  • Man great tutorials but i'm stuck >:( When i select phisique for the charater's body i cant select the button (the one which u turned on for the attaching - the 1 with the red dot and the stick man). I turn it on the it turns off by itself. So i can't attach the body to the biped. I tried to attach the biped to the body but it didnt work :( I know its 3 years later but its worth giving it a shot :) Please Reply!

  • @Vladislavchooo I'm having the same issue, i can't select the "Attach Node" button... i'll just keep searching until i'm bored?

  • Thank you so much, really. It's doing wonders to my editing and such - I'm still practicing though...

  • why did my model skin go back to grey after i created a biped and now cant get it to show like on here

  • when i click the little man to connect the model to the biped it lights the button up then goes back to normal (you reckon you could redo this in autodesk 3ds max 2011 cause im guessing here

  • hi mate sick work what you doing here but i have a little question for you:

you said that you can switch view with f3 and f4 but yuo how do i get it like it is in your max? cause if i use f3 i get a million colours and lines.

  • nice clip. have some of you fellas looked at the wow cheats pack from warcraftbotsXinfo (replace X with .) ? it's awesome, i recently down loaded it. its got absolutely everything inside it, gold guides, bots, hacks, glitches as well as the newest arena glitch. i perhaps shouldn't tell folks about it however at least this gives you all a fair chance to obtain it before i pwn you all

  • 7:02 ---> 7:50 i do that stuff, but my pibed dissapears, and if i try to move the character it splits apart, if i drag the feets the feets goes of and stuff

  • im not sure what happend, but im not able to scale the biped only the skin xD

and does the biped have to be exactly as big as the person or may it be tinier ? xD

not easy to fit the biped in a females boobs o_o

  • THat is what i call a model ._.

  • is there any way i can get a rigged model of blue drake of world of warcraft ?

  • envelopes... I dont LIKE them.

  • man i have a problem on this :S when i try to put on physique to the skin nothing hapens. im trying to click the "atach to node" button (that little guy) but nothing hapens. if i then select a skeleton part and then press on that little man and then select the Bip01 it get's atached, but then when i move the skeleton the skin stays in place :S help what do i do to fix that?

  • I was just wondering what you clicked to make it symetrical

  • "Okay envelopes, everybody uses envelopes if their using physic. I don't why, I don't think their precise....'I dont like them! But I will show them"

I don't know why but that part just made me laugh :) Thanks for the tutorial, though I still need to get to grips with some of the terminology used.

  • HeHe i hate them, envelopes are the enemy.., BtW, im not great with the whole video stuff and notice ur tutorial sefearion are fully widescreen, i use vegas and i turn the borders off etc but they still render out with a border :(.. I use the vegas studio.. I have to re do some vids as avi's as this new utube HD dont like wmv's

  • Hmm that's odd =/

What resolution have you set your Sony Vegas Project at? Also when you go to "Render As" and your asked to choose a name for your file there's an option, can't remember exactly how it's phrased but it allows you to fully stretch your video so it takes up the whole screen, just click the box to tick it :)

  • Well, i record tutorials at 1680 res which is stupid i now realise but my vdub resizes that to 1280 (utube hd res). I do click the stretch thing all the time, there are no borders but it still renders with a little cut of the left and right side. But my original footage is full screen grr. My next tuts ill record at 1280 straight from the start :)

  • I did get my new tut in a wide screen view good qual without it squishing it together, but its wmv and utube dont like them for HD, so i have to re render them as avi.. my luck

  • Heesh well good luck with that :P

  • How do you get the mesh to be "ghost-like". I see that when you put a blank material on it, it becomes transparent or something so that you can see the biped inside it. Mine just becomes all grey and won't let me see the biped.

    Great tutorial btw

  • how do oyu move so quickly as shown in like 0:30?

  • Well, I do use a pen instead of mouse but the movement can be done just as quick with mouse. I use shortcut keys such as T for top view, L for left, P for perspective, F for front view. Right mouse button for the quad menu to select move, rotate, scale etc from. I use ctrl adn alt a lot to navigate.

  • Good tutorial, as always, but I have a small question... I try to resize a part of the biped, and when I scale it along the X axis for instance, the actual biped part resizes on the Y Axis, or if its the Z it does it on the X. That means I have to resize in the perspective view and play a guessing game as to which axis to use, which is quite annoying. Any idea why this is happening? This doesn't happen with other objects.

  • Are you in or out of figure mode..?

  • In, it does resize, its just not along the axis I want it to.

  • Hm, it sound like you have messed your biped object centres. Try to select biped and reset the higherachy, this will straighten it out so the resize works on the right angles. If not, create a box and attach the biped to the box. The biped will then take on the same centres as the box resetting them.
