  • nice dance, but wats with the footies?

  • Hi Nick I just want your opinion on whether do I have to be fluent in Telugu in order to master the Indian classical dance forms of Kuchipudi, Andhra Natyam and Vilasini Natyam, since all three are from the Telugu-speaking region of Andhra...

  • @mughaleazamfan This is one of my fave films too. ANYWAY I would say you would be better to learn a little telugu if you can, as you learn. It certainl;y helps to feel the dance more & get a deeper meaning!! I was taught Bharatanatyam in English but learnt what each word & sentence in Tamil or Sanskrit meant as I went along. Reseaching the stories is a good idea too.

  • @tripmonk0 Thanks for the advice...by the way do you have any documentaries about the revival of Andhra Natyam and Vilasini Natyam on video?

  • and I was really enjoying this without even thinking about race or hate or predjudice, then I read the comments

  • lol that i'm sick of seeing only fair indians on tv:(

    brown is beautiful too!!!

  • i hate white indians. brown is better.

  • And this silly comment means???

  • With the bright lights needed for recording, certainly in the old days, a dark skin would actually appear quite light. My Bharatanatyam teacher's guru, Balasundari who was a schoolmate of the Dhananjayans, is very dark but looks quite light on video. Check out my channel for some videos of her!!
