I don't know if this is where I post my stereotype but... I respect all countries and their beliefs.
Is it true that women don't matter much in Arabia? I have a friend and she is going to Arabia in a few months. Her dad is Arab, can she take decisions of her own or...
I am an Arab Lebanese, and yes women do matter like any other women in the world! And I think this is reflected by this video... I think the media has badly portrayed the Arabic world and women even worse!! It's true that we have different traditions and I strongly believe this difference in traditions make people think that women do not matter! Women in the Arab world choose to cover their hair, it's THEIR choice, and trust me when I say that women with veil should not be regarded as less equal
This case has been centre of attention in Middle East for the past few decades.
In 0:50 her Majesty refers to a process being in place to resolve the issue but they have all failed. Nobody seems to care whos responsible for the failure of it anyhow, so why BOTHER!!!!
Furthermore, media is ONLY broadcasting what they want the nation to accept as the truth BUT the reality will be hidden behind the scene.
Hello Dear Quen I wanna tell you're the best I so happy today when I hear about you, I live in costa rica and if you want contact me is a pleasure, Elizabeth
there are thousands of poor children in arab countries, specially in your country that need help, then why you go to African countries to help the kids there? Is it only to impress the wester masters and media? You are queen of a great sultanate. Don't let your people down.
Israelites bibilically speaking didn't kill all foreigners in the land of Israel. e.g., Gideonites, Ebed-melech (Ethiopian) Gibeonites & allies, Naamah, O′bil (Ish′maelite), Rehab the Canaanite, Ruth the (Moabite), Uriah (Hittite.) As well as, the leper foreign Naaman was cured of his lathsome disease. King Hiram helped Solomon, and another Hiram a foreigner was one of the artisans for the Gods temple in Jerusalem. Moses wife and in-laws were of Israelite stock. _Lev 19:18b.
@3333sweetie sorry but everyone has the right to dress according to their choice she might be helping people but that doesn't mean that she can't spend money on her ownself n her family. We are not helping anyone yet we do live a life of luxury even we wear expensive clothes if not too expensive we spend all of our money on our needs and on family and don't do anything to help others atleast she is doing something. One must do their duty and not waste their time in finding faults in others.
Sheikha Moza , Queen Rania, two model roles of this century. They will live in the hearts of arab world for many more years. why dont take their mission towards countries like Sri lanka. We need your advices as well. A new generation in the making. God bless.
I respect Queen Rania a great deal- I think she's a wonderful role model for women everywhere-not just in the Middle East. Not only is she beautiful, but she has a beautiful mind. So much for the stereotypical quiet, basically brain-dead, can't-think-for-herself Arab/Muslim woman. Bravo!!!
she's 38 years old. she has a good voice and is trying to clear the corruption that Bush and his yes men have created through media etc on Islam. Islam and Muslims are two different things. there are good and bad all of people.
this is wonderful stuff Queen Rania should be respected and honoured for her work in giving outsiders like me an insight into a culture that we need to understand
culture and Islam are two different things. unfortunately due to lack of insight grows ignorance and with ignorance one is easily mislead into fiction instead of matter of fact. It happened to the Jews (God bless them) and now it's happening to us. We are labelled and painted with the same brush in harsh terms.
At the moment, because of things that have happened in the past decade, what's happening in other foreign nations ARE our problems whether we like it or not.
Besides, helping other nations find peace not only strengthens our bonds with those nations, but also gives better protection to the USA because those nations will be willing to help us should we fall under attack, not to mention those nations would more than likely not attack us themselves.

Wolf Blitzer ( The Jew ) was talkin like the muslim world dont want their children to get education. Like if they are abusive parents! They just want to give the wrong image of muslims to the west.
Queen Rania and her family, like other muslim countrys that is ruled by familis are a big problem to gettin democracy in our countrys. They live like billionaires on the peoples tax money. SHAME ON YOU! POWER TO THE PEOPLE! But as a person i like Queen Rania, shes a smart muslim woman.

