I saw him 3 times last year, in The Netherlands, and now I'm going to the Roundhouse in London as well :)) Really looking forward to it! He's a really humble and guy and funny as hell. When I met him, and the band, he signed my lp's, Alien (green vinyl) and City (red vinyl).
No idea how I rolled upon him but in the period of a year he easily became my favourite artist of all time.
As I came back for my second year at univsersity, it turns out not only is he making an appearance at Newcastle college, but he is playing my student union the same night.
Whilst it hasn't happened yet, I would stake money that one of my best memories this year will be kicking back in our student union with a beer watching a living legend play.

I like how everyone is throwing out SYL requests for him in these videos. I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing them if he remembered them, but that's not what he's about these days. lol.
@Ne1s0n64 Yeah I see what you mean. I asked for Satan's Ice Cream Truck for a joke. I think the other SYL requests were a joke too. I think he took it as a joke when people did but I agree with you as when we saw him in Exeter that evening some drunk guys kept shouting out SYL stuff and it was annoying, especially as it was just him and an acoustic guitar lol. :D
@Edd731 Hehe, your request was pretty great for that reason. As for the other SYL shout-outs, whether jokes or not jokes, and sober or drunk- the Dev loves his fans and flows with it all in such a great way. :)

The whole "wank-guitar" thing is hilarious, even about his own stuff in the past that wasn't necessarily "wanky," but just ridiculously heavy SYL style. Watching the D'addario strings video 'Devin Unleashed' first showed me some of his opinions about dungeon master-esque ways of playing! :)
