  • Your hair is gorgeous. It turned out great too. I tried something similar just a few minutes ago and now I'm sitting here with a big lopsided ball of frizzy mess on the top of my head. At least it feels soft.

  • @dummeeule LOL. So funny ;o) Now you know what techniques will give you a ball of frizzy mess ;o) Trust me. I've had ball of frizzy mess days Hahaha. Just watch what you do, and try to figure what step you would do differently to get stretched results without the frizz. I'm STILL working on my dag blasted roller set LOL. Thanks for the message Love.

  • oh mee gosh, my hair twin. finally!! after trolling youtube for years.

  • @AyenAyaa What's up hair twin! ;o)

  • i think your hair is gorgeous! just gorgeous!

  • @NouveauAuNaturel Thanks beautiful ;o)

  • Your hair is wonderful before and after, I don't believe my hair will hold a stretch for longer than 12 hours, because it is so porous to moisture. I think the hair has to be able to hold moisture to remain stretched for more than 2 days. Once my hair is dry, shoulder length hair will shrink to above ear length hair and whatever pattern it had on the twist out is completely gone. My hair type is the 4b/4c kinky zig zag, super thick category. Do you have any suggestions?

  • @MilliePat You bring up a great point. Porosity has a lot to do with things too (just as much as curl pattern, I think). When I wear a stretched texture, I mist it with water nightly. It doesn't revert b/c I use butters/pomades/thick moisturizers and oils. It would take more than a mist to penetrate those products. My stretch stays if I re-twist nightly after I moisturize. Yes, once dry it will pull up. You r right, u gotta re-mist nightly, add lil more product and re-twist to stretch

  • I like your natural hair just air dried. Great curl pattern.

  • @rosieoutlk Aww thanks! I wouldn't mind wearing it like that (fixed up a bit), but I think there will be !@#@ to pay when detangling time comes after wearing that joker unstretched! Now I see why some people insist on stretching their coils, it saves you from the drama LOL!

  • great stretch without heat.

  • @sugarfreenow Thanks Love ;o)

  • YOU ARE GORGEOUS AND I LOVE YOUR HAIR. :) :) :)

  • @jaduwitch Thanks for the Love Beautiful ;o)

  • Girl your hair is BEAUtiful...!

  • @janinecreates Thanks Doll ;o)

  • Your hair is fabulous!

  • @alliecat0817 thanks Love!

  • yor hair looks good how did you start im having trouble with my hair

  • @supawoman54 What kind of trouble?

  • I so don't like you lol... Look at those perfect curls, just gorgeous!

  • @temi1979 LoL ;o) Thanks HUnny

  • oh... what song is that?

  • @100Jehannah Its called "breather" by phuturesoul (pond5.com)

  • Hi, I subscribed to your channel. I will certainly use your method of stretching and transitioning- which i find to be very sensible for a working mother. My daughter is transitioning- 7 months post relaxer at waist length and she loves her braid outs and I'm so excited that i can finally do braid outs on my twa. I'm not at all intimidated anymore about time management with natural hair growth- thanks to your tutorials and inspiration.

  • @100Jehannah Awww, thank you so much for your inspiration. Just what I need sometimes to renew myself LOL Congratulations on your transition and have fun with your TWA. I missed out on that stage and I'm sure I would have enjoyed it. Thanks again for the message Love.

  • 3 people must still be wearing a relaxer!!!

  • Beautiful hair, love your results.

  • @victoria0402 Thanks Doll ;o)

  • Love it! LOL @ the outtakes. I was rollin. :)

  • @napturallycurly I didn't even catch that until the 3rd time around hahaha!

  • I love you tshirt. Where did you get that? I think we all need to sport those. Will try your stretch method. Thanks for the video!

  • @ylanda71 I've had the shirt for a minute so I forget (issues with the shopaholics). LOL. But it gets a lot of feedback when I wear it ;O) So definitely brings up awareness. Thanks Love ;o)

  • love the hair!

  • I'm a new subscriber but I just wanted to stop by and say I love your lady!!! Great ideas too..

  • @mzjazzi78 Awww thanks Love ;o)

  • I love watching your videos and your hair is great. I am going to try this.

