@sammybarnet Well its not a story book because the holy bible is not even a book, its a canon of 57 books merged into one. Story's can not also be verified with archaeological and historical evidence, the bible can. I understand your scepticism I was also once not a believer of such, but I advice you to at-least study and research it for yourself with an unbiased attitude and you may just be surprised. The fact that you are even watching these videos tells me your curious.
@k12rising in my opinion, and looking at all the christians in my immidiate vacinity, i can see that from a non-christian point of view, when looking at a christian i cant help but think that they look brainwashed. May i just throw this out there, you are right in the fact that i havent actually read the bible, i see it as quite a dangerous task but how do you KNOW that you havent been brainwashed. By definition you wouldnt know if you had, but please... just think about it.
@sammybarnet Because I was brainwashed before into believing evolution was true, but then I saw evidence that disproves it, and not just from the bible, real scientific evidence. It takes more faith for me to believe everything came from nothing, then it does to believe in the God of the bible. How do you know you have been brainwashed by secular society and raised to automaticaly have a prejudice against the Bible? The bible requires some trust not blind faith, then its provides evidence.
@k12rising i was raised in a religious family, christians, not strict, went to church, it was all very nice. but the problem is that belief is something you gain through experiance, i suppose you could say my run of things in life hasnt been the best, i really dont think that a god that is infinitely good would do such things. Also again, i may be wrong but there seems to be some controversy within the bible as to whether or not hell even exists, could you enlighten me on this matter?
@sammybarnet you being raised in a religious family has nothing to do with it. You were never a born again Christian. Relying on one's own is also no good, when you do that you will make mistakes, life can truly be experienced as Christ lives through you in the moment. There is also no doubt whether hell exists, the bible makes it very clear and even Jesus himself talked about hell more then he did heaven because he new how important it was to warn people.
@k12rising after some research "God" is also infinitely good. HOW can someone who is INFINITELY good doom someone to an eternity of HELL!? Hell, by definition being an absolutely awfull place to be. Doesnt sound very good to me.... with all due respect... SOUNDS LIKE A CUNT
@k12rising heres another quote talking about non beleivers," thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die." is a Christian a follower of christ and the holy bible? if so, do you still stone non beleivers?
What about everyone who lived and died before Christ, before the "Bible"? Why does the God of the Old Testament condemn homosexuality, but the New Testament and Jeus (THAT Gods son) fail to even talk about homosexuals? Isn't Christianity about living humbly in the presence of the Lord? This guy acts like he is better than any non-Christian (*thats 4.8 billion people)
There is a third possibility: that not every line ascribed to Jesus was actually spoken by him. Is it inconceivable that the men who compiled the bible put words in his mouth?

There is constant that idea that different religions can not lead to the same God. But, what if different religions lead to different Gods? Then, what Jezus said (that he is the only way to come to his father) is right, but other religions can still be right as well.
You are arguing your point making the assumption that the bible is the one true word. Your arguement fails. You need to address the reasons you believe the bible is more true than the Koran, Talmud, or anyother religious document. Saying that it is true because the bible says its true is circular reasoning and is a logical fallacy
@Cerulean0987 I did not commit a syllogism. i say it is true because if convinces me more then those others, i was talking how they cannot claim its just like the others.
nobody else besides jesus "performed miracles"? you obviously dont know any other religions. and its not only a choice between jesus and not jesus - its a choice between jesus and thousands of other prophets, each one as convincing as jesus.
@meeene4 one of the commandments say thou shalt have no graven images nor bow down to them.1st thing that comes up is a cross he probably prays with n kiss n wear. psa96:5For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens. an idol has no connection with our God or our Saviour u need nothing to show if ur christian. thats why our saviour says this 1jo3:18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. worship in deed by obeying
Wait... so you're saying that other religions are wrong because Jesus said so, and that Jesus must be right, because stories say he performed miracles and rose from the dead.
Ummm... other religions have the same stories. Why their stories are wrong hasn't been accounted for.
@symsee They are not stories, they are eye witness accounts from people archeologically verifiable. Can you quote me stuff from other religions of the same circumstance?
