Groovy, baby; this really rocks! Oh, just one thing: adding a diddy-bop drum beat to a piece of music doesn't really make it rock n roll, or even more palatable to the pop music sensibility. What adding such a beat does, in reality, is desecrate a great musical work, arguably the greatest religious oratorio in Western Music. Cool! Now, run out and draw a mustache on the Mona Lisa.
way way to slow the best I have heard is from the Chicago Symphony and Chorus/Choral.........all of these tend to be way way way to slow....sounds weird.
Look, there is nothing wrong with writing your own pop gospel oratorio, but screwing up Handel's Messiah is awful. Plus, Handel did NOT end the oratorio with a reprise of the Hallelujah Chorus. He ended it with a glorious fugue based on the word AMEN, which also is what the verse from Revelation says. I have provided the version I sang in back in 1980, which is a pretty good illustration of what "Worthy is the Lamb" should actuall sound like.
Horrible. I want to vomit.
