Ito, the current president of Honda MoCo. canceled this car because he shifted the R&D teams and finances to produce more environmentally friendly technologies for cars like the FCX Clarity. People need to understand that Honda is still a small vehicle manufacturer and doesn't have the substantial financial resources compared to much larger manufacturers like Toyota and Hyundai. Frustrating, yes, but it's a wise and respectable move by Ito to ensure Honda's future.

Development has mostly been done on this car. It has been "canceled" but Acura says it could come back. Though Best car magazine says it's not coming back.

The JDM price would have been 20,000,000 JP Yen but the US price would be much lower.

V10 -700hp means nuffin unless the car comes under 1300kg, all these new cars coming out at over 1500kg, its worthless. they dont need to make such a big power full engine, keep it under 1300kg give it 400hp at wheels will keep up with porches, and beat GTR simple, but now Honda spent too much just like they did in F1 now they cant afford it its canceled.

It is far in development actauly some are saying that honda is just temporarily haulting production..and is continuing soon. sometime around when the next F1 season is in full swing.. something like that. The car is to far in development to just drop.

Just been announced in June, Takeo Fukui current CEO of Honda is stepping down and Takanobu Ito (engineer behind the original NSX) is taking over. He even said: "Honda is at its core a fun company, where we hope customers buy cars with the same enjoyment we have in making them. I want to raise motivation so that we have fun again." If that doesn't sound like positive news I don't what does!

It appears to be true that the NSX has been canceled as there has been several reports stating that Honda has shelved it's plans for the NSX due to the economic crisis.

no it was everywhere. there isn't really any evidence that says this will even be called NSX, it's just it's replacement and it's really doubtful that it will sound that awesome when acura finally debuts to the public.
