This movie suprised me so much! After the 2004 version dissapointed me (except that fight with the russian that was pretty sweet!) I really didn't have high hopes for this one, but now that ive seen it i gotta say its very good! its not afraid to be brutal or merciless unlike the former one. It also has some pretty cool bad guys and Ray Stevenson really pulls of a badass Frank Castle.

I loved this film. Ray Stevenson is the Punisher. I am curious about one thing; Why does he use a silenced M4 at the climatic action sequence at the Bradstreet Hotel? I mean, he jumps through the window and starts shooting everything, tossing grenades, and shooting his non silenced pistols, so stealth is definitely out of the scenario, so why silence the M4? Oh Well, great action movie.

I saw this film in the cinema, and I almost PISSED myself.

The cast are clearly playing it for laughs. The dialogue is unconscious comic genius. And the scene where he takes out a rastafarian baddie with an RPG (a rastafarian with an Irish accent) is one of the funniest scenes in cinematic history.

Watch this film folks, but treat it as a comedy and you are in for a treat :)

At first, I loved this as Castle faced the consequences of his actions when he accidentally killed an undercover cop. However, it wasn't long before he was again killing criminals in the most ghastly ways imaginable. About halfway through, I just cut it off. I want to like the Punisher as an antihero taken to the logical extreme but, to me, he's just a mindless thug having hardcore pissing contests with the criminal underworld. There's not much character development in that.

HA! that's exactly what i thought! now it feels like a cheesy 80's/mid 90's action movie. not that it's all the steven segal look alike's fault. everything about it screams violence with little story. and all the bright colors make it feel like a late batman movie from the 90's. i think fans will be very disappointed.
