Do you recommend the slider motor? I need more speed cause I made a scaler out of my MRC.. I do dirt, sand and mud now so I need more wheelspeed. Can you help me?
Nice video! Howmuch faster is it? 25%, 50%, 75%?..
@ch1ld0fbodom the slider motor was pretty good but i kept having issues with the springs popping out. went with the stump puller and it works like a dream. good wheel speed and gobs of torque for a mini motor. but at the moment this project is just packed up in a box. havent had much time to work on it
@NeXt559 I bought myself the frenzy motor but I have issues with moving up a hill when I"m standing still. I got the desired wheel speed but the torque is not good.. SO I will change my pinions and spur to a 9t - 60t or a 10t -62t. I hope I got enough torque then. As I said it was a scaler zo a lot of weight is added.. ;-) And what is a stump puller, I have no clue! :p
Im building a rock racer from the mini using the stock chassis with a custom length 4 link and drive shafts. Im using an insane 330 from a mini lst2 because I had it laying around.
Something good about the slider motor I dont know about?
@mik3ymike a little more speed but i did go with a larger spur and smaller pinion for more torque. but if you're looking for a really good brushed motor option i suggest going w/ the stump puller
i got a new chassis, its a tuber from tcscrawlers.-com and i just need to figure out how to reprogram the esc too... could you send me the link of where you got the directions? thanks.
yeah, definatly alot of parts to work with. im proud of the fact during the entire assembly i never had to pull out a manual or exploded view of the kit =D just needed the print out for programing the speed control.
ahah np, i asked kuz your links are nice, and i spray painted mine a silver look, to look metal, haha i agree with you, the stock links arnt as strong, i bet they wil break hittin a rock at full speed, but ive never had a prob with em, i might make my own like u did ahha thx man!@
@NeXt559 thanks dude. I got mine sorted out nicely already. Still looking for a tuber chassis though, where'd you get that one, or is it custom made? I've been trying to get a Warthog for mine, but can't find those sold anywhere either.
actually i'm already making plans for a new more scale looking tube chassis. so for the moment this is strictly going to be an indoor crawler for my down time at work. im planning on selling the tuber and wouldnt want it to be all jacked up to the person i sell it to
Niiiiiiiiice custom

And that, kids is why you shouldn't do drugs. It'll make you go really fast, listen to bad music, and buy r/c kits.

i did the entire build while i was at work. so i had to keep the work area small and portable just in case i had to pack everything up in a hurry

i made the steering links myself

personally i really dont like the stock steering links. the ones i made are 10 times stronger and imo 20 time cleaner looking

Hey, new to crawling.
what ball links did u use for the steering? Or did u change to bigger balls?
Trying to do 4WS but the stock link is too short to reach the servo horn on my Hitecs.

@jminors i m using the losi ball ends but the links themselves i made on my own.