@meeene4 Ah, so like the first-hand eye-witness accounts from buddha's disciples of Gautama Buddha around 500 BCE in which the buddha performs miracles. In fact there are accounts of this throughout buddhist history with archeologically verifiable facts.
Herodotus, the greek historian, wrote of many archeologically true things, but also fills his accounts with the fantastical - presumably all of his writings are factual also?
If they are true, why are biblical accounts so contradictory?
@meeene4 First, I don't 'misconceive' the bible - I didn't conceive it at all: it's clearly a set of myths laid down in ancient times - much like all other religions. Second - I didn't mention Muhammad. Third, shall we go with the new testament only for contradictions? The list is too long: try google.
@symsee If you have not read the bible you cannot refute it, it is not a myth, myth is not logical, but if something was archeologically verifiable it would be more logical, There are a lot of views on the new testament on where it came from that plays a big part of it.
@meeene4 I have read it, and find no compelling reason to believe it to be more than myth. Many myths have archeologically verifiable components - Homer's odyssey, for example, or (as mentioned) herodotus' history. It would be more logical to assume it was myth on the basis of (a) having no actual evidence of the extraordinary claims, or (b) the fact that it assumes every other mythology is untrue EXCEPT this one, without a good reason for doing so.
@symsee Yes, but none of those documents you have presented to me has withstood the test of time and, has been more accurate and, reasonable than the bible, the only reason you would refute from having a contradiction is because you have an agenda.
@meeene4 What do you mean they haven't withstood the test of time? I don't think the bible's track record with confirmation through evidence is exactly a glowing example of authenticity. What exactly is accurate and reasonable in the bible that makes it more believable than other religious texts?
I bring up the contradictory elements of the bible because they show that its veracity is in question.
@symsee Contradictions, you have not brought up one contradiction, so i cannot speak on that, I said they withstood the test of time to prove a point, when god said his word would never pass away, and it has not, by what i know of god, that is why i say it is more reasonable then others.
@meeene4 Contradictions in the bible fall into three groups - contradictions internally (where different sections of the bible disagree with each other), contradictions of translation (where translations are incorrect/erroneous) and contradictions with known external events/contemporary documents. A little research will show you that.
As other religions have similar historical credentials, saying the bible is the only true word of god is a case of special pleading.
@symsee Once again, quote me a contradiction, if you can do this, then i can refute your argument much easier, trust me, all cotradictions you bring up, i have a very good answer for it, try me.
@symsee Thank you! but i do not see how you will win by listing them in juxtaposition, i have no idea if you copied from another site, but for now can you clarify how all of those verses are contradictions?
(1) Joseph fled in fear of Jesus' life to Egypt until Herod died OR, took Jesus to the temple at Jerusalem, then went home.
(2) Apparently both David or conversely Elhanan killed Goliath.
(3) Herod both DID and DID-NOT want to kill John the baptist, in separate accounts.
These are picked at random - I could also bring up inconsistencies with the account of the resurrection, differing accounts of what was said in the sermon on the mount. Etc.
@symsee remember that the Bible was written by approximately 40 different authors over a period of around 1500 years. Each writer wrote with a different style, from a different perspective, to a different audience, for a different purpose. We should expect some minor differences. However, a difference is not a contradiction. It is only an error if there is absolutely no conceivable way the verses or passages can be reconciled.
@meeene4 It's a contradiction if one account asserts a given fact, and another asserts a different fact which precludes the first. Don't forget, the bible is the perfect and unaltered word of God as inspired by the holy spirit! it should get its facts straight.
I hated "believers" and counted them all nuts in need of something better to do with their Sundays and some psychological help. I was driving to work one morning and had to pull over, and to my suprise I believed that this Jesus was who he claimed to be and went on to learn as much about an imperfect book that was attached to his name, though inspired by God, man did his best to write down these accounts and witnesses. Sadly this doesn't happen for everyone, truth is, you may not get here.
