These legendary engines are practically bullet proof. I have seen quite a few with over 200,000 miles on the clocks and they still run perfect.

The gear driven cam system is genius and does without rattly camchains and dodgy tensioners. It is also incredibly strong, reliable and maintainance free.

Regular oil changing is the key to these engines, change it every 5,000 miles and the engine will literally last forever.

The 1st VFR750 with single side swingarm is THE one to own and the best.

Such history in this machine. I just hate it when people think Bubba Shibert used an RC30 in the 1988 AMA Superbike championship. It was Fred Merkel's 2 year old RC24.

This and the Ducati 916 are motoring Genesis. They are the two wheeled versions of the Porsche 993 and McLaren F1.

The RC30 was expensive - in 1990 I remember them costing $16,500 (at the 1 dealer where they actually sold it). To put that in perspective, the GoldWing at the time cost around $7500.
