@joeblowthehot Conrad Veidt was thought of at one point for the role of Dracula. He would have been better than Lugosi. Conrad was the guy who inspired The Joker for crying out loud. He deserves to be more famous.
Now this is German cinema. The first segment is starting out very strong! Nice shots of Luna park...wish there were more footage devoted to that long ago place. Luna Park had a long and checkered history.
Its so funny..i play chess.....and ive played quite a few....why is it sometimes ...LOL!!!...the loser likes to tear up the chess board and everything in there path???!!!
LOL!!!! After Losing..!
If i were them..i would just be going back in for another round...instead of getting arrested by the police..!!! LOL!!!!
I like the non-tinted versions of german silent cinema better - but this only my very personal opinion. Great movie though, have a super 8 copy of it! Thanks for posting!!!
Crack: I think that honor belongs to "Destiny" ( or Tired Death in Germany), by Lang which came out slightly before? & Used a similar triple-story frame.
I heard that Conrad was one of the BEST female impersonators at that time in Germany..pretty cool eh!!
