That's so crazy my cousin who I thought could and would NEVER go natural...actually went through with a bc (me I just let mine grow out I was never a perm girl got it done once as an adult due to family pressured suggestions & never went back haha), but she had this type of hat & rocked it well with her lil short cut & I said well shiesh do I have to go shorter to rock this look too? @JewellLondon, Yes she FORCED me to relax my hair. I already have said no I don't want it relaxed. I told her it is my hair and it is not fair that she won't let me do what I want with my hair. @JewellLondon, my mom is forbidding me. I have spoken to her many times and she won't let me. I did think about getting a really low hair cut without her permission but I thought about the repercussions. My mom isn't someone you want to go against. Today, she permed my hair against my wishes and despite all my protests and I was very angry and heartbroken. I feel that she doesn't care about my wishes and for me it is very personal. What can I say? I guess I will have to wait till I am on my own.

You have to "listen" to the needs of your hair, use trial and error, and be patient with your hair. Learning about how someone else cares for his/her hair may help but it may not. I oil my own hair when it needs oil. Feel free to ignore this if you thought it was out of line. Have a great day :)
