  • Also it has heated seats, auto heating and A/C, REAL rims, CD player and tape player, nice speakers, self tinting rear veiw mirror, heated mirrors, passcode loce, and all leather button adjusted seats.

  • we just bought a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis (Limited Edition) from our grandfather for $4000 it had 36000 miles he inherited it from their neighbor it hauls ass and it has an all leather interior and real rims (not hubs). The best part is that we got it for $4000 and the kelly bluebook value is $9000 so already we scored.

  • the transmission on the 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis/ Ford Grand Marquis (Mexico)

    Transmission

    4-speed 4R70W automatic(2003-2005)

    4-speed 4R75E automatic (2006-2011)

  • A glaring design flaw on this car was the 50/50 front bench. I realize it LOOKS better as 50/50, but this has terrible consequences for the unfortunate middle passenger in the front when the two sides are adjusted so differently to accommodate, say, a giant driver and then a giant rear-seat passenger who for whatever reason could not sit up front. I don't know from experience or anything...

  • don't you like how they try to make a body on frame V8 car with 230 hp and a column shifter more futuristic by putting a digital instrument panel?

  • Cool video Kyle. I thought it had heated seats?

  • 6 people always stay in school for the weekend

  • I love the dash too! I have a 98 Crown Vic I'm gonna put a console/floor shifter in but I'm waiting for spring so I don't freeze my fingers off! lol

  • 00:52 what's that on the door

  • it's look just like ford crown victoria

  • 5 people don't know saabkyle04

  • you know, we had a marquis rental when I was in Marco Island, FL, and maybe it's just the fact that I was enjoying the warm weather so much, but that car wasn't bad even if it does have a reputation as a geezer car

  • @PantstofryPWNZ Of course, the Grand. M. is for geezers. Only. And SUV's are only driven by women who want to go shopping in downtown - and are bad at driving ....

If you believe in every stereotype people place on cars, you will be better off buying no car at all. Because there is always someone who will find some reason to mock at your car.

The Grand Marquis is a great car. A good choice if you search for a safe, reliable car which you want to drive for 5 yrs or more.

  • @Travianwinner Why are you getting pissed off? Did I insult you? I said it was a good car... did you even read what I said? Here, I'll rephrase it:

Despite its reputation as being a "geezer car", the GM was a good car. There's a certain public perception of cars, and you can't change that. But you can choose to ignore it. I almost bought a Volvo, people thought I was acting like a soccer mom concerned about safety. But who cares? You ignore it. But the perceptions still exist.

  • @PantstofryPWNZ No one was insulted. And I was not 'angry'. However, it just sounded like the weather made you enjoy the car ride, not the car itself. The rephrased version sounds much better.

  • @Travianwinner I once drove a van down in florida and it made it seem cool. The weather helps when you're used to snow. But its a solid car nonetheless

  • WoW! Awesome car!

  • I'm a little confused because I thought the ultimate edition had the sunroof??

  • the 2003-2011 Mercury Grand Marquis is assembled in

    Canada:St. Thomas, Ontario

  • The Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis, and Lincoln Town Car are the best vehicles on the road. Not in performance, not in fuel economy. They are just great cars that will last forever.

I may be a GM guy, but I like this Ford. Not only is it a Ford that I actually support, it's my favorite car.

  • @sonic3243 Yuuup. Its the only car that can go from 100+k of being thrashed in police duty right to easily another 100-200k of taxi livery in a city with only regular maintenance and maybe some minor repairs. I own a 98 that is ex-state police, has 180,000 on the clock (over 100k it was a patrol car), I have owned it for over a year and pu about 10k on it and only put $150 into it (IAC went, took 10 minutes to swap in the new one). Epic cars.

  • @moparmaniac21 and they are quite affordable and comfortable, too! (although a brand new police model will cost around $30,000; and you can even buy the LX, Taxi, and Police models from certain dealers still!)

Sounds like your CVPI is going to last a very long time, but like all vehicles, if maintained, will last nearly forever.

  • I'll be getting a '99 LS in a couple weeks.

  • petrol costs, old car ... wait for the rich banana: P greetings, diesel power:)

  • beautyfull car, very confortable, nice engine, thank you for sharing

  • What was the last year digital instrumentation was offered in the Crown Vic & Grand Marquis, anyone know?

  • the 2003 is the biggest piece of crap Mercury has made. Wait until the lighting control module burns out and it cost $550.00 just for the part......at 60 thousand miles!! Wait until the planetary gears in the transmission go out at 90 thousand, $1500.00. Inherent problems of this crappy year model. Thats just 2. I never had a severe problem with my 95 and 96 Merc GM! Steer clear of this crap!

  • Very nice....

  • A true gem these are that will truely be missed when they stop making them.

  • car is fully loaded, minus the sunroof? wow :-(

  • Like the car and like your style of describing it. I live in good old Germany and am looking for exactly such a car with digital gauges dark outside (blue) and tan leather inside. Wonder if I will find the right rig for me, they are rarely sold here in Germany.

Thanks for presentic this beautiul piece of American iron !

    JoJo

  • @jojonighthawk

    Interested in buying mine? ;-)

  • yo kyle imma fan y dnt u do a comparison video and don't forget to mention ma name

  • sweet merc man... its a lot like my 03 town car...

  • Some Mercon V will silence the steering whine. :)

  • Like I said before, I was so PISSED when my uncle got rid of his. It was nice.

