  • Fantastic :D

  • virtuoso

  • 0:09,

you can hear the air go through his bow more than his queue breath.

  • Passion is a wonderful thing.

  • He plays so loud! Or is there a microphone/amp that I'm missing?

  • At the risk of angering everyone here, I don't really like his playing. He just belts out everything, it's like he's just playing through the notes and not paying any attention to the music. He seems to put great emphasis on speed and just getting through the piece and doesn't enjoy the ride. All the movements he made in this video looked like they were rehearsed and purely for show, for bringing more attention to him rather than the music.

    That's just my two cents.

  • @lardman2228 You haven't angered me I agree, a bit raw. Some bow strokes are good but he's plays at the tip alot and starts upbow in places that seem wrong. At least he wasn't stomping to it with big boots like Nigel Kennedy does. I looked at his beethoven concerto and although not bad, I still prefered Perlmann and Hahn's rendition of it. He's still good. I also hope I haven't pissed off any fans...lol.

  • @dougo1178 Ok...Lets see you play this as perfect as he does..

  • @clonedecalmaker12 Ahh gee....I read the old "Let see you play it then" comments all the time. He's a professional. He did a good job in the Red Violin. If I have to crack out the music minus one and do this then I will in response to your rendition first. Give me a break. Are you a pissed off fan? ohh and I liked Sophie Anne Mutters Beethoven better as well.

  • Ok first this is my 2 FAV things the four seasons by Vivaldi and Joshua bell!!!! He os talented, HOT, and gifted but we r like 30 years apart so I don't think it will work outXD!!! -3

  • I,m new to Violins.I like them.Song was Summer.I guess Summer is fast paced.Seems how this was.

  • It's vivaldi who is the real genius for creating this masterpiece,

  • 1:05 : cool piano :)

and cool music throughout the entire video!

  • @mandereeze3 LOL ~~:3

  • @mandereeze3 It's a harpsichord, I think all of them used to be made with the keys coloured like that. I agree, it does look pretty cool :)

  • He will make that an orgasm to that violin

  • Not Connected

  • No Alarms

  • Show bizz at its worst- second rate Nigel

Kennedy at its best -dragging down good

music to circus level for the unwashed

masses who are impressed by shtick .

  • اللحن ده مسروق من عم بخ

  • He moves too much..... it's distracting.

  • @chichi123xx So close your eyes and listen then.

  • Simplemente espectacular!!!!!!!!!

  • OMG ... viogasm~

  • jajajaj "viogasm"

  • he's so wonderful :)!

  • just cant figure out whats wrong with the 4 dont like's....

  • @Parabuthus They're jealous

  • Joshua Bell comes from indianapolis,.....well, what do ya know? One of our boyz finally and not someone who speaks with halting english.

  • Beautiful~! :] I love Bell's talent. The music he creates just comes to life. ~

  • I love the emotion he puts to it :)

  • joshua;s interpretations are unique...listen to the energy he gives to the piece

  • Mmm, Vivaldi. c(:

  • there's something in the way he plays

that devotedness and the mutuality with his violin.. that's outstanding

  • He's amazing at what he does. And he actually has nice hair. So hard to come by an amazing violinist with fun hair these days...but look at it move!

  • @BeyondxDescription Check out Steven Isserlis. He is an amazing cellist with funky hair! ;)

  • bUENISIMA INTERPRETACION DE ESTA BELLA PIEZA

  • I don't like how the orchestra is in the pit. They are just important.

  • i like the way he sways with music... its only him who does it to such an extent.. interesting

  • Joshua Bell is truly the one person I can look up to and say, "If I was even half as good as he is, I would be more than happy with my skill." Something to shoot for I guess ^.^

  • Very powerful...sometimes it seems like he wish to have rock-drums in the background *g*

    great playing...

  • I think this is fine

  • I like must of interpretation of Perlman

  • joshua bell is the best!!!!!!!!

  • Joshua, the best in the world. Larga vida a Joshua Bell!!

  • i want to see vivaldi play it . . . thatd be hot :)

  • Super genious and breathtakingly beautiful!

  • DANG THATS GOOD!!

  • T.T macho!!!

  • Haha, you know you're a music nerd when you describe your favourite violinist as macho! But I agree with you :P

  • Bell vs Vengerov... who is the best??

  • It depends on your style -- hence the answer is subjective. Bell has a very tight, yet open style, and Vengerov has a very passion driven playing that trying to be restrained. I love both of them, but for me, it depends on the piece. For something like the four seasons, I prefer Joshua Bell.

  • hope i get tickets for his free concert in bloomington

  • OOOMG!!!!!!!*___*

  • Гениальный мужик.

  • Nigel´s pitch is better, although Bell is good too!

  • woauuu!!! impressionante!!!!!!!

  • Brave.

  • What event is this?

  • The Bell is the Best.

  • its not about showmanship or making more money!! i play the violin, and movement is a way to create a more personal feel for the piece you perform.

  • I can only imagine how honourable it would feel to play with Joshua Bell

  • fcuk everyone.

every musicist has his way of playing. Bell has his own one, really beautiful.

  • nigel kennady plays this better

  • Joshua Bell or Nigel kennedy???

(I mean performing vivaldi´s four seasonsons only)

  • nigel all the way, more passion

  • Bell

  • hahah Joshua Bell cracks me up. He's an excellent musician, don't get me wrong. But he's a horrible performer.

  • i agree, i hate those classical musicians who try to make a show out of their performance, just to make more money...another example for this is André Rieu.

  • again...like I've said to other people, if you don't like their movements and ways of showing emotion, close your eyes and listen to it.

  • ah, beautiful!

  • OMG I get to see him here in vancouver :D

  • but didnt he bring the disc out in 2008

  • Awsome video. I'm playing the same piece, at the deering estate in miami, fl. It's going to be awsome. I played this with him and it really helped me. Thanx for the post!!!

  • awesome stuff

  • the mirrors are great!

  • GOD....its like VIOLIN SEX

  • @newbie7765 ....and he's good lol!

  • WOW!!!!

    This is just AMAZING

I've been looking for this video for so long... THANK YOU FOR POST IT!!!

  • Joshua Bell is just AMAZING!

I doubt I'll ever be nearly as good as him on violin.... *sigh*

When and where was this concert?

  • 2008classical brit award in london albert hall

  • @firepaw129 if you dedicate your entire life to the art and im sure you would do well..maybe as well as Joshua.

  • That's the closest I'll get to seeing him in concert for a very, very long time. He's coming to my state next month, but the concert hall's in a bad area to drive in so my parents won't take me. T_T

  • la neta a mi no me gusto mucho

  • Thank-you so much for putting this up. He's in magnificent form here. He's very exciting.
