  • TODAY IS 2112,TURN IT UP!!

  • Green Day sucks

  • Even I can still sing this song on perfect pitch...why can't he? We're both close to the same age..only I'm a female. LOL! He sounds like puberty just hit him now and his voice goes from high to low and high again. I can still keep on every single note of his without his music even playing in the background. Jeeez! I should email him and ask if I can sing this at his next show instead of him or with him but I'll do all the high notes for him. *snickers*

  • What's up with the washing machines?

  • @F0Gizzle Geddy doesn't have a large amp setup like Alex does onstage, so for laughs and to add symmetry to the stage, they put the washers up there. In later tours, a row of chicken rotisserie ovens were placed up there among other things. Just for lulz man.

  • @F0Gizzle they use the power of their amps to do their laundry for them while they play. hahahaha!

  • Cant stop watching this it blows my mind that 3 guys can produce so much sound

  • Hahahaha ... Omg green day !!! How is green day even being discussed on a rush video !! Who the fuck is green day again !!!???

  • Why are there washing machines on the stage?

  • @jayphailey

.that's the quirky sense of humor that is ....RUSH(same with the rotisserie chickens later-lol)

  • Wow!! Didn't know this footage existed!! I was at this show....on the floor 6th row from the stage!! It was like going to church....a fucking religious experience!!

  • For a second, I thought Geddy Lee was wearing short shorts.

  • Rolling Scone and the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame can roast in hell

  • Geddy is wearing shades because looking at his bass slappin' hands from that close would be the equivalent of staring at the sun.

  • whats with the laundry machines?

  • @grizz999 if i recall geddy at one point plays them somehow !!

  • @grizz999 It's something to do with the fact that geddy lee doesn't use traditional amps and he decided to put something there to fill the space.

  • alltime best classic rock instrementle.

  • THATS VERY VERY COOL

  • Rush is one of the BEST bands I have ever seen in concert all 9 times and they put out the best sound at there shows. Rush never gets old and I would see them another 9 times if given the chance. Hex

  • Stinkin great. This is Rush at best.

  • who says us old farts cant rock todays kids could really learn someting from us old farts besides old rockrs never die they just rock on

  • 7 people can go suck one!

  • TETRIS SCORE 686440 para Aidor

  • Hey guys, need some advice. Going to the Crüe/Poison concert in Biloxi shortly. Have much better seats. I have a flip video, but not crazy about the zoom. I know they are not going to allow full blown cameras with recording capabilities. What do you recommend. Thanks.

  • Very good recording. Must have had full blown cam cordero. Much better than my 1st attempt @ recording with my iPhone from nosebleed seats...,lol. Of course band much younger and sounded better than @ New Orleans. Geddy had some trouble hitting those high notes. Still it's Rush. Great band!

  • WTF A Washing Machine.. Oh Yeah Its Rush Only They Would Get Away With That!

  • We wore the grooves of this one.

  • Simply the freaking best! A classic!

  • whats with the washing machines

  • @gratefuldank

For that unbeatable Westinghouse tone ;)

  • Nothing beats the energy of being at a RUSH concert.

  • This was the First Album (2112) I had heard from Rush, when in High School. At that moment became a lifelong fan. No other band has met their energy yet. Original, passionate and talent. My only question HERE is the 7 that clicked thumbs down....Retards????

  • AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET US FREE

  • 7 People prefer 1221

  • What's with the washin machines?

  • Neil: We all know you are awsome....do you have to cheapen your ability with stick twirling??

  • 6 people won't inherit the earth

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...just so much love and respect for this band. Raw, hard and yes, Geddy can still hit those high notes..All genius and masters at their craft, especially Peart with his whimsical lyrical genius on top of shredding the drums like no one else but Bonham. Amazing, they are still on top since the 70's without tabloid fodder, rehab or addiction! Thank you Canada and Take Off!!!! grrrrar!

  • k ass wipes ..true Geddy's voice going out ,yet no one can replace him and he can still sing better then you so STFU

  • Every person who doesn't like Rush always says it's because Geddy Lee sings weird. For all of those who think this, the fact is Geddy Lee's voice is one of a kind. Very few men or women can sing like him. Real Rush fans appreciate his great voice.

  • 0:00 <----- replay button =)

  • 6 people like cock

  • Why don't you Marry them then... Sheesh...

I'm a huge fan, but you either love em' or hate em'

    (stupid people hate em')

  • @ vendettatl agreed.

  • This is soo much fun playing on the last guitar. ^_^ Love Rush!

