  • looks like star trek

  • Incredible! stupendous and altogether a waist of time and electricity.

  • What is the promethean from?

  • @michaelhviper

The Promethean is a star ship from our 80s film OUTERWORLD.

  • Nice effects and animation. Coulda used a little more story to justify the action. But the CGI was top notch!

  • Uhmm stupid.

  • @67irishfire Why? It's not a movie. It's just fun with special effects. Stupid don't even enter into it. Duh.

  • I can think of no better fate for DS9 than this!

  • Cool but give me a break.

  • always felt Eagles were in reach of our technical capabilities...

    though 30years later NOTHING...

    still very cool looking machines

  • @Edenslayer Yes. I"ve always like the Eagles. Never realized they carried that kind of firepower. Maybe they retrofit some alien tech.

  • yeah TAKE THAT DS9

  • soy fanatico de space 1999 y star trek, el video es muy bueno, pero la realidad seria que ds9 es del siglo 24, y las aguilas del 20. ademas el sistema defensivo de ds9 cuenta con escudos y sensores, salud!!!

  • I'm surprised the eagle transporter didn't just kamikaze into DS9 didn't one blow up in like every episode of space 1999. needless to say though i still think they're probably one of the most awesome sci-fi vehicles.

  • I always loved the look and feel of the Moonbase Eagles - they have something businesslike in their design, that makes them look like something Nasa could actually be using today.

  • @commanderkruge If it wasn't for Congress cutting NASA's budget, we would probably have Eagles flying today.

  • Outclassed? Outgunned? Yes. Like 9/11 terrorists. But driven. And achieving low tech sucess!

  • Since Lunar eagles are crude, sublight shuttles from 1999 that didn't even have the range to reach earth once the moon lost its orbit. I doubt they'd be any serious threat to DS9. Nice animation though.

  • In fact, Eagles could have reached Earth's range. Simply, it's theorized the breakaway kind of 'warped' the moon away (due to the fact all radio coverage is after a while lost, meaning a faster-than-light travel).. An Eagle, however, can reach if boosted 1/4 of speed light..All that energy converted into weapons can in fact bring in lotsa damage.

  • I think if the eagles game across DS9 they would be more like "holy @#$%, get us off this moon! we need to be rescued!"

  • Incredible work. I know the eagle was out of its league but I am an eagle fan so I loved it.

  • Good job! Dude, you've gotta do more!

  • Well done! Of all the CG Eagles I've seen so far yours are the best. Now if only someone would do for Space:1999 what Jim Cawley did with Star Trek New Voyages. I think it would be better as a sequel series rather than a continuation of the original one though.

  • Wonderfull, thanks for your work...

  • Of course the Alphans have more experience they have been in many hostile situations since 1999!!

  • Plus they must have done a number of upgrades to their systems too

  • It's fun watching ships from different sci-fi shows interact like this. I think, though, that the Promethean's Tulwar fighters would have made short work of the Eagles.

  • Yes. You're probably quite right. The Tulwars would take out the Eagles. Perhaps they were caught off guard? Perhaps I didn't have the heart to destroy the Eagles? Or perhaps I didn't have time to stage, animate and render it. Hmm. Actually the later is the truth. Thanks for the comment.

  • okay, whatever it was, it still was some kick ass special effects! BUT! the eagles just are out of their league in anything beyond the 21st century!

  • I thought I'd see you here. :)
