now that i've finally admitted the truth of the matter (thanks) i'll remove the neg. earlier comments and wish you a great new year with lots of quartet gigs. you surely have heard this one "what the difference between a trombone player and a dead squirrel in the middle of the road"? if you know the answer to that one i'll cut and paste the best (and most brutal) jazz musician joke ever and send it to you via private message. it's too long to put up here,too nasty, too true. you'll say "ouch"

i never had the reading chops to be able to play these heads, or the ear to transcribe parker and jaco solos so there is a bit of "kid left out on the playground " grousing in there. cheers

@Mr2fiveone i'm a lounge lizard pianist/keyboardist singer with excellent right hand comping skills and solid left hand bass lines. but weak left hand comping w/soloing= solitiis & no trio/quartet gigs."play alongs at your leisure"w/ cd's practice doesn't cut it. haven't done 5 jazz group gigs in 12 years since i left cali. for germany. a few state radio supported big bands here, but that's beyond my level. i am, as you said , jealous as hell of people like her out there playing like this.

Wow, she was born on the same day as me!

So, i'm just a 16 year old cat who's been into hip hop all his life. Hip hop lead to artists such as Nujabes, and from his kind of music i started to take interest in the piano. Learning to play the piano is one of my greatest passions, and playing it just brings me to the edge. I wish someday, i can make music like Ms Uehara. Peace & Love.