  • @LuvsHairAlot2011 Thanks Doll ;o)

  • Thanks for the tips!!! I am definately going to try this, because I blow dry my hair because I hate the shrinkage, cause my hair isn't as long as yours. Also, where can I find the glycerin, and is the castor oil, the same oil that you buy from the drug stores for colds?

  • @dherron1020 I did it again last night and my stretch was really good! I'll upload that outcome in the next video. The glycerin I got from a natural food/grocery store. It is "Now". It wasn't the fancy Jamaican black castor oil (that's expensive!!!). The glycerin is the regular glycerin (not the veggie glycerin). But once I'm done with this I will try the vegetable glycerin. Thanks for the message!

  • @r007newnew its Lily of the Desert :)

  • @rjmami8508 Ok thanks! I knew it had a desert in it LOL ;o)

  • I love the end result but the process looks so tedious :o)

  • @samcam1199 IDK, it didn't take too much effort. The most time consuming thing to do was the 8 or 9 braids I did at night. Everything else was pretty much waiting to airdry the moisturized hair.

  • Great video. Like the seemingly effortless way you have come up with to stretch. I'm a new subby, do u have a video or info about your Shea Butter mix. Lov your style and persona.

  • @camillebrath Hey Love! Thanks for the sub ;o) The shea butter mix ingredients I use is a recipe from Naptural85 on Youtube. I'm sure my recipe is varied now b/c I just throw oils together with mango butter/shea butter. But check out her channel if you haven't already! Thanks for the love.

  • Your videos and tips are always so practical!!! I tried a couple you shared in previous vids and let me tell you...why didn't I try them sooner??? Styling my hair doesn't make me late for work anymore! I go to bed without having to fool with my hair so much! And b/c my hair is stretched I can try more styles! Your awesome!!!

  • @Licklems83 Yayyy! I love to hear feedback! I use the girls as my guinea pigs after I try things on my hair LOL So that's usually a good guide to see if something works. Thanks so much for your message Doll ;O)

  • Hey Tia, this is a very good technique. I used to follow a similar method (puff then braids for extra length) but lately I have been getting a lot of single strand knots and they are driving me nuts. I ended up giving myself a crucial trim and cutting off a lot of strands which had several knots on them. Further to this experience, I have decided to do protective styles such as two strand twists on wet hair. Too bad for the length. :(

  • @flozangel Hey Love! I know you got a bag of tricks over there. I'm just waiting for you to upload your tricks LOL. Anything I figure out is usually accidental b/c I try so many different ways--always trying to just make my life simple. Oh yeah, I can't stand the single strand knots. The little had them a lot. But since all those trims I gave her--her hair has stopped messing with me LOL. Hope the trim helped some. That's how I keep her hair too (2 Strand twists). Will retain length in long run

  • How long have you been natural?

  • @MsRenny23 November makes 2 years and 4 months (this includes a 15 month transition)

  • Love your videos, great ideas, keep them coming, very much appreciated :)

  • @nstiNctiVnatur Thanks for the message Love ;o)

  • I want your abercrobie shirt!!! and Cute hair as always

  • @boldattractions Hehehehe! T is always trying to steal that shirt (and many others for that matter). Thanks for the message Love!

  • Great technique for stretching hair! I will be trying it the next time I wear my hair out. I have been wearing it all twisted up lately. Take care :)

  • @KinkyTresses I love your twist out tutorial. I have it marked for play later when I attempt twist outs again (I haven't figured out twists outs yet!!!). Thanks for the message Love ;o)

  • Wow your hair looks so beautiful! I may try this but I'm scared of letting my hair airdry loose. My shrinkage is crazy! and knots love me :( lol

  • @xmaneeventx Hey Love! Don't be fooled--when I said "it's dry" --it was really DRY. I had to spritz some of the aloe vera gel/castor oil mix to manipulate it. And remember b4 beginning to air dry, I moisturized with the aloe vera/castor oil mix. Do you think yours would knot badly if it air dried with your moisturizer? If so, maybe you could air dry in big twists. Let me know..

  • @007newnew i have no idea...im scared to see lol. if i do try this method it would be with big twists. ill let you know how it turns out if i do! thanks for the vid :)

  • Great technique and beautiful curl pattern!!

  • @MsChanteJ72 Thanks bunny ;o) I see my curl pattern changing as my hair gets longer/heavier. It's so interesting!!!