Jesus was not a christian and did not claim to be nor do you see the word christianity in any of the bible. Yeshuah (Jesus) was a Jew and would not follow what most christian theology tradition teaches. 2 Tim 2:15.Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
@sepharbori In the New Testament Jesus was called the Christ "the annointed one" hence the reason we call ourselves Christians and our faith "Chrstianity" Yes Jesus was a Jew but so what
If you accept what Jesus said, then Christianity IS the only true religion. But there are always going to be people who doubt Him. Even if God had a loud, booming voice there are people who would think it was a cheap trick to get more people to convert. You can say what you want, but there are those who will not believe.
Even if a Jesus did exist - to assume that he actually performed any miracles or caused any supernatural events is, at best a stretch, if not ridiculous. To then suggest that eye-witness testimony, mentioned in a 2K year-old book (already littered with superstition) is somehow tantamount to court-worthy evidence is just plain stupid.
As for the CS Lewis gambit - 'Lord, Lunatic or Liar'? I'll suggest: How about 'Mistaken'?
Do you guys believe in the tooth fairy and santa also? Unbelievable!
If we suppose that a mind created the natural universe with all it's different life; we can state the mind capable of fixing or changing it. These miracles were small and near. No magic. The ability to speed up a process (wine), reverse outcomes (Lazarus) and control nature (quiet the storm). Not alien interference but the Creator and King of our world.
I was not asking you to accept anything as truth. Just suppose. Rhetoric is a method of discourse to come to an agreement. The Kalam Cosmological argument is rhetorical but very helpful in coming to a principle. The universe was created in the finite past. Time and space are products of this event along with matter and energy. Any cause had none of these properties. It is in the pure sense of the word a miracle.
In medieval educational theory the trivium consisted of grammar, rhetoric, and logic. These were considered preparatory fields for the quadrivium, which was made up of arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy. In turn, the quadrivium was considered preparatory work for the serious study of philosophy and theology.
We must get by this issue of rhetoric or we will never hear each other's view. Propaganda is the willful removal of a fact in the string to truth that causes an idea to be ill defined. A=B=C. The propagandist leaves out B.
@Nibielari Let me slowly break this down for you. Judaism is about serving God by following all of his commandments.
Islam believes that Jesus did exist but he was just another prophet and that Mohammed was God's last voice on earth. Neither of these religions recognize the messiah.
i think your problem is that your thinking i am saying they are the same religion. i completely understand that they are three different religions with different beliefs and practices but non of that has anything to do with the fact that all three of them worship the same god.
@Nibielari Ok you might be right about that lol and I apologize for how i worded myself. Ok the Islamic God and the Christian God are different because they disagree on the foundation that Jesus is god or he isn't. Muslims are taught that Jesus was one of allah's greatest prophets but that he wasn't God. So basically we have to separate teachings from supposedly the same God? Either God did become in the flesh or he didn't and since our books differ each other they are not the same God.
the statment they cant all be right but they can all be wrong fits here. your argument why christians and muslims are not worshiping the same god could be the same argument a jew could say to a christian. all three just follow different prophets and have different beliefs of those prophets. but all three prophets are of the same god. the creator of adam and eve the god of abraham.
If we all serve the same God then why do we all differ about Jesus? There is not more than one path to the Lord. Jesus said he is the way the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the father BUT BY ME. Any religion that teaches that God said differently is a false one. Judaism and Islam teach different things. If we did worship the same God then we would all agree, but because they do not worship Jesus, who was God in the flesh, then they serve separate Gods.
your still confusing the fact that your beliefs in different prophets doesnt mean your still not following the same god. christians believe god did something the others dont just like the muslims believe the same god did something that christians dont
The basis of religion is what God says. The only thing that all of our religions have in common is the fact that we all worship one God and that is where our similarity ends. Judaism: Their God says that the messiah has not arrived. Christianity: Our God says that he walked the earth as Jesus Christ. Islam: Their God says that he never walked the earth and that Jesus was merely a prophet. All of our God's say different things. For you to say they are all the same God would be a contradiction.
i thought you said you followed the god of the old testament? because guess what jews and muslims do as well. at first i thought you where someone who just might have been ignorant of that fact no big deal i had no problem correcting you. but now that you have been corrected your just being delusional. feel free to think whatever you want but know that your just being silly saying muslims and christians dont follow the same god as the jews.
now all your doing instead of admitting you where wrong about the same god your just arguing which one is right.