Faith is the confident belief in the truth of or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. It is also used for a belief, without proof.Informal usage of the word "faith" can be quite broad, and may be used standardly in place of "trust", "belief", or "hope"

Well said. Wolf Blitzer came off as being biased but your responses were fantastic. I love how you emphasized that it cannot be generalized. It's true, things vary within one country so imagine within the entire arab world!
I just moved to the UK and when I say i'm from Jordan people praise you. You are a true role model, eloquent, smart, driven and inspirational for your motivation in changing misconceptions. I look forward to see what comes next :)

I am an Arabic Muslim girl ,I'm highly educated ,always respected by my family and other people in my country ,I have all the rights in taking decisions concerning me ,in addition the government and my family are at all times encouraging me and all the girls in the Arab world to be the leader and pioneers in our courtiers and societies to create a better future and be successful

Queen Rania is Muslim, through media ignorance, I think many people in the US or UK could be forgiven for thinking she couldn't possibly be. A fantastic role model for all young women and clearly of great intelligence; very inspirational and also the best spokesperson the Middle East has.
Does anyone realize that a Jewish Man Created(Ted Turner) CNN? and it CNN, is giving a voice to Jordan via its wonderful Queen Rania. Jordanian people should be very proud to have such a caring and well spoken representative. Your Queens' beauty catches ones eye, but it is her mind that sets her apart, and is what makes her an effective leader. Congratulations on your good fortune. Be kind and you will get kindness in return. Act with hate and you will get hate in return. Peace be with you.
I'm happy that Jordania has a queen like you. One of my friends met you and had the chance to talk with you and he told me you and your husband are great persons.
I didin't like how the guy ended the conversation with Queen Rania. He said "good luck" as opposed to "thank you for your time your highness" or something like that. any way thank you your majesty for your amazing responses. Me siento muy orgullosa de ser parte de su cultura y religion.
one of my impressions of this was nothing more than theocrats, and ridiculous end timers called forth for their God's biddings. I mean if you diligently follow the Bible from the time the Lord commanded Joshua like he does in Deuteronomy go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore to give to your fathers. to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob... and to their descendants after them. Isreal decended from Jacob and the thing is, their looking at the issue biblically. and will so till the end
Who are you to say "you should look more like muslima"?? You think you are more muslim now by saying this nonsense???? I am ashamed to be Arab sometimes when I hear and read people like you. Seriously u want her to wear the Afghani ninja IMPOSED Female suits.. No thx I think we as Arabs should be proud and gratfull that we have someone as Queen Rania giving to the world a good image about us. I cant say the same for you..
You're ashamed to be arab when people say stupid things but just out of curiousity, what kind of arab are you? Cuase if you were muslim then I think you would understand more clearly what Fazeefaz was trying to say about MUSLIMS women but Queen Rania is NOT muslim! But I'm just saying, if you are a MUSLIM ARAB then you would understand.
I'm a muslim and I think it's pretty stupid for someone to say 'she should look more muslim' I'm also american and when people tell me I don't look american, I ask them, what do americans look like anyway? Muslims come in all different shapes, colors, sizes...etc.....just because she isn't wearing a head scarf? It's a CHOICE, not an obligation to wear one....
To think that we (men) respect her less as a person due to her choice of clothing is an insult to us and anyone a little more civilized than an animal. If some muslim men dont agree, than maybe its time for them to reevaluate their behavior and morality rather than being hostile to women who disagree. No disrespect intended, it just sickens me to see how some Muslim women are being treated, even in Europe (denial of sports activities, denial of freedom to walk unaccompanied, etc etc).
really????? it was down to her knees when she sat! its the 21st century... lets get with the times people. shes a strong and independent modern woman.
technically, middle easterners are considered as Caucasian, aka white. the only reason why many middle easterners dont look white is because of the environment. people had changed because of the living environment.
This is the kind of leader we should have especially in the 21st century. Lots of politicians are only good in making false promises. But Queen Rania really does Walk the walk and talk the talk.
FGM isn't a relgious practice, a cultural one, and also Jews practiced it, so what's your point? Many things go on in the US that are against the law, it's against the law in Jordan.......
Her Majesty is such a great, well-spoken, educated voice in the world. She does great work, and is a true peerless leader on the front for real world peace. Schukran Queen Rania!
So, what is the End Game? The elimination of Israel?
The Arab 2002 solution is the END of Israel with a massive influx of Palestinian into Israel, and a "fee" paid to other "refugees" that don't.
How about the END of the Queen/King rule in Jordan & renaming it Palestine as in ancient times?
The Arabs have NOT allowed the Palestinians to blend into the local Arab countries and FORCED them to be refugees and used as Pawns against Israel the last 60 years.
We are living with the Palestinians soul by soul and door by door! Have been with them through their good moments and hard moments!
And what about the renaming issue?? Each country has its own identity Man,but u know whats common between Jordan and Palestine?? we share the same love and the same passion for life..so we are one Sir!
May I know your opinion -logical opinion- about how peace can be acted in Palestine?
Peace is only possible if people continue to believe and work towards it. Otherwise, we are all lost. Good for you, Queen Rania, for believing in and working towards peace!
I wonder how strong the combination of the Jordanian royal family and the Obama administration are. I mean, they have influence, but can they really beat religious extremism?
This core problem of the missing peace in the Middle East, in my opinion, has become the biggest problem in the World. It shatters peace everywhere, and smears the reputation of three related religions.
I think if the mothers of both the Palestinians and the Israelis were to tell their children to give up their weapons and march side by side then and only then will there be peace. Thank you Queen Rania.

