Haha...thanks for the honesty. Having started jumping in between punk bands when they were switching over their equipment back in the 80s when I was a teenager...I remember botching songs much like you did myself. WE'VE ALL BEEN THERE MAN!!!! I still hear you holding back on the vvocals...try getting your 'growl' on...even in these beautiful PW tunes...open up the vocals...NO RESTRAINT!!! Just give it your all. I hear a great singer wanting to get the EPH outta there.
It's good to know I'm not alone. Especially when I see people who are so much better than I am being just as nervous as I am. Thanks for the encouragement.
I'm really glad that you're going to go again. Hope Latressa can be there, too...sorry to hear about her wreck, even You KNOW I've been there, I was terrible, awful at the first few open mics I did. I'm so impressed and so happy you got up there....And proud of you, too! I think you're singing and playing very well here.... tho it sounds like it wasn't serious, I'm sure it was still a big "pain"....Bring a camera with you when you go again! Great job, D!
It wasn't necessarily a big pain, but it felt like it when I was sitting there in front of everyone with the vague look on my face and nothing in my head. But, it can only improve and I've got 4 weeks left to practice for the next one. Thanks for the encouragement! I hope Latressa can be there too because she's a great performer.

what was unfortunate about it??? Not a good experience? I'm so sorry I couldn't be there, I was on my way and got into a car accident! nothing big, just a fender bender, so that's why I wasn't there, I had my guitar in my car and everything!!! Then I saw it was on the front page of the Sunday paper! I'm so sorry I missed it, I hope you'll do it again! I think this song sounded great, I can tell you have been practicing, smooth chord changes, very nice!!
It was really only tragic for myself. I can now say that I have had the wonderful experience of completely and utterly blanking on my much practiced song. I had prepared three songs, and half way through the first song, I think I forgot my name. The pain was short and sweet and all my own. I can only improve for next time. Hope you, your guitar and your car are alright. It was a good time, some new people, some of the old people. Still definitely missed your talents, though.
Well if the open mic didn't go as well as it should have do not let it put you off! You have done a great version here and there is no reason why you cannot repeat it. Keep the faith as they say.
I'm all about getting back on the horse and all that stuff. Thanks for the support and encouragement. If you're in the neighborhood, swing on by and you might be able to enjoy at least one good youtuber play. (And it ain't me.) :)
@1982maiden - the Repl's aren't well know here in the U.S. man, so keep listening and talking them up...DESERVEDLY!!!!