you are making a claim that the god of the jews did something that they do not believe. you have no proof of this claim but assertions. so because of your assertions you feel correct in saying they no longer worship their god but you do. to say it another way you have hijacked a religion and told the followers of that religion that their way is wrong and your way is right
Judaism rejected its own Messiah and is no longer within the covenant promised by God, for that covenant was fulfilled in Christ. Christianity is therefore the Old covenant fulfilled in the New and followers of Judaism are being stubborn and blind by following a dead religion. As for Islam Christianity views Islam as a Judeo-Christian heresy.
ok well i will remain civil here even thou you dont deserve it.
i am done with you until you apologize for your comments towards others beliefs. then after that you bring something more to the discussion that just preaching, i have read the bible i dont need to waste my time being preached to, and assertions of yours being true. bring evidence for yours being true not just assertions then we will have something to discuss
What evidence do you want? Your so caught up in wanting to make every false religion happy that you lost sight of being true to your faith. The jews did not accept Jesus as the messiah so they made up a God to satisfy their dead religion. Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet but did not believe him to be the messiah so they made up a God to satisfy their beliefs.
Jesus Christ is my God, The Bible is His word. Anything else i do not concern myself with. You believe in the quran. I believe in The Bible. I'm not the person you wanna talk to about Islam
i was simply stating if your going to follow the god of the old testament well the the bible is written by man but the quran was given to man by god directly i was just letting you know your reading the wrong one
thanks for "trying" to tell me about my beliefs. But first thing All of the Bible is right. There is no wrong one! Jesus said he came to fullfill the law, not destroy it(Matt. 5:17). The quran has nothing to do with Christianity no matter what they say. Jesus in teh main point of the Bible and nothing else(John 1:1)
other than the fact that both christians and muslims worship the same god. so please explain how the two religions worshiping the same god make them have nothing to do with each other?
ok well when you finally decide to stop contradicting yourself let me know till then i see no reason to keep talking with you.
the jews, muslims and christians all follow the same god of the old testament. that is the truth your failure to understand that just shows how little you know about your own religion
its funny how people who no nothing of the bible(my belief) think they can tell me what is this and what is that you have not put up any scripture supporting anything you say
so your saying that muslims and jews dont go by the same god of abraham the same god that gave moses the 10 commandments the same god that told noah to build an ark and then flooded the world. you said you where a christian so these are your beliefs and guess what the jews and muslims believe the same thing.
way to avoid actually answering the question too bad you already demonstrated how you know very little about the bible but hey there is a way to change that actually read the thing then you could learn about other peoples faiths instead of just assuming you know something
"all other religions except chirstianity are false"
thats wat all other religions say as well..
given the fact christianity is relatively new compared to HINDUISM, TAOISM, BUDDHISM etc are actually more logical and more sceintific than abrahamic religions so again can someone say
@Jenfucius it is also on a weak foundation and your also saying everyone who isnt an atheist is false not to mention I look for evidence for my christian beliefs
Let us try to have a discussion? Are you validating that there is no God? If so, how do you come to the fact of the existence of man and the universe? Let us start here.
If one were capable of moving at the speed of light one would then be moving in infinity and staying still. This would then put one in the state of eternity where all presence and awareness would be one in the same. Therefore, there is but one God and Spirit. It's not numbers that count, it is essence.
I must admit, this is fun. Light moves at 186,000 mpsec. If I were sitting still while you were traveling at 92,000 mps and we both measured the speed of light it would still be 186,000 mps for us both. Therefore, something has changed for you. The nature of space and time. If spacetime cannot be constant then all empirical theory is no more than a guessing game. When we reach lightspeed we become eternal. This is the great unknown. God.
religion can dick off.

@symsee Are there any other contradictions that you may have found? Please fill me in.

@symsee Sry to barge in, but if carefully examined there are no contradictions
1) Matthew's account was when Jesus was about 2 years old (v.16, Herod estimated time period)..Luke's account says Jesus was 8 days old
2)Yes two different Goliath's. Some may speculate there were more giants, since Goliath had 5 stones (1 Samuel 17:40)
3)In Matthew, Herod didn't want break his oath (v.9).. Mark just explains Herod's feelings toward John the baptist
-Hope that helped!

