  • the beginning of that solo sounds like the solo from Know Your Enemy. I love these guys. Thats gotta be one of my top three favorite solos of all time.

  • The last line does not look right. That's where my 10% unsure comes in hehe.

  • I listened to the ??? part of the lyrics and I'm 90% sure these are the lyrics:

    Throwing it like a catcher

You say what you think you dreamt up

    Running from Freedom

    Your mind is not free

    You'll be digging USAism

  • im 16 and in 1995 i came out of the womb listening to rage

  • haha i like how zack sings like a jamaican person lol

  • Wake up :) I like the reggae-ness in this

  • רייג' תותחים

  • i AGREE WITH YOUR ME4SSAge . what fabulous courageous display you have made in the face of ternary. nothing but respect. God bless you.\ in all your indevereres. I am sorry that i am such a low formk of life that i am unable to pretisapate in your indever.

  • @rsmith656

    its ok

  • What album is this from? Awesome! And I thought I had heard everything by Rage... Ha!

Well, it just makes them more KICK ASS!! RAGE B****!!!!!!

  • @MrRockToStar this is from their demo tape, check out the song autologic, also from the demo tape.

  • Anybody thinks, after making a new original album, they should make an album with all unreleased pieces (including the one played at one live session only, like "Clampdown" or "Lick of teh Shot") re-played and re-recorded?

  • As far as I can remember, the 90's scene kinda went off course when RATM hit he airwaves. The party was over, the freak scene disapeared, people stopped taking LSD and started fighting each other. Before RATM it was fucking beautiful....atleast where I was.

  • theres no time for talk..its time to get active..amerikkka needs us..come on..bring that black flag and that red star and lets start a movement social political and musical..the world needs us to be moral..not profiteers of there suffering and death..no one is gunna change things for us..def not Obama..so like ghandi said "be the change u want to see in the world" so lets go

  • lol 0:23

  • I dint kno Zak was Jamaycan.

  • @infidelkillsalot hes mexican. just the hairdo makes him look Jamaican.

  • @Edbuoy44 His mother was german-irish

  • @fourtrees44 father was Mexican.

  • @Edbuoy44 Yes his father was Mexican, that doesn't make him 100% mexican. His mother was German-Irish. He is a combination of all of those. Wasn't arguing with you that he has mexican in him. Ultimately he is Zack de la Rocha, a unique individual with his own combination of DNA. We are all unique individuals, we due to tend to categorize, but he, you, and me are each a variation of our genetics and our life experiences. Peace out :-)

  • @fourtrees44 its cool, i get you. man i'd like Rage Against The Machine to release a new album, i dunno if its true but there rumours with an album coming out sometym soon.

  • @infidelkillsalot he's not genius.

  • @MrThisotherguy thank you. i am a genus :)

  • @infidelkillsalot youre very welcome:)

  • so this is where Troy and Abed got their beat, mean

  • Dammit Toms KILLING it

  • I love how they mixed like 5 current Rage songs together. It's great.

  • A very punk-ish Rage song IMO. With a little Latino involved.

  • Fucking A! That solo is fucking awesome!

  • Not to hate but this is some wack ass shit. Face song hands down=Down rodeo

  • @brendynireland this is one of rages best songs in my opinion. aha when i first listend to it i was like wtf !? but listen to the lyrics there great the rifts and solos are amazing. but im not a big fan of the jamacan accent aha.

  • I despise the communist / socialist ideologies they stand for. But I can't help but fucking love their music.

  • @MrJST87 if you love this "fucking" music you must know by now there are no ideologies anymore, just cartelism.

  • @MrJST87 haha nice dude...i think thats the way it should be. i listen to some national socialist black metal bands all racist and i'm not into that stuff. don't give a f*** the music sounds good. cheers

  • @MrJST87 same here but there musics amazing

  • @MrJST87 Why do you despise communism and socialism? Just wondering.

  • Man this song reminds of when i was down in the Caribbean and all we did was party with these Rastafarians and talked about the government and we actually listened to this song, that's what got me into this awesome band. Best time of my life.

  • this ain't rage fellas

  • @TheMinderasor Yes it is, it's from their demo album.

  • Great song! I love Tom's solos! Nice pictures! Rage Against The Machine RULES!!!

  • mindsets a threat...

    greetings from indiscreet!

  • Don't worry about my darkness or the car that I steer

  • that riff is awesome, it kinda has a muffin man groove to it

  • @kickinitonthetube you're the fuckin man. quoted.

  • @iberollin i du fuk the us and fuk the government bush kauzd 911, the congress memberz tweak our votes so they kan pick wat president they want, and apparently only 1 third ov ppl giv a shit ppl say 1 third of americanz r stupid i say 2 thirds of americans r stupid the 1 third iznt

  • I thought it was "Deny ability, but now you're put to the test"

  • fuckin awesome

  • when i first heard this song earlier this week i swore it had that " freedom" feel to it.

    good stuff

  • witch album is this of of?, or is this off an ep or somthing?

