I loved it in the comic when he would make his army out of ice with sharp edges on the shoulders, elbows, etc. This movie didn't do many mutants justice. I love Storm, Iceman, and Phoenix was powerful in the movie, but she was not portrayed as stron as the comic......

I think xmen movies, other than wolverine and villains, didn't portray the other main characters that well. Like common, Storm getting butchered by callisto at Jean's house. That aint happening in comic, she is a omega level mutant just like Iceman. Iceman also had the power to change his body to Ice, water, and gas. He could also freeze every single molecule in a person's body...

To make wolverine and the villains stronger, they weakened all the other mutants.

technically pyro should have won considering that fire is 2x super effective against ice. one possibility why he didn't win is because he is meant to be a physical sweeper that apparently only knows special moves, and iceman just has amazing defense while holding a nevermeltice to not only lower his fire weakness, but also to boost his ice type moves along with thick fat ability. thumbs up if you know what I'm talking about

I don't know if you're familiar with the comics or not, but seeing Pyro as a fledgling villain was expected. His betrayal was therefor inevitable and very unsurprising.

Pyro can't create his own fire, while Iceman can. It's a very important factor and that's why Iceman is considered "level 5".

Pyro could put fire all over himself but it'd be dangerous. Iceman can control the cold and just survive in extreme levels of it. Pyro can just control fire. When he shoots it, he can stop it from burning him, but having it all over him would waste thinking power on not getting burned.

God I hope they decide to make another movie... one that really explores Pyro is what I'd like to see. His character is fascinating, & so is his talent. Bobby's fine & dandy, don't get me wrong - I know how badass the Iceman is. But ever since that scene where Pyro goes bazonkers in response to his mentor being shot in the head, & I've just really identified with, appreciated, & supported him. Going into cahoots with Magneto was a great decision for him - they solve problems similarly.

This fight was underwleming.

And for those who say 'Pyro was nothing more' your totally wrong, he could manipulate and control any flame he wanted, and make his flame a solid state. His power was so great that he could create fire forms to pick up solid objects. Iceman was also underused. They could have really exploited these guys abilities, eg/ Iceman gliding in on his iconic Ice slide, whilst Pyro was on the floor, sending up Fire Bird/Dragons to knock him off.

iceman in the comics never became omega level until he hit his thirties or so when he began showing higher levels of control and more evolved abilities with his ice.

And you may've noticed Pyro was lighting a bunch of cars on fire. Plus all the other mutants in the area who's powers are heat based. Now I think what we saw in this fight was Bobby's powers evolving, and they could evolve further at some point to what could be considered an Omega, but not yet.
