i love your lessons..makes things easy. i was wondering if you knew the correct way to play overs from the the same album ive been wanting to learn the song for some time now. i got the beginning down somewhat. ive have seen the song played a few different ways..could you help me out???? would be awesome
Thanks Thanks Thank you so much from Tamil Nadu in India. V have a Huge Fan Following for Simon and Garfunkel here particularly in the Universities. Covers of their Their Songs are Oft played. Now I am forty and on a low. So I try to go back to my better days in Engineering College. This Song was a Rage. I am also a Guitar player but a very Clumsy and Rudimentary Type. Thanks again
thanks so much for this vid i just have one question, what do you mean by the b and g notes i cant really figure that out are they chords of just the note?
WHen your playing a C chord b is the note right behind your indexfinger one fret. Because your capoed at the second fret it is technically a c# but the fret behind your index finger is what he is talking about.
Thanks for the post this was really helpful. It is a really nice way to give to people and you are helping to spread great songs around the world. Keep it up.
Top Man...I have been playing for 3 years now and not getting very far fast, despite lessons. Your lesson is so simple I played and I enjoyed and felt I learnt something...yeehaaaa!
thanks goldhat for that im from the uk ive been playing that song for years but i could never work out that bit with the f chord, keep up the good work, could you do American tune next
Hi I am a 30 year old guy and live in Dorset in the United Kingdom. I would just like to say a big thank you, as you have helped me very much with my Guitar playing. I just love the way you make it all so understandable. I was almost about to give up Guitar, Until you came along. Please keep Keep up the fantastic work.Take Care
Hopefully 'gh3' will answer your question personally. But in 'C' with the capo the 'walk ups & downs', Maj7(th)s and Bb 'drop' are much easier for beginners.
Check out his 'Teardrops in Heaven'! Actually you need to check 'em all out!!!!
I glad to see he finally fed that lil' ol' git in earlier vids and it grew up! 8-)
Excellent work there sir. First thing I saw was the new guitar, very nice and sounds great. Simon and Garfunkel seems so effortless when you sing and play it. Well done.
Well it's about time you did a new video! Good lesson, never actually heard this song before, but it seems cool. Don't keep us waiting another half a month for more videos haha. Peace man

Glad to hear it. You will always enjoy being able to play a little guitar.

Why play with a Capo ?
You could transpose your Progression by One note up instead.
I think the Chords are D, A6, Bm and G for the Start.