You are arguing your point making the assumption that the bible is the one true word. Your arguement fails. You need to address the reasons you believe the bible is more true than the Koran, Talmud, or anyother religious document. Saying that it is true because the bible says its true is circular reasoning and is a logical fallacy
Cerulean0987 1 year ago
@Cerulean0987 I did not commit a syllogism. i say it is true because if convinces me more then those others, i was talking how they cannot claim its just like the others.
meeene4 1 year ago
nobody else besides jesus "performed miracles"? you obviously dont know any other religions. and its not only a choice between jesus and not jesus - its a choice between jesus and thousands of other prophets, each one as convincing as jesus.

ur religion contradicts it self
xtheman75 1 year ago
@xtheman75 How so?
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 one of the commandments say thou shalt have no graven images nor bow down to them.1st thing that comes up is a cross he probably prays with n kiss n wear. psa96:5For all the gods of the nations [are] idols: but the LORD made the heavens. an idol has no connection with our God or our Saviour u need nothing to show if ur christian. thats why our saviour says this 1jo3:18My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. worship in deed by obeying
xtheman75 1 year ago
Wait... so you're saying that other religions are wrong because Jesus said so, and that Jesus must be right, because stories say he performed miracles and rose from the dead.
Ummm... other religions have the same stories. Why their stories are wrong hasn't been accounted for.
symsee 1 year ago
@symsee They are not stories, they are eye witness accounts from people archeologically verifiable. Can you quote me stuff from other religions of the same circumstance?
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 Ah, so like the first-hand eye-witness accounts from buddha's disciples of Gautama Buddha around 500 BCE in which the buddha performs miracles. In fact there are accounts of this throughout buddhist history with archeologically verifiable facts.
Herodotus, the greek historian, wrote of many archeologically true things, but also fills his accounts with the fantastical - presumably all of his writings are factual also?
If they are true, why are biblical accounts so contradictory?
symsee 1 year ago
@symsee It is because you misconceive the bible, quote me a couple of contradictions then, and plus Jesus did more than Muhammad did.
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 First, I don't 'misconceive' the bible - I didn't conceive it at all: it's clearly a set of myths laid down in ancient times - much like all other religions. Second - I didn't mention Muhammad. Third, shall we go with the new testament only for contradictions? The list is too long: try google.
symsee 1 year ago
@symsee If you have not read the bible you cannot refute it, it is not a myth, myth is not logical, but if something was archeologically verifiable it would be more logical, There are a lot of views on the new testament on where it came from that plays a big part of it.
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 I have read it, and find no compelling reason to believe it to be more than myth. Many myths have archeologically verifiable components - Homer's odyssey, for example, or (as mentioned) herodotus' history. It would be more logical to assume it was myth on the basis of (a) having no actual evidence of the extraordinary claims, or (b) the fact that it assumes every other mythology is untrue EXCEPT this one, without a good reason for doing so.
symsee 1 year ago
@symsee Yes, but none of those documents you have presented to me has withstood the test of time and, has been more accurate and, reasonable than the bible, the only reason you would refute from having a contradiction is because you have an agenda.
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 What do you mean they haven't withstood the test of time? I don't think the bible's track record with confirmation through evidence is exactly a glowing example of authenticity. What exactly is accurate and reasonable in the bible that makes it more believable than other religious texts?
I bring up the contradictory elements of the bible because they show that its veracity is in question.
symsee 1 year ago
@symsee Contradictions, you have not brought up one contradiction, so i cannot speak on that, I said they withstood the test of time to prove a point, when god said his word would never pass away, and it has not, by what i know of god, that is why i say it is more reasonable then others.
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 Contradictions in the bible fall into three groups - contradictions internally (where different sections of the bible disagree with each other), contradictions of translation (where translations are incorrect/erroneous) and contradictions with known external events/contemporary documents. A little research will show you that.
As other religions have similar historical credentials, saying the bible is the only true word of god is a case of special pleading.
symsee 1 year ago
@symsee Once again, quote me a contradiction, if you can do this, then i can refute your argument much easier, trust me, all cotradictions you bring up, i have a very good answer for it, try me.
