missing you Dottie Rest in Peace. She had a lot of pain and now she in sheltered in the arms of God. What an inspiration Dottie dedicated her entire life to serving the Lord. When she was a child she was going from church to church singing and writing songs. Not just songs but annointed songs.
I miss you Dottie Rambo; you were an inspiration to me at a very young age and it has stuck with me all these years as i share my music with as many people as i can. Thank you for being a wonderful Godly witness for God.
We have lost one of the most Godly women on earth today. She suffered so much pain with her back but what an example of endurance when we give our pain to God. Dottie is singing up in heaven with Porter and Vestal today and what a rejoicing is taking place.
it broke my heart that dottye's daughter treated her so bad. dottye was my friend and we cried many nights on the telephone long distance. i miss her so much. but nobody can abuse her any more. she said that when her husband and daughter mistreated her the lord gave her the beautiful songs we all sing. i guess the lord needed her to come home and rest from the hurts.
you know it hard to set here and not crying watching her cry but you know that dottie and porter are singing and shouting praising the lord for ever and ever more but its not like haveing her here thank you so much for posting this to all of dottie fans and thank you again
Oh Thank God for this wonderful Lady of God, I remember her in South Bend, Ind at Calvary Temple where Roland Gardner was pastor. Dottie use to sing there and blessed us so much even back in the early 1960s. Dottie, We miss you so much.
I remember Dottie since I was a teenager. She only grew more beautiful as the years passed. What a neat and talented person she was. I have always admired her.
How I love Dottie! I can't wait to see her and Vestal in Heaven singing together with a new body. No pain, No broken heart from hurtful people...just loving JESUS.
AML 4/9/09 , 14 years ago, my sisters and I sang this song daily, at my precious newphews bedside, praying that God would heal him,but , it was God's will to take him to home.
No offence meant, but Ms Rambo looks like she had a face lift over the years. Some of the You Tube shots of her from past years show a tired face which seems to have gotten fresher in recent years. Any comments?
Dottie's "tired" face reflected the constant pain she suffered due to botched back surgery many years ago. Any freshening of her appearance you may have observed was due to the joy she felt at being back on the road singing for Jesus, assisted by Larry & Judy Ferguson and Chris Barnes, financed by love offerings and merchandise purchases by her legions of adoring fans. Her trust in people cost her all her money more than once. Her soul is at rest now, waiting for her new face and New Shoes.
@SidsCardShop Dottie was suffering with severe pain and went through a terrible physical battle....Praise God that he restored her beauty with victory!!! Gees I wish some folks would not be so critical...She was suffering so naturally it is going to show on the flesh and on the outside. Yes her beauty was pure radiant beauty from God shining down on her...Love you Dottie...such a sweet soul....rest in the arms of God...he gave her hearts desire.
@LambadLambadLambda Beauty does not come from a face lift. It comes from the inside. Pain can create beauty or bitterness. But when going through severe pain, it is reflected in the eyes. Even denying it, doesn't change that. Have you experienced enough of life to understand that?
Am now 32yrs and i gre up listerning to Dottie, i remeber sitting on my dad's knees while he sang and bounced to Dottie- she is in heaven making beautiful music
I have listened to Dottie sing this song several times i get such a blessing from listening to this Beautiful song. Dottie is in heaven now with the angels and god
singing her beautiful songs up there.Such a fine lady she was.
My wife passed away just rently. Jean and i had been married for nearly 63 years. i miss her dearly but would not wish her back. Two of my grand children sang this song of Dottie's and if I can purchase this one to put with my tributr to both Jean and to remember Dottie please let me know where to purchase it and also Dotties life story.
ive never heard this womans music before.. but i appreciate her. i know she doesnt make music for greedy reasons.. shes genuine. and i know im connected to this. i too have suffered what i think was an anurysm. the left side of my head is numb.. but ive had some experiences.. dreams.. whatever you want to call them. but to sum it up. believe.
Its wonderful that we are all Sheltered In the Arms of God. Dottie is singing in that Heavenly Choir, forever Sheltered in the Arms of God. She was a blessing to so many and her music will live on blessing us all until God calls us home.
God's heavenly angels carried this earth angel home; missed dearly on earth, welcomed with open arms by God to His presence. No more pain, no more sorrow, no more tears. Praise God.
The Lord has blessed you Dottie, and you have blessed us with his songs that you so obediently wrote as you were going through your pains and heartaches. I am going to miss you even though we never met, I have met you through the songs you wrote. Say hello to my dad for me will ya?.....
can you imagine? rejoining her precious friends, Vestal, Howard and Porter! and even our very own loved ones! Oh, heaven sure must be much, much sweeter!!!!
Yes! I introduced Dottie to my mother in 1970 and glowed with pride as I watched them embrace and heard Dottie tell Momma what a fine son she had. I'm pretty sure Momma has already found Dottie and asked her if she has seen me lately. How wonderful to know that it won't be long until I can be with both of them again. Sid

This is one of the most beautiful songs written and performed by our dear Dottie. As the song says "I'll fall asleep and wake in God's new heaven" and that is exactly the way it happened with her being asleep in her bus when this tragic accident happened. Dottie, I love you and I know I will see you again and I will sing with you, Porter, Vestal, Howard, Jake, JD Sumner in that heavenly choir. I pray for your manager, Larry and all of those injured in the accident.

In 1986, I lost the three Rambo albums that I had in a house burglary. An acquaintance of mine knew Dottie Rambo and mentioned my loss to her. Three week later, I received a package with every album the Rambos had every cut and a note from Ms. Rambo telling me how sorry she was and that she hoped these recordings helped.
I was stunned when I saw the news last night. I am not a christian, but I can say with all my heart that I will miss this sweet, caring woman. Goodbye, Dottie. I love you.
Dottie I know the good Lord walked with you as you travled that last long mile as you wrote in your wonderful song The Good Lord Walks With Me. Now may you rest at his feet and we will meet you again soon.
What an amazing soldier in the army of God. Dottie is safe from all hurt now. Pray for those involved in the accident. Pray for the healing of their bodies and their hearts.

The end of this video was amazing as with the fading out of her picture.....as to say so long!
Thank you so much for posting this great song by two of my favorite people, Dottie Rambo from the gospel music world and Porter Wagoner of country music fame. No one, I repeat no one, ever penned a gospel song like Dottie Rambo. Thanks again for taking the time to post this. What a blessing!

A beautiful tribute to Daddy from Miss Dottie.
Miss Dottie was a sweet angel here on earth. My Dad cherished their friendship.
This was the first song at the celebration of life of my Dad, Porter Wagoner at the Grand Ole Opry house.
I'm so thankful Miss Dottie was present to hear their recording, and tell the story of her vision on this video.
Yes Miss Dottie you and Daddy are sheltered in the arms of God.
