  • just came here to see [ahem] hear what Erna didn't want on the IV album, I can't but imagine this song atop the billboard charts with Sully's vocal endorsement, Crane's throat just doesn't do this song justice it's not unique enough

  • This song is AWESOME!!!

THIS BAND DESERVES WAY BETTER RECOGNITION!!!

  • this is what rock should sound like. great song

  • i know the lead singer and drummer of this band!

  • @EM6TEENVEVO Ugly Kid Joe and Godsmack

  • @92Roquemore I know what your saying however, the way you wrote your first comment could be interrupted by others that Godsmack and or a member of Godsmack wrote this song when that is completely false. I'm just making the point of (give credit where credit is due) and the credit for AA's biggest hit came in the way of Lee Richards personal issues.

  • Heard this at Beech Grove bowling alley... it was on the jukebox

  • The 2nd fave song off their album released this year. Can't wait to see what their next album does. Every song on this one is killer awesome.

  • @gmj2012 Um...this album was released in 2007.

  • i feel sorry for the people that made these dislikes

  • Good music but I think it would sound so much better with Sully Erna's vocals. Seeing as how all the songs from Another Animal were taken from the writing sessions of IV it is obvious that they were meant for his voice and I think it is sad that these were not recorded as part of Godsmack...

  • @92Roquemore Actually, Erna nor any member of Godsmack wrote this song neither did Crane for that matter as "Broken" was penned by a man of the name Lee Richards, whom was Godsmacks original guitarist long before Tony Rambola ever came into the picture. Richards left Godsmack for personal reason but later landed with Dropbox however, the band broke up and "Broken" is a result of what he was feeling when Dropbox gave up. Also he wrote this song while he was with Godsmack on "The Other Side" tour.

  • @Evilshorns13 Check your facts again. First of all I'm not talking about 1 song here, I'm talking about the whole album. The band members have been quoted in interviews stating very clearly that they were luck to have so much material from the IV writing sessions left over and not recorded. They used these written tracks as bases for the songs from Another Animal. I'm not saying that it is a bad song, just that it would have been better if Godsmack had used it in their albums.

  • only just discovered this band - massive fan of this sound! whitfield crane has always been one of my fav singers, and this rocks.

  • Like the song but I don't really care for the singer. Maybe he will grow on me.

  • I think about 25,000 of the 70,000+ views are from me!!!

  • 4 people's lives have the emptiness

  • THis song is written by Lee Richards

  • hard to believe this is the singer from ugly kid joe, great song.

Ugly Kid Joe I liked to

  • @scotty2scoops. This is John Kosco singing. he comes from the band Dropbox. Lead singer of Ugly kid joe is Crane whitfield... Shannon Larkin is in Ugly kid joe though. Larkin is also in the best band in the world. GODSMACK :D

  • @shorty95teddy do your homework bud this is Crane Whitfield from ugly kid joe I've seen them live, do your research before you comment and look like a dumbass

  • @scotty2scoops Shit, you're right. Thats my mistake. Sorry :(

  • This song is amazing. : )

  • Personally hearing some Alice in Chains, and Puddle of Mudd in it. Love this song! Highly recommend it!

  • this band reminds me of alice in chains and godsmack

  • @gamergirlGANGSTA Well the band does use Shannon Larkin, Robbie Merrill, and Tony Rombola from Godsmack....but I'm thinking you knew that! :-)

  • Godsmack and Dropbox made a marvell with this. Great song

  • i have never heard this song until the other day when a AM radio sports used it to come back from a break. i immediately caled the station to ask who it was. i thought to myself i couldnt remember when AIC did this song. AIC influence???,...shit i thought it WAS AIC or AIC with another singer.

  • " Neil Young and Alice in Chains influence " ........ Sounds like good influence. Also I hear a bit of a Velvet Revolver ' ish sound.........and I dig it !!

  • great song.. powerful voice, sick guitar, lots of emotion. in a way reminiscent of AIC.. plz dont mention gosmack in a video this good. godsmack fucking sucks they have the same riff in every damn song & all they talk about is getting wasted & banging chicks.. fucken retarded.

  • @XxZakKeelingXx Your such a retard your getting them mixed up with NickelBack.

  • @XxZakKeelingXx Yeah, Godsmack doesn't do that. Not to mention that uh yeah 3/5 of the band members are in Godsmack. Another one of them having been in Godsmack before. You're a complete moron.

  • @XxZakKeelingXx you, sir, are an ass. the only song they talk about "getting wasted" is in Whisky Hangover, there isn't ONE song that talks about "banging chicks", and they are surprisingly eclectic in what they produce. Sully, Robbie, Tony and Shannon are all excelent musicians, extremely versatile and all multi-instrumentalists, in case you haven't noticed.

so, beware of what you say about bands that you don't EVEN dream to know. if you don't know their work, don't say they "fucking suck".

