The danger with most conservatives being their love for the private markets, which in turn leads to more power to corporations. This is completely antithetical to liberty as it creates oligopolies, and one reason why I despise the modern right.

Paleoconservatives are clue less about the realities of structural barriers that create inequality. It easy to look at poor black kid from a run down neighborhood and say "Pull yourself up by your bootstraps and stop complaining or looking for a handout." What if that kid doesn't have any boots? The military industrial complex, disgraceful school systems, and economic poisons have stripped industry jobs out of inner cities making minorities a permanent underclass there.