  • I was at this show. That was me Geddy looked at (1:58) up on the second level on Alex's side :)

  • MELTING FACES!

  • awevooo!!

  • Neil Peart is So Very Good!

  • @sidn13 rush is the bestout of canada andthe inspired so many people it would make your head spin from nine inch nails to smashing pumkins rush is the best progressive rock band in the world

  • @sidn13

    LOL U play Guitar Queer-O

  • 5:44

    luckiest washing machine ever

  • Alex=guitar god

  • Does anyone else realize their guitars are tuned 1 full step down or am I too geeky?... I guess this is to cope with Geddy's voice change over the years...

  • how the fuck is madonna in rock and role hall of fame and these guiys aren't..... i think there is something seriously wrong withsociety...

  • Three guys, and they make such awesome music!!!

  • did anyone else notice the laundry in the backround

  • @paulieosis43 Geddy's always got stuff like that to compensate for Alex's "Wall-o-Marshalls" :)

  • 4 people are heretics!

  • RUSH is light years beyond anyone else in the music industry. A three man group putting out this much sound and because of them being a trio, doing it so tightly and in sync. Alex and Neil are the very best of what they do as muscians and Geddy can still control a scream better than anyone. The Best active band in existence. Long Live Rush!

  • @Suzbandit1250 You are true about Rush. They are a truly rare gem!!

  • @Suzbandit1250

    Hallelujah!

  • @Suzbandit1250 I agree with Neil being the very best, but Alex is just average and Geddy as a vocalist is absolutely shite these days. He can't control his voice at all much less any screaming. If you wanna hear a singer who still sounds good and has been around as long or longer than Geddy Lee you have to look no further than Ian Gillan. That said as a band I don't think many were on the same level as Rush.

  • @Suzbandit1250 I've never been mad about Rush in the old days but I totally agree with your comments. And based on music performed over the past 30 years, they are far superior to most bands. I must get to watch them live!

  • @Suzbandit1250 His voice is shot or he just don't give a fuck. Listen to the original and compare it to this. If you can't do it, don't.

  • @Suzbandit1250 They opened for Blue Oyster Cult in 1975 in Columbus, GA. I never hear of them before that night and I said the same fucking thing you just said. They are one of the most awesome bands in the world!

  • @bwhiteacus lol Rush would never open for BOC,,,it might be the other way around

  • @windycityjeff Actually, Rush were on the way up at one time and they did open for BOC in 1976

  • @windycityjeff Rush did indeed open for BOC that tour. Saw the band talking about it on a documentary on VH1. THree hours of everything you did not know about Rush.

  • @Suzbandit1250 So true,RUSH FOREVER

  • RUSH is light years beyond anyone else in the music industry. A three man group putting out this much sound and because of them being a trio, doing it so tightly and in sync. Alex and Neil are the very best of what they do as muscians and Geddy can still control a scream better than anyone. The Best active band in existence. Long Live Rush!

  • The cream of the song, 3:00 start to 4:20 finish.

Wow, in the 80s they were my main listen. Great times.

    Thanks for the video!

  • Rush should be allowed to burn the hall of fame to the ground and pee-pee on the ashes if they so desire

  • I want a shirt that says: RUSH 4 EVR

I liked Temples Of The Syrinx

  • This was off of the album I 1st heard by them which made me an instant fan back when it 1st came out and it still more than holds up today. In fact, it's better than anything being put out these days. They went all out on this album.

  • God bless Geddy Lee for trying to hit his 70's pitch! :)

  • The best active band today. I still can't believe they're making music today. Viva la Rush!

  • Can't blame Geddy for trying to reach his 1970's voice.

  • Been a RUSH fan since hearing this song the first time back in 1979 and I will say it still rocks today as it did back then. Only question is, does anyone know whats up the washers on stage?

  • @SeldomSeenWolf .. Geddy Lee doesn't use the traditional amp/speaker thing, he plugs straight into the venue's sound system. To fill up space he's had stocked refrigerators, laundry machines, stocked vending machines, and chicken rotisseries on stage complete with chef attending them. When they are using the laundry machines they put rush tshirts in the dryers and throw them out to the crowd.

  • Rolling Stone is more concerned with Britney Spears' career, so if they were to recognize Rush as the great band they are, exactly what kind of company would they be keeping? Every musician who is worth a salt knows that there are no equivalents to Rush. That's all that matters.