  • Just heard this on octane... It's great!!!

  • Damn, this is deep like the BEST ( not the corporate release choices which were good, but more like CUST, Tomorrows World & 10 outta 10)UKJ stuff. You can feel the old gel of Larkin and Whit. excuse me while i head to amazon...

  • OTTDAM THIS SONGS CUTS

  • the 3 people who disliked it are either black or hispanic and have some kind of disorder

  • @ajkgkia4 Because the color of your skin determines your taste in music.....

  • fucking great the vocal parts are like alice in chains

  • heard it on octane this morning, what a great way to wake up!!! heeeels yeah!

  • Great Song, Couldve Had Better Quality Buts Its Still A Sick Song (;

  • @azpyow1 No I think it's just your computer, it sounds fine on mine.

  • Damn good song

  • tony rambola ladies and gents..

    kick ass guitar player

  • sounds so 90's

  • such an underrated band

  • this band is like dropbox... both are amazing bands but neither of them are well known

  • This shit needs a million views. This band is just all around badass/emotional/relatable and awesome!

  • Such a badass song for being so little known!!!

  • this is a good song

  • man that just deprissing the sun will exstinguish all life on the earth and we won't even know our dumbed future that is if human don't kill themselves off first.

  • There's my dreams

Bloody, dying, face down to the floor

    I can't relieve the emptiness

Struggle all alone to fight my war <3 good lyrics <3 i hope to hear more of them in the future...and joeyrufo...ur right i hear the alice in chains/niel young influence!

  • sick artist

  • i imagine sully singing this

  • Funny how music can be referenced by life.

  • This song reminds me of Alice In Chains (Them Bones specifically).

  • really cool song.brings back memories :)

  • whs the singer of "ANOTHER ANIMAL" ? btw: Godsmack rules

  • @XxDomiiixX

he was the lead singer of ugly kid joe. dare i ask if you know who they are?

    song is sick

  • @XxDomiiixX okay thanks, wasnt also Shannon Larkin the Drummer of Ugly Kid Joe? \w/

  • @XxDomiiixX

Yep, before his gig with Godsmack Shannon drummed with Ugly Kid Joe. Thus, when Shannon is making a side project, he taps his ex-singer.

  • Damnnn I found you Mother fucker Ulgy Kid Joe I`m feel great Man, and look this band man, its a great band damn medias, its great see you again Croket, From Buenos Aires Argentina i hear you again man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Another Animal doesn't seem that popular, and if you ask me, I truly do not understand why. They are a perfectly good band with great songs and were aired for a reason. Thumbs up if you agree :D

  • @ILuvSpyroandCynder i get what you are saying and i agree, but the reason they probably aren't popular is because its rock for one thing isn't the most popular genre right now, and this isn't the type of rock that a lot of people who do listen to rock like...its more different, rather than just being another version of nickelback. this is unfortunate, but true

  • Godsmack already remembered me AIC but this is so AIC. Also sounds like Second Coming (wich is another AIC-like band).

Oh,yeah, and Whitfield does a great job!

  • if that aint cosco i dont know shit

  • @houbo11 Then u don't know shit, it's Whitfield Crane.

  • rockin tune !!

  • I like this project better the godwack

  • w00t! 117 likes!

  • Really like this tune... but the rest of album stinks in my opinion.

  • @ekko230 If you like this tune you should check out Ugly Kid Joe "Motel California"

  • This is the guy from Ugly Kid Joe? He sounds a lot like Scott Weiland to me :)

  • @shellecat89

Yeah. Whitfield Crane joined after the original singer suffered writers block. Wikipedia has some info on it if you're interested. :)

  • @matthewberry77 learn your facts cuz im a diehard about music. Sully Erna from Godsmack had encountered writers block and Tony Rombola, Shannon Larkin, and Robbie Merrill went of and STARTED the band with Whitfield Crane, Soon to be joined by Godsmacks original guitarist Lee Richards

  • I so wrote a song exactly like this one!!! And Ive never heard this song before yesterday!

  • This song makes me want too punch my boss !:>

  • wow...been searching for new bands that dont suck (fucking hard to find one)....this would be that one....i like it..its like AIC

  • Awesome song!I think everybody whom has a bad day can relate too this song!

  • The more I stumble the more I fade away.........

  • Nice song indeed.

  • i love this song

  • Witfield crane is one of he best rock vocals ever....fuckin' great!!!!!!!

  • another great (and some how overlooked) band that has a HEAVY Neil Young and AIC influences alongwith a twist of Kurt Cobain is the........... Future Leaders of the World.doing their son........Let Me Out................ If you haven't yet.....check 'em out.

  • awesome!

