Turn it and let it drain. The crab will die within minutes; less painfully than boiling it alive or cutting its head off. .

Those of you who feel this is inhumane need to know something. The first cut killed the crab. Just because the crab is dead does not mean it stops moving. With such a sudden death spasms can occure which may make it look like it is still alive. As you notice before the first cut the crabs movements where rapid and random. After the first cut, however, The movements slowed down and became more repetitive. Nothing more than a little twitching after the killing blow.
