jailbeaking doesnt delete any of your stuff. restoring the ipod only deletes files that u download from cydia

second generation is the ipod which came out about a year ago and second is the new ipod touch that just came out..it has nothing to do with version.the new ipod has a sleeker new design and has a speaker..if u have any questions ask me..!!!

If you have buttons on the side (not the top button) then you have the 2nd generation ipod touch.

jailbreaking an ipod is pretty much getting free applications on it without itunes store. It is entirely legal. All it is is getting the apps that itunes doesn't have for free like pokemon or mario games. But I recommend you learn more about it before you do it because there's been a rumor that if you don't do it right your ipod gets bricked!

Dito. Step 1 is fine, it detects that there is a 'device'. Click the blue arrow and the next page is normal apart from the image of the iPod, its not there, and whe you select the iswp in the browse box you get the circle loading thing for about 10 seconds then it disappears, the arrow doesn't turn blue or anything.

It sort of just stops. I've redownloaded everything, it made no difference.
