This doesn't work on Win 7....it simply doesn't allow you to stretch the view over the both monitors :( If anyone has a solution to this, please reply
RDA, I have a question regarding 1:02 when you show your graphics card, it obviously has a VGA output and a DVI, but their is also a S-video plug. My question isn't really about this directly, but your answer will help. I'm upgrading my own graphics and the card I'm buying is shown almost exactly like yours, DVI, VGA and S-vid plugs, but it is listed as not having S-video. Perhaps its just a plug to nowhere for some reason. So I'm wondering if your S-video plug works. Thanks!
@willtama111 as long as the card has more then one output it can handle more then one monitor. If the plugs are special like HDMI, you'll either need a monitor/TV with an HDMI input or an adapter to go from HDMI to either VGA or DVI
hi mate can you help i can get 2nd screen working because i can drag things to it but in fsx i can drag screen across both monitors but i can resize to fit both monitors. any idea why? all i can do is get screen into middle with black either side where it dont fit and i cant resize.......I am running vista
@Dmetrey437 When you span the view across two monitors I think there's a chance it could reduce frame rates because the video card is calculating values for twice the number of pixels. This would be most noticeable in virtual cockpit or the exterior views.
Ok I have one plug it is the blue one which is DVI? One one like at 1:23. SO I have no white VGA plug but I was wondering if there was an adapter where you could plug two DVI cords into one line. My computer is a windows7 OS with the actual laptop a gateway. My computers graphics card is an ATI AMD M880G with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200
maybe try usb a usb to vga/dvi/hdmi adaptor at your local electronics store. depending on how many usb ports you have you can have up to maybe around 8 monitors. if you are crazy or rich enough
Question. I just bought 2 monitors for fsx. But when i want to play fsx it just shows up as one screem. They onley thing i can do is dragging 2d object to the second monitor. How can i get that full 3d scream on both monitors. Please HELP
Is it possible to use like a USB to VGA adapter to run 2 monitors if you have only 1 output? For someone with the card tied to the motherboard, is ti possible to disable that video card and replace it with another, dual output card? Thank you for answering ALL of my questions. :)
I'm running an HP Pavilion Elite m9040n PC and I only have a DPI input, however I have a HMDI as well as a tall black thing with two screws on it, if I remove those screws could I get the other port?
or instead of doing this i just hooked my laptop up to my 32 inch tv in my bedroom or i can do down and use a 46 inch tv in my siiting room but great videos because i will end up making the the home airliner cockpit
Is there any way of having it so that the left screen shows the left seat cockpit (Virtual Cockpit) and the right screen having the right seat cockpit? I know i can just open another view and drag the right seat view to the right screen but then its weird cuz there are two runways on landing.
guys, I have watched your videos and I seemed to have tried all I can. I am tryin to use two monitors for a wide view of the cockpit just like the begining of this video. Now I have the monitors setup right and working with FS just cant get the view I want (wide view of cockpit, or virtual cockpit)
Hi, I am running vista. I got up tp the part where you said to go to additional settings but I don't have any of the other options. I probably should tell you that I am running an Intel Centrino Duo Core Processor and the graphics setting say Intel. Please mail back.
Everything I'm hearing is that windows vista doesn't support horizontal span, at least with nvidia cards. Do you know of anyone who got horizontal span working with Vista?
thanks for this but i have only one port can i get an extension that will allow me to have multiple monitors. Also i am thinking of setting up a VC and i will probably need more than 2.

@NikySportsPromotion I only use the S-video to connect to my camcorder. I do that when I want to record video footage directly from the game.

@rogerdodgeraviation So it does actually function as an output? Great, thats all I was looking for. Many Thanks!

Check with your graphics card manufacturer and verify they have updated drivers for Vista.
