@elizabethbennettgirl I would choose whichever one you can get for combo of a)least hassle purchasing b) lowest price, and c)most compatible/easiest to use with computer you're going to use the most. The quality difference between the two will NOT make difference - which one you simply like using the most will make ALL the difference. (that said, the SOUND on mine is pretty damn good because its (2) speaker "stereo"... :]

@RichieLeone hi Richie, my new logitech c910 is on it's way. ;) Yeah, my other camcorder is a Canon hfs 11 high def camera that records to internal flash memory. I wasn't sure if it would be suitable as a web cam.

@elevn7 thats so cool jack - I'm sure the "stereo" sound had nothing to do with your choice, right? A little object light on you will help this cam's performance a ton. Also tinker a bit with the settings as some are razor sharp but will largely depend on how hd capable your computer happens to be. Also the upload should be easier although if you go from low definition to true hd the latter file is obviously bigger/slower. Let me know if you are able to do ANYTHING with the "free" "magix" edit

Not to sound snobby or anything but I doubt I'll be installing the magix software, I currently use sony vegas pro and really love it.

The stereo mic on the logitech definitely gets your attention. I hope it works out well.

All in all, I'm pretty excited about it. ;)

Yeah. This can be a tad temperamental/ slow owing to fact that I am using it on a laptop which doesn't have enough horsepower to shoot in true HD. I have to shoot reg rather than widescreen or the synch can go off a bit, and upload times are always longer with higher quality vid. But these things are so cheap compared to camcorders that it makes sense to get too much technology and when the budget grows just buy more computer to grow up around it... BTW I subscribed to your channel :-)