  • @LaneTheMilkMan It's from their 1991 demo tape.

  • its similar of "freedom" and "bombtrack", i think, but, its awesome, i think again xD

  • at 236 you put "rrang em up in style" its a "raggamuffin style" :)

p.s it aint a made up word, raggamuffin is a style of reggae rap.

  • @danathor99

    1. There are many mistakes. No use to only correct one of them, not true?

    2. No. Raggamuffin is not a style of "reggae rap". It describes a large percentage of the people in Jamaica. Like grassroots vs white collar.

    3. Reggae rap doesn't exist clear that idea out of your head.

  • @D33veeoss i hate to have to resort to this but - Raggamuffin (or ragga) is a kind of reggae rap that includes digitized backing instrumentation. It is a form of dancehall, and has been popular since the middle of the 1980s; "(Under Me) Sleng Teng" (Wayne Smith; 1985) is usually recognized as the first ragga song. The instrumentation is usually behind dub singing, which is similar to rapping in its focus on rhythmic, assonating and rhyming words.- oooo was i right??? yer i was, so shut it thanx

  • @danathor99

GREETINGS AND PRAISE I BRING FROM JAH TO ALL THE RAGGAMUFFINS

A Raggamuffin is a PERSON you nitwit.

And leave rap out of it. Reggae was around long before.

  • Aye.. been listening to RATM since the release of their first album..

  • Jesus, how old was Zach when this was recorded? 13?

  • @InsaneGamer921 chicano soprano, man.

  • killer solo

  • Im 30 and I remember when I was at school and some kid hald his 'Sony' 'Walkman' cassette player and he said "listen to this new band".... this was end of '92... I will never forrget... these boys not only educated me in musi but politics and economics aswel... FIST IN THE AIR PEOPLE!!!!

  • @JakeDean91909 They are back together...

  • @JakeDean91909 Actually Zach De La Rocha said it's a possiblity they might make a new album

  • who is so ignorant to tumbs down as those 10 idiots who do not know what good music is . LOVE RATM till I die

  • You need to read up on Bob Dylan before you put him in this class or Marley class.

Yuh nuh hear wadda man seh? A reggamuffin ting dis. Nuttin bout no bludklaat Dylan. Fuck Dylan.

  • Great upload! ;)

@neonTora: Or Michael Franti and Spearhead, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley...etc...

We are not alone|! Power to people!!

  • 3:24 best part of the song , i cant undestand a thing, not even 1 word :D

  • Its kinda slow and lacking. Has Zack lost his skills as a master MC?

  • This was part RATMs Demo tape and it fits the songs tempo

  • @usucmehardutube dude this was in like 91

  • The usage of the word socialism and pseudo-socialist rhetoric in Nazism is a ploy to draw over workers to their side and lend a false sense of radicalism to their basically elitist ideology. Nazism also violates the philosophy of socialism. How can there be social equality with vast differences of wealth, corporations? Nazism is socially ultra-conservative (hatred towards jews, blacks, homosexuals, etc.) and fiscally right-wing.

  • at 0:46 he loos like the zohon lol i love thes giys (no homo) lol

  • Rise like Lions after slumber

    In unvanquishable number -

Shake your chains to earth like dew

Which in sleep had fallen on you -

Ye are many - they are few.'

(Shelley- the Mask of Anarchy)- just quoted that as I find it inspiring and thought it would inspire others lol. Killuminati! ;)

p.s love the way Zach sings this song and Morello's guitar techniques

  • great song 5/5

  • In the industry I kick reality

The material quencher is just a digresser

  • O yea, and its "Bo!" not "Go!"

    Its a raggamuffin thing.

  • in the repeated portion, he says "duckets" not "darkness". He says "raggamuffin" instead of "rang'em up" and im pretty sure he says "greed" n not "dream" in verse 2.

    thats all i got.

  • C'est du rap de l'époque et ça défouraille grave!

    Bring it down!Now!

  • its just an amazing song but i cant find the bass tabs does anyone can tell where i can find them?

  • i got another rare songs of rage in my mp4.

i got this one, but it name is medusa (¿?)

and other rares like narrows autologic and judgement night

and original versions of down rodeo, vietnow, tire me, without a face, people of the sun, roll right, bulls on parade, wind below and year of the boomerang

    that songs are very diferents

and the first concert of rage in 1991 xD

  • yup i got his one too by the name medusa.

I don't have the "original versions" of the one you've listed, but i'd love to.

    cheers

  • Cool.... Rock and Reggae

  • @bn31395 reggae? i dont hear any reggae influence

  • one of Zack's big influence is Bob Marley, in fact he cites a Bob Marley's Song "Them Belly Fulls But we hungry)" In down the rodeo. Now that would be a matter of lawsuit, copyright infringement, but that's another thing.