  • bad ass song thanks for putting it up

  • godsmack + UKJ = one fucking great side project

  • godsmack + UKJ = a pretty good fucking side project

  • Please understand that Another Animal was a "project" not a "band" per say. All the respective members of this project are in a band and simply got together during some off time and made what many of uf us consider good music

  • Hellyeah isn't a band either, just a colaboration, it's music............... and this song just adds to my list of favorites

  • soooo crazy did NOT realize this was Whitefield at first, sounds different from his earlier days but i like it!

  • GODSMACK 'Cryin' Like A Bitch'

    GODSMACK

'THE ORACLE' release date: May 4th 2010

  • can't wait.

  • The best band that nobody has heard of hardly. We all need to fix that. These guys rule!!

  • i agree, these guys comming out with anything new anytytime soon?

  • @Evilseckz Octane plays them. Its good too hear bands that no one has ever heard of, on 1 station. I love it!

  • I swear,if you listen to this song enough it starts sounding like hes saying "You can't rape me" Lol... Good song though.

  • joeyrufo: agree on the alice influence

  • im sorry, but Whitfield and Shannon just aren't the same without the rest of ugly kid joe

  • No shit, Sherlock?

  • I see that as a GOOD thing. Don't get me wrong, I loved UKJ back in the day - but this is up to date, heart felt rock goodness with oodles of soul and passion.

  • I don't really think that Another Animal and Godsmack should be compared too much. They're obviously very different bands that happen to have shared Robbie, Lee, and Shannon.

  • heard it for the first time, kicks ass

  • totally sick tune

  • please tell me you can all hear the Neil Young and Alice in Chains influence...

  • @joeyrufo alice in chains...for sure man.....defenate influence

  • @joeyrufo that was my first thought-particularly AIC.

  • @joeyrufo Layne Staley :(

  • @Phunxk yes it was sad day when i heard he had passed. i remember exactly where i was. i was on I-10 on my way back home to houston. i spent the weekend in florida where i just won the florida championships in a foosball tournament. i just had the best tournament of my life but when i heard the news it put a damper on things. he had such a distinctive voice that didnt sound like every other band. he was a great singer.

  • @Megablast9 ah too bad man, i was like 11 when Layne died. Alice in Chains really helps me through bad times, bet their own music helped a lot of people get over the death of Layne... And with Duvall Alice In Chains has once again a great throat, but you can't beat Layne... Like their new stuff too though, but it's not that emotionally loaded as former songs. Black Gives Way To Blue does that though, and ironically, it's about Layne

  • @joeyrufo Everyone should be able to hear the AIC and Neil young influence. Its crazy how much influence AIC must have had on this song.

  • @joeyrufo yeah and maybe little bit of stained

  • @joeyrufo I can hear AiC just fine, but no Young.

  • @afhevh no? maybe "Don't Let it Bring You Down"?

  • haha, good point, murm17....

  • shannon larkin in godsmack > another animal

BUT another animal is still good just can't compare to the old godsmack

  • i would agree, but, another animal is great....cant wait for the next godsmack to release a new album, and this song kicksass!!!!

  • Sick song.

  • just heard it on the radio now i luv it

  • uhhh how old are you lke 5? it only came out like 2 years ago

  • @themurm17 it dosent mean thy werent influenced by them how old are u?

  • fun as hell on the drums

  • this is cool... just hope it doesn't make godsmack go away, which is what i understand WONT happen..

  • oooh it sure as hell didnt lol

  • It won't. Both are different enough and diverse enough to exist as separate entities, and the guys all seem to have the commitment needed to keep it working.

  • The chorus is hell on the vocal chords with the drawn out grinding on the word "broken".

Not many can pull that off and sing another song right after it.

  • this song kicks srs ass

  • Comment removed

  • yea ok lol first of all ur name does not mean your hardcore and 2nd! maybe many other bands just sound like this one asshole!

  • dropsmack

  • No offense but this sounds a little like Puddle of Mudd.

  • it does in a way

  • im glad everyone liked it :]

  • i actually don't like it.

    I love it! ;)

  • i do like it... i just wish i had heard of this sooner...like them as a band...cause i listen to godsmack alot i should have heard of them

  • @PullusPardus Not anymore :/ Though I like it

  • Alice In chains certainly didn't live in vain...

  • Indeed.

  • THIS SONG KICKS MY ASS MAN!!!!!!!!!!

  • Whitfield Crane + Godsmack = 3 thumbs up!!!

    This album fucking kicks ass!!!!!!!!

  • ukj

  • the best song on this album i think

its the first i heard ... beatiful

  • Just Wanna Blow My speakers Out By Turning This Shit Very Loud!!!! Kicks Fu**ing Ass!!!!!!!!!

  • Hell yeah, great vocals!

  • me too, but i have 5 noise complaints already at my apartment :(

  • then take on headsets

  • I wear them sometimes when I really want to crank the music.