Solving the foreign problems is for the benefit of America.
For example the issues of global instability that is a factor for terror to develop.
The rise of Chinese power.
And other foreign issues.
Countries are not living on different planets, and they are not isolated from each other. Each affects the other.
For example the American Economic crisis, has affected every individual in the whole world.
Also America depends on oil, and the various products it imports from China.

Me siento muy orgullosa de ser parte de su cultura y religion.

and they definitely need more scientific education and progress. i mean to take literal interpretations of holy books just impedes humanity.

one of my impressions of this was nothing more than theocrats, and ridiculous end timers called forth for their God's biddings.

She look too western. Queen of Jordan u should look more like Muslima then western women. I'm not trying to offend you. Asalamualaykum
Fazeefaz 2 years ago
Who are you to say "you should look more like muslima"?? You think you are more muslim now by saying this nonsense???? I am ashamed to be Arab sometimes when I hear and read people like you. Seriously u want her to wear the Afghani ninja IMPOSED Female suits.. No thx I think we as Arabs should be proud and gratfull that we have someone as Queen Rania giving to the world a good image about us. I cant say the same for you..
BL4ck0S 2 years ago 17
You're ashamed to be arab when people say stupid things but just out of curiousity, what kind of arab are you? Cuase if you were muslim then I think you would understand more clearly what Fazeefaz was trying to say about MUSLIMS women but Queen Rania is NOT muslim! But I'm just saying, if you are a MUSLIM ARAB then you would understand.
AnaHilwa21 2 years ago

the hell are you saying..she's the queen of a muslim nation, ofcourse she's muslim.
kzam90 2 years ago
I'm a muslim and I think it's pretty stupid for someone to say 'she should look more muslim' I'm also american and when people tell me I don't look american, I ask them, what do americans look like anyway? Muslims come in all different shapes, colors, sizes...etc.....just because she isn't wearing a head scarf? It's a CHOICE, not an obligation to wear one....
ykw68 2 years ago 27
Maybe that is true, but what's with the short skirt. Come on..
JuanRefan 2 years ago
To think that we (men) respect her less as a person due to her choice of clothing is an insult to us and anyone a little more civilized than an animal. If some muslim men dont agree, than maybe its time for them to reevaluate their behavior and morality rather than being hostile to women who disagree. No disrespect intended, it just sickens me to see how some Muslim women are being treated, even in Europe (denial of sports activities, denial of freedom to walk unaccompanied, etc etc).

technically, middle easterners are considered as Caucasian, aka white. the only reason why many middle easterners dont look white is because of the environment. people had changed because of the living environment.

Peace for Peace....NO LAND concessions
kauaikit 2 years ago
What the hell r u talkin about?
No common sense at all!

What i don't understand is why you and many guys are saying this about Wolf.
Guys, he is a reporter, he is doing his job, he is asking questions that the western would need to have explained.
He was asking questions, not giving his opinion.
The thing is, when you reply to those questions you turn that to your benefits by making those important issues clear.
I'm not defending Wolf, I'm just talking logic.
I won't hide that the questions he asked are sensitive though.