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 A few example contradictions:
Type 1: Matthew 2:13-23 vs Luke 2:21-40, I Samuel 17:23, 50 vs 2 Samuel 21:19, Matthew 14:5 vs Mark 6:20.
Type 2: Hebrew->Greek translation of the word "virgin" for Mary which more accurately means "a young woman" or similar.
Type 3: The flood. Creation. Events surrounding Jesus' birth.
symsee 1 year ago
@symsee Thank you! but i do not see how you will win by listing them in juxtaposition, i have no idea if you copied from another site, but for now can you clarify how all of those verses are contradictions?
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 No problem - in the mean-time please address type 2 and 3.
symsee 1 year ago
@meeene4 Internal contradictions:

It is only an error if there is absolutely no conceivable way the verses or passages can be reconciled.
meeene4 1 year ago
@meeene4 It's a contradiction if one account asserts a given fact, and another asserts a different fact which precludes the first. Don't forget, the bible is the perfect and unaltered word of God as inspired by the holy spirit! it should get its facts straight.
symsee 1 year ago
I hated "believers" and counted them all nuts in need of something better to do with their Sundays and some psychological help. I was driving to work one morning and had to pull over, and to my suprise I believed that this Jesus was who he claimed to be and went on to learn as much about an imperfect book that was attached to his name, though inspired by God, man did his best to write down these accounts and witnesses. Sadly this doesn't happen for everyone, truth is, you may not get here.
glorified3 1 year ago
Jesus was not a christian and did not claim to be nor do you see the word christianity in any of the bible. Yeshuah (Jesus) was a Jew and would not follow what most christian theology tradition teaches. 2 Tim 2:15.Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
sepharbori 1 year ago
@sepharbori In the New Testament Jesus was called the Christ "the annointed one" hence the reason we call ourselves Christians and our faith "Chrstianity" Yes Jesus was a Jew but so what

sabertooth1980 1 year ago
If you accept what Jesus said, then Christianity IS the only true religion. But there are always going to be people who doubt Him. Even if God had a loud, booming voice there are people who would think it was a cheap trick to get more people to convert. You can say what you want, but there are those who will not believe.

supercrevolution 1 year ago
Even if a Jesus did exist - to assume that he actually performed any miracles or caused any supernatural events is, at best a stretch, if not ridiculous. To then suggest that eye-witness testimony, mentioned in a 2K year-old book (already littered with superstition) is somehow tantamount to court-worthy evidence is just plain stupid.
As for the CS Lewis gambit - 'Lord, Lunatic or Liar'? I'll suggest: How about 'Mistaken'?
Do you guys believe in the tooth fairy and santa also? Unbelievable!
Betelgeuse3000 2 years ago
If we suppose that a mind created the natural universe with all it's different life; we can state the mind capable of fixing or changing it. These miracles were small and near. No magic. The ability to speed up a process (wine), reverse outcomes (Lazarus) and control nature (quiet the storm). Not alien interference but the Creator and King of our world.
watershi 1 year ago
@watershi
Spewing rhetoric does not make it true.
Jenfucius 1 year ago
I was not asking you to accept anything as truth. Just suppose. Rhetoric is a method of discourse to come to an agreement. The Kalam Cosmological argument is rhetorical but very helpful in coming to a principle. The universe was created in the finite past. Time and space are products of this event along with matter and energy. Any cause had none of these properties. It is in the pure sense of the word a miracle.
watershi 1 year ago
Rhetoric is not a discourse. It is propaganda. Like how Joseph Goebels & the NAZI's used it.

"Nineteen Eighty Four" by Goeorge Orwell
Great book.
Jenfucius 1 year ago
In medieval educational theory the trivium consisted of grammar, rhetoric, and logic. These were considered preparatory fields for the quadrivium, which was made up of arithmetic, geometry, music, and astronomy. In turn, the quadrivium was considered preparatory work for the serious study of philosophy and theology.
watershi 1 year ago
We must get by this issue of rhetoric or we will never hear each other's view. Propaganda is the willful removal of a fact in the string to truth that causes an idea to be ill defined. A=B=C. The propagandist leaves out B.
watershi 1 year ago
It seems we are done. I wish you well. One last suggestion. Read the Bible by God.

