@heidiweddz God of War 3. Dante's Inferno is a huge lookalike of the GoW series, but Inferno is quite a bit more gruesome in the presentation. Even so, combat is almost identical, other than the fact that GoW has a bit more variety. Just a little.
I really liked the game to be honest, but my favorite part was actually the title screen, the menu and the selection of special feature. The title screen and menu looks fantastic and to me is one of the best I've even seen in a long while, and there's a lot of goodies to look at at the special features section so if you get to scared at the game then you can take a break and look at a documentary about Dante's inferno. To me it's a very good decision that they have made and i really liked it.
dantes inferno is a great game but it just doesnt bring anything new to the table it feels like im playing ninja gaiden2 except ur not a ninja and ur in hell

i beat this in 4 hours. it was very fun, and the trophies for PS3 are pretty easy. but after 3-4 days it gets boring. it has multiplayer now, as a add-on though.
this is alot better then gow 3 i mean i have both and i beat god of gow 3 in less then 5 hr's and really once u beat it theres really nothing to do sooooo how about ripp on gow 3?

dantes inferno is a great game but it just doesnt bring anything new to the table it feels like im playing ninja gaiden2 except ur not a ninja and ur in hell

This is a good game, a very very good game, but you might as well buy god of war 3, which is essentually the same thing, but even better.

Finally. A review of this game that is true to what Dante's Inferno is. Every other review (X-play, Gamespot..) just wrote the game off because the gameplay is similar to God of War. Can they not see a beautiful game?

Just 1 more time: I AM NOT SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT 360! Ps3 has faults just as 360 they're relatively the same! as soon this takin into perspective we can all game peacefully (by killing people online) without a stupid console war. its for the ps3 too... so is darksiders, AvP, Heavy Rain(?), BBC2, and Bioshock 2 (i think if Bioshock eventually came to ps3)... I think is game is OK, If you play God of War is easy to jump in and play the game, because the both game are familiar, so is cool. They are Greek Mythology, Christianity, they should make Chinese Mythology,they are alot of god and monster too.

Oh yeah, why don't you people consider this? Think of Dante's Inferno as a far sequel of GoW3.... only that the Gods have been replaced and the world is back to normal and you go to Hell. :D

i beat this in 4 hours. it was very fun, and the trophies for PS3 are pretty easy. but after 3-4 days it gets boring. it has multiplayer now, as a add-on though.

@Schermens just because you don't like it doesn't mean we rip on it. The game technically isn't better than GoW3, but it damn sure CAN be funner than it (if thats what you mean). I haven't played either yet (except for the PSP version of this but its... meh) so I'll see what the big fuss is about later, after I finish RDR!!

i got this game about 2 weeks ago and on my 2nd playthrough its good even great at times but fuck me me its the most frustrating game i have ever played the puzzles in this game suck and what were they thinking of putting that 10 part challenge mode in 1 of the circles but i admit like most people i prefare god of war 3 because that game is epic

Pretty bad game, I'd rather play God of war 2 or DMC 2 if I wanted another hack and slash game.
Also, there is very little biblical grounding about hell.

Biblical grounding? But this game is supposed to be based off of the Poem Dante's Inferno... It's not exact to the poem either, but again, it's a game and it's fun.
DMC 2? Wow, that's a first. Most people hate on DMC2 as a horrible game... I haven't played that one yet...

i'm sick of people complaining about that the game play is identical to god of war, how about COD mw2 and BC 2? similar game play, because they are both FPS! gow series have just created a new type of game play, so i don't think this one is a rip off at all. plus at least a 9 would be good, since he seems so pleased with it.

@faceripper77 THAT IS SUCH BULLSHIT. its not better than gow 3. its a gamplay rippoff and how can it be better if the gameplay is the same. in my oppinion god of war 3 is better than dantes inferno in every aspect. bigger better boss fights, more fun weapons, better designed levels and overall more action. dantes inferno is a good game BUT only a 360 fanboy who cant play god of war 3 would say that dantes inferno is better. God Of War 3 is better. That is a fact.
