  • Thanks for a great vid! Excellent discription. I just bought on of these chargers and the instruction i got with mine are not very helpful. I though I could just plug it in and wait. I didn't know to hold the start button down to start the charge procces and I was wondering why my batts wouldn't charge!

    thanks!

  • I am new to lipos and i just bought one of these i was wondering hoe to start a charging process. The instructions don't explain it very well. and also do i have to discharge them after every use?

  • @400exism lipos should NEVER be fully discharged. To start the charge you set the AMP rating you want to charge at, then hold the button for about 2 seconds to start the charge.

  • @earthling1984 thank you! ive been trying to figure out how to start a charge for about 2 hours

  • @legit376 lol, instruction manuals are sometimes useful, although I usually throw them in the trash before giving them a look ;p

  • i have a hot bodies micro charger that has 3 charge rates of 1,2, or 4 amps. could i use this for charger lipo's?

  • what is discharging

  • hello

I notice you had this charger for some time now, I was thinking of getting this for my son. I read some where that it give false peaks and take a few trys to charge lipos?

have you had any problems with it?

  • @NODTHEROD I have three dymanite AC lipo chargers actually. the two shown in this video, as well as the 'ultra' model. all work perfectly and I have never had any problems with them.

  • dude i just brought 1 thanks so much now i can charge my 3s lipo and kock some ass!

  • U r a freekin life saver and battery and charger saver lol it was Sunday and all hoby stores were closed and u help me charge my first lipo and not blow shit up lmao feel proud

  • I just got the passport ultra made a video about it, your right it is amazing!! Very fast and love the precision!

  • do u put them in the pouch when charging cuz im no to lipo

  • THANKS FOR THE VID I JUST GOT ONE IM NEW TO USEING LIPO BATTERYS.

  • @marchon4life no problem! Be safe with them. As long as you use a quality charger, and don't over discharge the batteries, they will last a long time and work very well! Happy RC flying!

  • what kind of bagel did you make? ;)

  • Thanks for the review, I just picked this up at Viper Hobbies in Mesa Az. I read the manual, but was still confused. This review explained everything. Thanks again!

  • is this better then the hyperion 720i net 3 charger? (better then the ultra i mean)

  • @MsPowerade123 I'm not sure really. I haven't researched or used the 720i

  • is this better then the hyperion 720i net 3 charger?

  • how long does it take to charge a venom 5000 lipo,im using the same charger in the vid the one on the left. my battery is dead.its been charging for a hour so far and still charging.

  • @MagnumROCKSTAR1 well, the passport charges up to 5A, so a 5000mAh lipo charging at 5A is a 1C charge rate, and it would take up to an hour to charge, probably more like 45mins, but it depends how far you drain your lipo.

  • how long does it take to charge a venom 5000 lipo,im using the same charger in the vid the one on the left. my battery is dead

  • after using my lipo venom 5000,how long do i have to wait before recharging my battery so i can run my truck again

  • @MagnumROCKSTAR1 I would wait at least 5 minutes to let it cool down a bit.

  • @earthling1984 cool thanks man

  • Hey, I'm having a problem with mine right now... the problem is described in my latest video, please check it out and see if you can help me...

I just got a Slash 4x4 and am dying to use my LiPos on it :D

  • Can you charge with the balance connector only?

  • @energyrc No, you need to have both plugged in.

  • @Killer91109 Why,i thought you could go through the balance wires below 3amps. Is this charger different.

  • @energyrc Oh, I may be wrong then... :/

  • Passport AC/DC LiPo 6S Charger by Dynamite

  • how long will it take for the 4200 mah to charge all the way

  • @crazynewf16 depends what charge speed, but at 4A charge speed, which is about 1C charge rate, it would take about an hour.

  • iCharger 306B from ProgressiveRC and 2 feathermerchantrc power supplies, best $300 spent, last $300 spent on charging ever. Get turnigy nano techs and charge at 5C, 10minute charge times beats 1 hour charge times by alot, plus you can parralel charge and get them all done in one cycle. The 306B is 1000watts, 30 amps.

  • hi i bought one of these chargers yesterday, and i love it, but i have a 5000mah 3s lipo battery from venom, and i have balance charged it on this charger at 4amps just fine, but i read somthing in the directions that said with a 3s lipo you can only charge it at 4amps max (depending on the mah of battery) but a 2s lipo 5000mah you can charge at 5amps, is this right? or can i charge my 3s pack at 5amps, without damaging the charger? thanks both batterys are 5000mah, just a 2s and 3s.

  • @traxxxasdude15 Hey. You should be able to charge it at 5amps... Now I admit I didn't read every line in the manual, so double check what you read in the manual. But a 5000mAh battery should charge at 5A

  • @earthling1984 hi there, I bought one of those charger after i saw your review, but it wont charge 3c 5000mah lipo with more than 4amh witch is OK with me it's only takes 60min, I also got a piece of extension cord for the balancing port so I wont damage the port on the charger

Great review, keep up the good work we are depending on guys like you! Thanks!