  • @KNT0791 rush may be talented but there not better than green day

  • @kobe4270 Huh? Ok you have to be trolling. Laughable

  • @KNT0791 no im serious. lol look what green days doing. any other bands do what there doing?

  • @kobe4270 Shirley you can't be serious. Green day doesn't belong in the same sentence as Rush. End of discussion.

  • @KNT0791 rush is more talented. thats it

  • @kobe4270 ...Yeah they are more talented. How the heck is that supposed to prove that Green Day is somehow better in some universe? Green Day is about as obnoxious as Blink 182, if not more so.

  • @ggamer2004 tell me when your band wins grammy awards and has there own play

  • @kobe4270 Hey, you're the one who said RUSH was more talented. They absolutely are more talented in every aspect, be it composition, skill, timbre, whatever. Green Day's success stems from their original-yet-smarmy sound and their appeal to prepubescent teenagers.

  • @ggamer2004 i know rush is more talented. tell me when your band makes it to the top 100 artists of all time

  • @kobe4270 They are in the top 100 artists of all time, buddy.

  • @kobe4270 They are in the top 100, ahead of Green Day by around 20 places, according to vh1.

  • @kobe4270 tell me when YOUR band decides to stop being corporate whores, you dumbass

  • @romeokid69 least my singer hit puberty

  • @kobe4270 So, Geddy's voice is unique. Billie Jo Asshole's isn't. Try to make a point that holds validity cockmonger!!!

  • @romeokid69 tell me when they win more awards then green day

  • @kobe4270 (romeokid69 here under another name) Awards dont mean shit!!!! Tell me when Green Day returns to being the cool band they were.................in 1994 when they didn't give a shit. Rush is for the fans. They aren't corporate cocksuckers like Green Day. Now go jerk off to your Billie Jo posters and go troll somewhere else, loser!!!

  • @CaptainShinyJunk green day cares about there fans! he allows people on stage every concert and he gives away a guitar to a fan everytime. and green day is still cool. all because there new album isnt good. i think its pretty good. so suck it

  • @KNT0791 I'm not serious and don't call me shirley

  • Great song and video!!

  • For bootlegs out of the crowd, these are some good sounding clips.Esp.the drums.Nice and crunchy!

  • neil peart is a legend, way best drummer ov all time, well i think so, his kit is vast, and uses all ov it, fucking cool :)

  • I've seen Rush twice; back on the Counterparts tour, and recently on the Time Machine tour...BY FAR THE BEST BAND ON THE PLANET. The songs have meaning, they play from their heart and play their hearts out! What more could you ask of a band? They sure don't get the recognition they deserve, but then again I don't agree with most mainstream media anyway! So, if it is up to them, then F them, I'm sure true Rush fans will agree with me, THEY ARE THE BEST EVER!!!!!

  • They are the Best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok this is just awesome

Watched it like 10 times in a row now

  • Saw this in Atlanta 2010 - Best ever!!!!!! They are their own Hall of Fame!!!!

  • Saw this in Atlanta 2010 - Best ever!!!!!!

  • Rush will never go away into the dustbin of rock history. Rush is here to stay forever!

    They are THE REAL DEAL

  • Best band ever....

  • amazing...

  • @youtees Rush is far n above little markers set by recording executives they dont know tunes

  • Comment Removed by The Priests

  • By the way, Alex Lifeson is CLAWING that black Gibson Les Paul Custom like a LION claws it's mate during sex in the jungle!!! One hand strumming FURIOUSLY and CONTINUOUSLY and the second hand stomping up and down the fretboard like a GHOST on the stairs in a haunted house!!! :)

  • Are those washing machines I sees?!!!?!!?!

  • @0oz OF COURSE THOSE AREN'T washing machines! They are DRYERS. This video is from the the RUSH "Dry Your Tear Stains Tour" :)

  • @JEDIALADDIN

    OH LAWDY GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME

  • 2112 is actually my favorite Rush album.

  • Btw, the 3 people that voted thumbs down on this video must be lady gaga/britney spears fans. "I don't like a group that plays their instruments, doesn't have prerecorded singing tracks, doesn't have tons of makeup on or silly attention whoring costumes, or doesn't have a dance act". Thank god these guys are still around to show those who don't know any better what real TALENTED musicians look & sound like...

  • What I find hilarious is 2112 was the make/break album for these guys. Their record company wanted singles, short songs, etc or they would get dropped; RUSH went the opposite way. After 2112 hit big (by word of mouth; no airplay, no magazine articles), according to their new film biography, they no longer had to submit to notes from the record company. From then on, they recorded their music, it was mastered, packaged & sent out. No notes from record company suits. Hilarious...