  • zacks singing does sound a bit like reggae or raggamuffin, doesn't it?

  • Tom is the fuckin man

  • thats fuckin bullshit

  • haha at the ??????? marks

  • Cool song!

  • yeah agree its great

  • i prefer th type os soloing tom does in this sing than the scratchy DJ type soling. he shreds!!!

  • F*ck man this is great.

  • Got to love Tom's solos

  • bob marley or zack cant tell lol

  • great song 0and great video. thanks for sharing

  • rage against the machine mix!

    watch?v=Ua7br2ge4J4

  • half the demo tape is on limewire. the sound quality is not the best(because it had to be ripped from a cassette of course) but if your a fan its definitely worth putting in your collection

  • Comment removed

  • Old song!!!!!!!

  • whats the name of the demo tape, I must have this!

  • goddamn tom morello can shred!

  • Is that Zack?

  • yes that is he, i was very suprised because of his voice too.

  • very bob marleyish

  • he?

  • how did u get this. id love to have this song.

  • this is on the demo tape released in 91-92 before the self-entitled album, check it out

  • im listenin to ratm since 2000 and never stop!

    RATM POWER HO!

  • @Chapadlowity since 2000 lol

  • People better stop watching Tv and movies, and start listening to these guys.

  • fuck ya, it's all just distractions from what matters

  • totally agree

  • @NeonTora Amen.

    be there

plz spread it...be there with us, spreading this message

  • (A)

  • This isn't from any of their album, right?

  • No, unfortunately.

  • it never got released

  • no its from their demo tape there are other songs on it called autologic and in the narrows really good songs i think and there is a song called darkness of greed they made two version of this song and the other song is called clear the lane but the demotape versions are also on the live and rare

  • Incredible. Different from all the other Rage stuff

  • Workers of the world Unite!

YOUR HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE BUT YOUR CHAINS

  • think, vote and riot 4 your life

  • Is That Seriously Zach?! Otherwise the song is great.

  • really didnt need to put in the picture at 1:36

  • yes they did, its sexy

  • grow up

  • i digs it, odd style but still cool

  • Comment removed

  • 3:23:..."you say what you think you getcha...don't forget the money you thinkin you be in the U S A S Ah..."

    "PUMP!"

  • Why haven't you posted the words I figured out on this? It's the closest anyone will ever come, short of finding the lyrics on google...

  • He also says "Ragamuffin" style at 2:35, I'm pretty sure. Other than those two little problems, I got nothin'. One of my favorite rage songs. If anyone has the original demotape or knows where I can buy one, message me. Of course, if you have it, I doubt you spend your time listening to lower quality versions on Youtube...

  • Solo sounds sort of....Audioslave"ish"

  • Thats because the guitarist is in audioslave..

  • That guitarist is Tom Morello...Duh I know, Its just a kind of Audioslave sound in very early RATM

  • so are the rest of the band - zack

  • weird to hear the other guys in the band doin backup parts like when they say "you know" From what i remember i cant think of any other songs where they do that

  • 1991*

    *the good ol days

  • They do backup in "Clear the Lane" and I'm pretty sure that's not the only other one.

At 1:15, he says "nor to ALLAY your stress" rather than "nor to relay your stress," by the way.

  • u never saw them , then.

  • Tim does backing vocals in lots of songs (calm like a bomb, killing in the name, , but regarding Tom I think he does backing vocals in Autologic

  • + guys dont get me wrong i absoulty love ratm best band ever! but this song is unusual for them but cus its old i was expecting somthing like Take the Power Back or something

  • Yeah, the song just sounds awkward with Zach doing some silly reggae vocals. But if it is off a demo tape, I guess you'd expect a band not to have realized their sound yet.

  • Dude a lot of ratm songs have indecipherable lyrics or words that sound like other words sometimes it helps them ryhm

  • you've all trashed ArtfulRenegade for calling this the "worst RATM song ever", when it probably is (hehe "ragamuffin style") . . . and this is coming from a guy who has "Now it's upon you" (from year of the boomerang) tattooed on his leg.

  • 2012 N.W.O im going to Washington D.C on this 4rth of JULY! we unite to fight the tyranny my country has become! JOIN US IN D.C.!! PEACE 4 ALL! FUCK THE NEW WORLD ORDER!!

  • it's one of the original songs, before their first album would be my guess. I wonder where Antcrabs found this...

  • It's from their Rage Against the Machine Demo tape. Search it on wikipedia. If anyone here wants these songs on iTunes, help request them: If you have iTunes, when you search something in the store that doesn't come up click "request". Also request their album "Live & Rare"...spread the good word of Rage.
