  • Blind Willie McTell wrote and recorded this as "King Edward Blues." in the 1930's.

    The original melody is from the song "Baby,It must be Love" which was recordedby a woman named Sally Gooding probably in the 1920's. There is no mention of the song under Willie McTell's discography in Dixon & Godrich and Sally Gooding isn't even listed in there. That's all I can tell you.