  • I love the curl pattern on your hair. its beautiful. Great video. Im hoping to throw out my extensions next year. my hair is already natural. Just need to start rocking it au natural. Thanks for tip.

  • @empresstmc Hey Love! Sounds Like a plan ;o) Is that an easy way to grow out your natural hair? (with extensions). I know it helped when I wore the braid extension. Thanks for the message Love.

  • Love it! Trying it tonight!

  • @1982KYR If you get a chance, let me know how it works for you. I know everybody's hair acts different with different techniques and products. Sometimes gotta "tweak" the process for the best results. Thanks for your message Love ;o)

  • great video! great tutorial! Ur hair is so beautiful!!! I cant wait to try this :)

  • @LuvAlwaysVictoria Thanks bunny! If you get a chance, please let me know how it worked for you. Thanks again ;o)

  • Thanks for the stretching idea. What type of aloe vera gel do you use, and what's the ratio of aloe vera gel to castor oil in your mixture.

  • @rockthenatural I use some aloe vera gel from GNC, but you can use most of the aloe vera gel out there. There's a popular one out there (I forget the name something with Dessert in it I think). Anyhoo, I've been doing 2 ounces of aloe vera gell, and 2 tablespoons of castor oil). Thanks for the message Love

  • Your hair is beautiful! I love that shirt you have on as well. A very subtle way of bringing awareness!

  • @6footlonghair Thanks Love ;o)

  • I think the burgundy colour looks beautiful on you. Ditch the pale pinks.

  • @Ketchup38 ;o) LOL Thanks Will Do. Although the pale pinks are usually my Burts Bees to the rescue after one of these bright, toxic lipsticks finished blowing up my lips LOL. I do love the reds/burgundys though. Thanks for the message Love.

  • i love your technique :)

  • @ericapopularr Thanks Love ;o)

  • Very pretty...

  • @beautiful4days Thanks Beautiful ;o)

  • Great video. very informative....THANKS

  • @shambaby1 Thanks Doll ;o)

  • Shea butter is a great way to loosen the curl pattern to the point of being straight if you use a lot.. Your hair is thick, full and pretty!!!!

  • @margo33 Yeah, that's the way my hair enjoys the raw shea butter (on a stretch). Thanks for the message Love ;o)

  • Awesome Video!

  • @ReniiNaturalistaDiva Thanks Love ;o)

  • As always a great hair video!!!!

  • @TheAkchosen Thanks for the Love ;o)

  • This is the way I ALWAYSSSSS stretch my hair. So easy and fast.

  • @NeeOSoul Well it took me long enough to get this all figured out LOL. Thanks for the message Love ;o)

  • i love that u made this video!!! its a good way to have length without heat which is really damaging on my hair....i have a bit of heat damaged areas now = ( but I will try this hopefully it works out for me thanks!

  • @imaMiLFohyes Oh man, that heat damage is no joke!!! Yeah this gives a pretty good stretch. I see that I can do hairstyles on the stretched out hair (similar to the ones I do on flat ironed hair). Hope this works for you! Thanks for the message Love.

  • Great stretch cant wait for my hair to grow just a little bit more. I wasted the first two years of being natural wearing wigs and not taking care of my hair, I finally starting taking better care this year and my growth has taken off.

  • @1cutefox I would think the wigs would give the hair a good break? Only bad thing if you don't do a routine with the hair care like weekly I guess. That's good news---you're on the grow! Lots of excellent information on here that helps out a lot ;o) Thanks for the message Love!

  • You have beautiful beautiful hair!! I agree with the last comment about your color. What is the name of this color it's gorgerous!! I'm going to try this stretching method lord knows I need it. Great video!!

  • @Hasalaiya3 Thanks hunny. I put a bit of Dark & Lovely in Honey Blond on the front section only. Parted from ear to ear and chunked the color in some sections. Wasn't very technical process LOL, but it got me some color to kind of brighten things up a little. Thanks for the message Love!

  • Your hair is so lovely. Could you tell us about your hair color please. Like what tone is your hair color and how you acheived those particular shades ? It's very becoming on you. BTW, your hair looks great stretched or unstretched!

  • @MrsSarahWalz Thanks Love! I put a bit of Dark & Lovely in Honey Blond on the front section only. Parted from ear to ear and chunked the color in some sections.