  • so do you miss your lexus at all?

  • Hi kyle, i saw a yukon xl in this vid... it would be cool if you did an in depth tour and a test drive maybe? I dunno... just an idea.

Again, Great videos ! I enjoy watching them. Very informative.

  • That power steering pump is rather loud...

  • @humanparody12 it's typical on these cars until they warm up a bit,

  • @saabkyle04 haha its funny how i never hear it anymore in our car.. they put electric steering in it now. i have to say.. electric steering is waaay smoother then hydraulic.. in the end it all cars will have electric steering i think. well its still partially hydraulic anyway

  • @humanparody12 Seems like all of Fords power steering pumps are really loud, but they last forever.

  • @humanparody12 It's a ford thing lol

  • @humanparody12 It's much worse in the Ford Ranger's!

  • I like how they made the compartment overhead big enough for big youngster sunglasses or old man orange eye visors, not the holders on European car big enough for only Oakleys.

  • this car is stunning and is like ur grandfathers, is his the ultimate also?

  • i have driven in my uncles and they are really comfterbal. Out of the town car, Crown Victoria, and Marguis this one is my Favorite

  • I hate wood trim. You should show us the price you guys are selling it for. As for other cars.

  • @MrPS3Wii as I've told many people in the past, if you want the prices I'll give you the contact info for the dealer, people will end up arguing over the prices whether they think it's good or not and I'd rather not deal with the hassle haha

  • @saabkyle04 Yea true I understand. I wouldn't need the price. 1-I'm 16 still looking for my first car. 2- I live in PA..ha

  • @MrPS3Wii lol i'm 16 too and I live in PA and I'm looking for my 1st car :)

  • @TJC450 O the irony. Ha

  • @MrPS3Wii Yeah I know lol

  • @TJC450 ha yea. We will have to keep in touch and tell each other what car we get. I'll friend request ya.

  • @TJC450 you should get this one not 2003 but like a 2006 men it is the nicest, and it is also big and it is the smoothest ride i driven

  • @ggm888 I'd rather have a small SUV such as a Blazer.

    I don;t like driving cars.

  • @MrPS3Wii Too bad you don't like wood trim, because it belongs on a car like this. Some wood trim is tacky, yes.

  • i like! I love big boat cars. Haha. I'd like too see the Chevy Tahoe in the video also.

  • I would like to see a test drive of one of the two chevy tahoe's on the lot. Nice video and nice car!

  • that black or blueish one needs some more chrome !!!

  • That is one nice interior for a car that has over 100000 miles, I LOVE this car, one of my all time favs, this and the ford crown vic and lincon town car are all just soo classic. Looks and feels great.

  • HAH! The blue one looks EXACTLY like my aunt's!!!!

  • After seeing the side by side comparison, i like your grandpa's Grand Marquis a lot better. I really think the chrome accents make the car look a lot nicer.

  • Hey guys please thumbs up after watching, I couldn't do the annotation due to lack of Internet connectivity

  • I know Justin Biebers dad drives one of these !

  • Nice !

  • i love this car

  • i lkike ur version better with chrome stuff

  • horsepower is 224 standard, 239 dual exhaust.

  • @gajda1984 well, I checked the Ford Powertrain Publication I have, and you are 120% Correct!

  • awesome sounding stereo

  • you just can't sell that damn green Expedition can you?!

  • btw love the first gear sound these cars make!! doesnt sound bad for some reason!

  • I really love these cars!!! too bad they stop making them after 2012.. but im sure we will see them on the road for a long time after that. after all these 2 baby's are already 7 years old :)

  • really nice car! must be hard to tell which set of keys is for which Marquis lol. One thing I noticed is it makes a strange noise when u turned the after steering wheel after starting it.

  • @Scott125670 My grandpa's does the same thing, it's always on start up bit it goes away haha

  • @saabkyle04 I had a friend who's mom's Aerostar did that too. Out Escort did it less (was quieter) and the only problem we had was the bolts holding the pump together somehow got loose (but this was after about 14 years). after we took it in to get them tightened, it was back to its old reliable self again.

  • @Scott125670 thats just the power steering pump its common for fords to do that, nothing to worry about tho

  • awsome car . maybe becase cool american cars is not what you se every day here in sweden. just volvos and stuff :( . not mutch swedish cars there? =D

  • @DudeEricsson Swedish cars are relatively rare in the USA. It does depend a little on where you are. In my part of the Northeastern US you see more Saabs and Volvos than you see in other parts of the country. In general, though, they aren't all that common.

  • @Futuregohan14 I live in Dallas and you see a hell of a lot of Saabs and Volvos. Not rare in this city.

  • is a very simple car, but is nice! Is a luxury car in there?

  • Good video! 5*!

  • i want one

  • @WhiteKeyProductions Not if you saw the gas millage, haha. Buy a diesel! hahaha.

Nah thats a good car, just not for the person who wants over 30MPG.

  • @jmurray01 maybe i should invest in a diesel smart car....

  • @WhiteKeyProductions Hahahaha! I would never buy one of those ugly little plastic things that look like they should be wheeled along the floor with a 3 year old toddler at the wheel! I mean a diesel sedan like a Peugeot 405 1.9 TurboCharged Diesel or something. Still gets 45MPG easially!

  • @WhiteKeyProductions You ought to get a Golf diesel instead. More practical and better handling.
