I got a problem with this game, the windows that appear when you do right clic have the words a little bit moved up and I can't see them, looks like they are misplaced. a example , when you clic on the trees, the description of the trees appears behind the brown background of the window. I have a spanish version of the game with the latest patch installed, I don't know if that makes a difference?

I play this game since i was around 9 years old, and now i'm 18. I love it, wouldn't trade it for world of warcraft, or any other game. It's brainstorming, a good way of learning new things, an extrardinary game for those who adore egypt or who want to find a new hobby.

Emperor is the Chinese civilization and very simular to Pharao, both very nice games!. I nearly finished Pharao when the computer made a final crash.

Assuming you have cleopatra, it's under the campaign. It's accessible via Choose missions -> individual missions. It's not a custom map.

Age of Empires isn't a City Builder, its more a Strategy game based on war. I'd consider City Builders to be more a focus on building the civilization, with the possibility of war on the side. AOE is war, war, war. but yeah AOE is an amazing game :):)

You can raise prosperity by selling goods to other cities and getting your citizens to pay taxes.

you can do this by making a profit - which means taxes, selling more than buying (exports over imports), and also by making the buildings wealthier- prosperity usually stops rising after a levels for houses - so unless you upgrade them, prosperity can either stay or decrease.

Open the trade route, make sure you have warehouses and docks with good another city wants to buy, go to the ministry of trade and estimate how make (above whaty level) you want to sell goods. The game will do the rest for itself.

Ehm one question, in the game. if you could reply, it would be awesome, here is the question: When i try to make weapons or warships etc. i need wood, and copper and other stuff and i have them in my storage place but it doesnt go to the shipwright or to the weaponsmith.and i want it to go to those places is there something im doing wrong? please reply thanks :D p.s. i get the copper and wood by importing!

hm... you have to make sure that they have laborers, if not try building some houses near them. One problem could be that ur importing too few goods and it goes to other buildings in need of them. and try to build a storage yard near the desired builings and chose for an example wood, get maximum then IF ur city have enough workers, delivery men will soon be filling it up.

The game is so great. I had a super mega city that I built in a custom game but it was deleated when my pc crashed on me at one time. I dont think I have the time to build a city that large again =(

"Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom" is by far the best Impression Games RTS.

Its a combo of Pharaoh, Zeus, and expensions, to create a final master piece.

I really did not like Ceasar IV....

this game requires soo much experience in order to build estates easily. I am having my 9-10 years on playing this game, but sometimes I get into trouble to build estates. I still couldn't finish this game because it makes me bored, but this time I'm sure I'm gonna finish it. I don't wanna reinstall the game and replay the beginning missions :D

It's all about strategy and a certain amount of experience. There are certain techniques that will allow you to build estates every single time. Like the flexi-block.

When I play custom or normal, non-mission games on Cleopatra expansion, I cant seem to build anything associated with Cleopatra's new stuff.

For example, I have bunch of hana or other nwe features but no trading countries need them, houses dont need them, and I dont need them.

No, Impressions, makers of Pharaoh, Zeus, Caesar I-III, and Emperor closed, however, a lot of the guys from impressions formed Tilted Mill, which has already produced Children of The Nile, a full 3D city builder in ancient Egypt, Caesar IV as well as the latest Simcity game.