Muslims, Jews, and Christians all worship different God's.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
really so the old testament has nothing to do with the jews or islam?
Nibielari 2 years ago
@Nibielari Let me slowly break this down for you. Judaism is about serving God by following all of his commandments.
Islam believes that Jesus did exist but he was just another prophet and that Mohammed was God's last voice on earth. Neither of these religions recognize the messiah.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
@Nibielari The only path to God is by accepting Jesus. No amount of good works will get you to God
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
i think your problem is that your thinking i am saying they are the same religion. i completely understand that they are three different religions with different beliefs and practices but non of that has anything to do with the fact that all three of them worship the same god.
Nibielari 2 years ago
@Nibielari Ok you might be right about that lol and I apologize for how i worded myself. Ok the Islamic God and the Christian God are different because they disagree on the foundation that Jesus is god or he isn't. Muslims are taught that Jesus was one of allah's greatest prophets but that he wasn't God. So basically we have to separate teachings from supposedly the same God? Either God did become in the flesh or he didn't and since our books differ each other they are not the same God.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
the statment they cant all be right but they can all be wrong fits here. your argument why christians and muslims are not worshiping the same god could be the same argument a jew could say to a christian. all three just follow different prophets and have different beliefs of those prophets. but all three prophets are of the same god. the creator of adam and eve the god of abraham.
jews = moses(mostly)
christians = jesus
muslims = muhammad
all three followed the same god
Nibielari 2 years ago
If we all serve the same God then why do we all differ about Jesus? There is not more than one path to the Lord. Jesus said he is the way the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the father BUT BY ME. Any religion that teaches that God said differently is a false one. Judaism and Islam teach different things. If we did worship the same God then we would all agree, but because they do not worship Jesus, who was God in the flesh, then they serve separate Gods.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
your still confusing the fact that your beliefs in different prophets doesnt mean your still not following the same god. christians believe god did something the others dont just like the muslims believe the same god did something that christians dont
Nibielari 2 years ago
The basis of religion is what God says. The only thing that all of our religions have in common is the fact that we all worship one God and that is where our similarity ends. Judaism: Their God says that the messiah has not arrived. Christianity: Our God says that he walked the earth as Jesus Christ. Islam: Their God says that he never walked the earth and that Jesus was merely a prophet. All of our God's say different things. For you to say they are all the same God would be a contradiction.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
i thought you said you followed the god of the old testament? because guess what jews and muslims do as well. at first i thought you where someone who just might have been ignorant of that fact no big deal i had no problem correcting you. but now that you have been corrected your just being delusional. feel free to think whatever you want but know that your just being silly saying muslims and christians dont follow the same god as the jews.
Nibielari 2 years ago
Nope I am Christian so I follow Jesus Christ and those that claim to worship God not through Jesus are false.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
who was following your god first the jews or the christians?
Nibielari 2 years ago
The jews were following God until he showed up and started preaching to the masses. Then they stopped following and we started.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
now all your doing instead of admitting you where wrong about the same god your just arguing which one is right.
you are making a claim that the god of the jews did something that they do not believe. you have no proof of this claim but assertions. so because of your assertions you feel correct in saying they no longer worship their god but you do. to say it another way you have hijacked a religion and told the followers of that religion that their way is wrong and your way is right
Nibielari 2 years ago
Judaism rejected its own Messiah and is no longer within the covenant promised by God, for that covenant was fulfilled in Christ. Christianity is therefore the Old covenant fulfilled in the New and followers of Judaism are being stubborn and blind by following a dead religion. As for Islam Christianity views Islam as a Judeo-Christian heresy.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
ok well i will remain civil here even thou you dont deserve it.
i am done with you until you apologize for your comments towards others beliefs. then after that you bring something more to the discussion that just preaching, i have read the bible i dont need to waste my time being preached to, and assertions of yours being true. bring evidence for yours being true not just assertions then we will have something to discuss
Nibielari 2 years ago
What evidence do you want? Your so caught up in wanting to make every false religion happy that you lost sight of being true to your faith. The jews did not accept Jesus as the messiah so they made up a God to satisfy their dead religion. Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet but did not believe him to be the messiah so they made up a God to satisfy their beliefs.