  • @zsoltv Hey. Yeah I guess 3cells are limited to 4A, a couple people have said this. This charger is great, but I agree, for large batteries 4000mAh or larger, charge times can be a bit long. I use very many smaller sized 2 and 3cells, so it works great for me, even for batteries that can charge at 3C (many of my batteries are 500mAh to 1800mAh). Thanks for the kind comment and I'll keep the vids coming :)

  • Just bought one, thanks for the info... I'll look for more from yeah...

  • Sweet, ordered this charger from Horizon Hobby a little while a go. Should be here on Monday! Thanks!

  • Also, does this charger have JST-XH balancing taps?

  • @Killer91109 yes

  • Could I charge a 6500 mAh 3s LiPo on this charger?

  • @Killer91109 yes, however, the highest charge rat is 5C, so it will take over an hour to charge that battery.

  • @earthling1984 do u mean 5A im just makin sure thts wat u mean?

  • @skaterg807 I'm not sure what you are refering to. This charger can charge at 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, or 5A.

  • @earthling1984 you said the highest charge rate is 5c lol sry but can you get the traxxas high current connector for this and if so where??

  • @skaterg807 you probably can, check the HH website or Dynamite website. If they aren't available, you could use an adapter.

  • hay i have the same one and its so weird how your and mine also the 3cell port gets pushed in is this a defect !!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lin350gg it might be. It happened on both of mine actually. Still works just fine, but it does get pushed in, but so far only the 3 cell one.

  • @earthling1984 yeah mine got pushed in the fist day i bought it still works fine i love this little chrger!! its fast

  • Would I be able to charge a 5300 mah battery without any harm done to my battery? Would it charge it all the way? Thanks.

  • @CardboardNinja7 yes, a lipo that is 5300 mah would charge just fine on this charger! Your 5300mah would be able to charge at the highest speed this charger can charge at, which is 5A. It will charge just like I showed, and beep when full. And yes it will charge all the way.

  • Get a piece of fishing line and insert it into the balance port wrapped around the balance plug on the battery, and tie the other end to a pen or pencil. Then when you want to remove the plug, all you have to do is pull it out using the pen. Check out Nightflyyer on youtube and see his video on it (Prevent Broken LiPo Plug wires. LiPo-Plug Suction solution. )

  • Get a Dynam DC 6 multi function , with a wall adapter you can use it in a 120 volt wall plug. For 30 bucks it has many more options and has a LCD screen not a bunch of lights to tell you what is going on with your battery. It also has alarms you can can set such as battery temp. There are a whole lot of options for 30 bucks. hey just throwing this at you.

  • Dynm

  • I bought a charger

  • gr8 video thanks

  • Actually it's on the ads on the right of the video by hobbypartz

  • I hate fucking youtube blocking website..just screw youtube...

  • Earth, a much better and cheaper charger would be thunder power's AC6. It's all computerized and nobody uses analog these days at nitroplanes or hobbypartz which is like 55 bucks.

  • @shangsandy87 hey, the ultra one has a 'computer' and a digital screen... but it is $129.99... it also has many more functions and charges more battery types.

  • @earthling1984 But you are comparing apple with Orange. For similar price range, I think AC6 is better than passport :)

If you are talking about 130 range, I am sure I can name some much better chargers than Ultra. Just my two cents, no other intentions:) Love your video and more blade SR!

  • @shangsandy87 well I'll have to look at the AC6... I won't buy it, cus I already have two of these :) They serve my purpose just fine :) But I'll take a look at it to see what it is all about. As for the SR... I have a broken blade grip :( And they are on backorder :(

  • @earthling1984 No you won't need it. Just for folks out there undecided to get a decent computerized charger. Btw, I am planning on getting SR but I heard from half of the reviews on HH that people hate it absolutely as it is constantly out of parts and HH is not doing their job right about that. So I am kind of hesistant. Btw, you can use CPP2 blade grips as told by guys on rcgroup.

  • @shangsandy87 I think those are sold out too... i'll take another look and see what is available. Well yes, often times with their new products, especially their very popular ones, like the mSR and SR, the parts are a little late to come in... Hopefully they will catch up soon. From my 5 or so flights on it... it flies great, and is a blast to fly! But I agree, it is kind of annoying that the parts are mostly on backorder :(

  • ....

    Good review.

    Great info on the charger.

    Thumbs Up ~ Eric

  • @joehandsome99 Thanks! :)

  • thats cool i need a lipo charger. it looks simple and its affordable

  • Another great vid. I going to get the turnugy accucel 6

  • "ooo my bagels done ^_^"

  • looks awsome!

  • Is it sensible to get a charger called a dynamite? :)

  • @vanepico hehe... silly... but yes, it is a good brand and it works great.

  • can you please do an pet room update again?

  • @drtsnakes I do plan to do some pet updates very soon.

  • cule first