  • RUSH FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Good song

  • WOW!

  • DAMN!

  • The best band PEROID!!!!

  • Sitting behind that mass of metal symbols and drums is THE MASTER

  • koolll the best band in the worlddd¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

    from colombia

  • uh and necromancer.. sorry... none of those are on caress :\ i stand by my point

  • RUsh 10/01/10 in Tampa....... I need 2 tickets

  • How the hell do you even remember all the parts of the song??...

  • We saw them in California.

    Search jmv9998 to see vid

  • wtf?

    laundry machines?

  • @lizardinhu: Thought the same thing...hilarious!

  • Rush deserve full credit for releasing so many amazing albums:Rushg, fly by night, caress of steel,2112,a farwell to kings...the list goes on.and the show was increwdibly shot as well:)

  • thank god!

  • Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage GREAT Movie ..Awesome Background On RUSH ! Who Saw It Tonight ??

    Peace And Happiness,

    [[[[ Wild Wizard ]]]]

  • Another fricken terrific capture!!!!

  • washing machines FTW!!!!!!!

  • this is DAMN GOOD!

    fricken AWESOME MULTICAM SHOOT!

  • long live young geddy's voice !

  • This is back when they ruled the world. Awesome song and looks like an awesome show. These guys are consumate musicians and composers. If they aren't hall of fame there must not be room for more than 5 bands.

  • not as much pelvic thrusting as in the 80's :P

  • The rush they must feel when they are on stage must be like when they were young being able to come back and still play this music as complicated as they made it to play. It must be a dream come true for them to do it at this age. cool!!

  • Why are they playing at the laundry?

  • Three incredible musicians!!!! Neil sits on the mountain for drummers. Geddy is one of the best bassist in rock and Alex can play guitar with the best!!!!

  • gotta love the laundry dryers.

  • @EverydayAdventures I read that Geddy quit using amps in favor of tapping into the venue's sound systems so he used the dryers to fill in the empty space behind him where his amps would have been. Geddy! You gotta love him!

  • Magnifique!!

  • RUSH ROCKS !!! \m/

XD you can see 3 clothes washers at 1:11

  • raw and energetic

  • Wow geddy and that bass solo sent chills up my spine.......man the best rush truly the best

  • one of the best bands live....and overall lol

  • The r and r hall of fame is a fucking joke and should be blown up

  • I have seen RUSH nine times. Who cares if they are int the rock and roll hall of fame? I don't. They are even way above that. RUSH hails from their own musical and lyrical universe and have been a huge part of my life. I don't expect them to be lumped in with other musicians, and that is fine by me.

  • @YouTees That is a disgusting and unacceptable omission. They pre-date all the rappers that were let in. Last time I saw Rush (R30) I sat stage left. I could have beaned Neil with a ping-pong ball, I was that close. The sound was crisp and perfect!

  • @YouTees

    They, RUSH, already have the

Order of Canada each. Yee haa!

    RRHoF sure.

  • Rolling Stone magazine commented that ."Rush fans are the Trekkies/Trekkers of rock." That suits me just fine. I have ALWAYS been a Trekkie anyway. That the American Rock & Roll Hall of Fame refuses to embrace the talent that is Rush, just sounds like sour grapes to me because NO ONE has ever been able to get them to sell out, run around doing interviews for attention or grovel at ANYONE'S feet for recognition. Does anyone know if there is an existing petition out about this travesty yet?

  • Sound quality is awful, be even despite that Peart's drumming is awesome.

  • Geddy said in an interview that Americans are the loudest audiances all the way through their concerts. This video attests to that, and as a proud American, I can live with his observation of us. We LOVE our rock and roll!!

  • @Satonica I bet that was before live in Rio. Those fans were INSANE. They make us look like a french revival concert at Buckingham palace.

  • @godbluffvdgg Aint that the truth!

  • this is why they call him the professor

  • Absolutely! Peart is a killer drummer!

  • he writes all the lyrics saw them in baltimore.dc,and pensecola love when they open with this

  • I love how Geddy is playing with the crowd during the "Hey!"s. How cool is that?

  • Gorgeous!

  • Geddy's doin his Laundry? WTF!

  • Even in shortened form, this is still great stuff. Everytime I hear this it takes me back to my school days....... :)

  • love the twist they put on it compared to the studio version.

  • Are those clothes dryers running on the stage?? Why?
