 4, 4.3.1. I can't turn it off though, if I hold down power and home for 10 seconds, the logo disappears but reappears a few seconds later.

K hook your iPod into iTunes and all u guys need 2 do is hold power until the apple screen shows up then after 2 seconds hold the power and the home button until iTunes says iPod detected in DFU mode and then it will say update and restore and click that an it should be working after u click that restore and update

K what u guys do is hook your ipodtouch into iTunes and hold down power button for 2 seconds then hold power and home at the same time it should be 15 sec. But just hold it until iTunes says iPod in recovery mode or something like that and then click update and restore and it should work then

It blinks every ten minutes. Get your fingers in position, right when it blinks hurry press the home then power buttons then hold them for ten seconds and it'll show connect to iTunes. I explained in my vid as well

I had same screen as the video. I plugged in a working iphone, then ejected it and replaced with the frozen one and held either the home or power button and then the iTunes arrow with USB appeared on my previously frozen iphone and the computer recognized it and asked me to restore.