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
holyfreeholy is right. You said i need to read the bible. I know i just gave you scriptures that support what i say. Matt. 7:15
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
how does that explain the fact that christians worship the same god as the jews
Nibielari 2 years ago
because some jews (as IN THE BIBLE) muslims as well, ARE FALSE PROHETS therefore do not WORSHIP THE SAME GOD!. The Bible talks all about this.
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
did you just say that the jews worship false prophets?
Nibielari 2 years ago
what are you talking about
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
Romans 9, and 10 is good bro also Acts 4:12 brings light to each ones choice of worship
mjclay09 2 years ago
@Nibielari Islam is an absolute false religion. Judaism just needs to accept that Jesus was God in the flesh then they would be on track
holyfreeholy 2 years ago
@Nibielari We all have our own beliefs and we just happen to each name our God the same name, but they are not the same being

The bible goes against itself as well...like
every one born of the flesh has orginal sin, but why not jesus? Jesus was also

but jesus remains sinless. The bible states be fruitfull and multiply...and it's a
jewish law/commandment but christians state jesus was a virgin...why
does christ remain perfect? hypocrites.

what about the quran that is directly given to us by god
Nibielari 2 years ago
Jesus Christ is my God, The Bible is His word. Anything else i do not concern myself with. You believe in the quran. I believe in The Bible. I'm not the person you wanna talk to about Islam
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
i am an atheist thank you
i was simply stating if your going to follow the god of the old testament well the the bible is written by man but the quran was given to man by god directly i was just letting you know your reading the wrong one
Nibielari 2 years ago
thanks for "trying" to tell me about my beliefs. But first thing All of the Bible is right. There is no wrong one! Jesus said he came to fullfill the law, not destroy it(Matt. 5:17). The quran has nothing to do with Christianity no matter what they say. Jesus in teh main point of the Bible and nothing else(John 1:1)
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
other than the fact that both christians and muslims worship the same god. so please explain how the two religions worshiping the same god make them have nothing to do with each other?
Nibielari 2 years ago
Jesus Jesus Jesus. John 1:1 there you go that should be all you need
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
so you dont follow the old testament but the new testament?
Nibielari 2 years ago
Jesus came to FULFIL the law not to destroy. I follow the old testament thru the new testasment
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
ok then so you worship the same god as muslims and jews what is so hard to understand about that
Nibielari 2 years ago
Because muslims and some jews do not believe Jesus Christ in the Father, Son, and the Holy spirit
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
of course if that was the case they would be christian. but that doesnt change the fact that you worship the same god.
Nibielari 2 years ago
well it does because Jesus is My God not theres therefore they don't believe in my God and there god is wayyyyy different
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
ok well when you finally decide to stop contradicting yourself let me know till then i see no reason to keep talking with you.
the jews, muslims and christians all follow the same god of the old testament. that is the truth your failure to understand that just shows how little you know about your own religion
Nibielari 2 years ago
its funny how people who no nothing of the bible(my belief) think they can tell me what is this and what is that you have not put up any scripture supporting anything you say
WESTSIDEGENIUS 2 years ago
so your saying that muslims and jews dont go by the same god of abraham the same god that gave moses the 10 commandments the same god that told noah to build an ark and then flooded the world. you said you where a christian so these are your beliefs and guess what the jews and muslims believe the same thing.

If one were capable of moving at the speed of light one would then be moving in infinity and staying still. This would then put one in the state of eternity where all presence and awareness would be one in the same. Therefore, there is but one God and Spirit. It's not numbers that count, it is essence.
watershi 1 year ago
You still havnt proven your point.
Jenfucius 1 year ago
I must admit, this is fun. Light moves at 186,000 mpsec. If I were sitting still while you were traveling at 92,000 mps and we both measured the speed of light it would still be 186,000 mps for us both. Therefore, something has changed for you. The nature of space and time. If spacetime cannot be constant then all empirical theory is no more than a guessing game. When we reach lightspeed we become eternal. This is the great unknown. God.
