@EmeraldJt I can tell you at least 3 things wrong with your statement: 1. I clearly HAVE done reading on the subject in hand as i highly doubt the fact that a person would know the date the photo was taken off the top of their head. 2. Not once did i say i was debunking the whole story, just the picture. 3. At least a GAVE evidence towards how this was a hoax, i doubt you can tell me how it isnt.
maybe if u did alittle reading asshole u would know that people actually encountered the ghost on nurmerious occasions to say that this ghost story is a hoax is is far from true......
You know, you haven't actually PROVEN that it's faked. All you said was "Ghost photos were easy to fake back then because it was easy to double expose a piece of film, thus this ghost photo is obviously fake!"
See, you haven't actually PROVEN that this particular photo ITSELF is faked.
@NCPilot Are you stupid enough to believe its real? When someone dies they die, they dont magically take the form of some kind of matter that can somehow float without air pressure to make it do so, they can see without real eyes or nerves or a brain attached to it, they can talk yet they have no voice box (people claim that ghosts talk/moan/make noise etc), And somehow they find it fun (again no brain and no emotions but somehow its possible) to just sit around all day "hauting people". LOL
Something no one seems to have noticed about this photo is that the top bannister on the left side doesn't match up with the bottom half, a strong indication of the camera being moved or a double exposure. Another indication of this are the over-exposed lights on the right side. I've searched everywhere for a modern day photo of this staicase to compare it to this photo, but there is none to be found.
@Death6666Monkey Thanks for your comment, you're actually the FIRST person who's not argued the case with me, or complained that it's real and giving me poor evidence against my desision. I know this matter is controversial, and that people will take this too far. Thanks for not being one of them.
Also I noticed a light that looks slightly out of place coming from the top of this photo. Since it was taken in 1936 and motion picture projectors were used around 1877 (Edison) it is entirely possible that someone was smart enough to realize that projecting an image through mist would make it look like there was a ghost just hanging out on the stairs.
I don't trust people who can't spell and do research for their projects on wikipedia... (MyJanieGirl) Sounds very fanatical and made a little technical error.. If cameras didn't come out until 1855, how were they perfected in 1840? It is very easy to fake pictures with technology, today, back then, whenever. You can just have your friend stand next to a tree in a chewbaca costume and say you saw bigfoot. People believe that kind of crap.
you had to do a project on the camera? bit of a boring subject :P
Btw, the picture was taken in 1936 not 1940. And the camera might have been bought a few years before.
Also, just because it's faded aroung the bottom may not make it fake. Child Bayley used the same effect on his pictures nd in some of them, the shosts had no head, feet or arms. And he even admitted they were fake.
But yes, I respect your research and nobody knows for sure this picture is real or fake.
I notice that some people believe that since this photo can't be proved fake, it must be real. This turns logic on its head. I've seen many explanations for this picture, including somone's greasy thumb on the lens. Since this was taken by photographers for a popular monthly magazine, IMO it was a way to spice up things a bit. The explanation given by this video is probably the most logical one.
misconceptions have arose about this photo, but I am positive this would have been fake, although most skeptics are unsure. I think the photographer of The famous raynham hall picture was inspired by Child Bayley who used the same techneque in his famous pictures and Edourd Buguet, who ALSO used the effects. Now, im not saying it IS fake, and yes, it is just an opinion.
Nobody but you says its fake, and you cant proove that it is fake. What you wrote on your video is just your opinion, and yours alone. No paranormal investigators has debunked this picture, so this is not officialy fake.
@LledoDK Paranormal investigators already have an agenda and come to the table with a predisposed belief in the paranormal. They are the last people in the world who would be able to render a true verdict on this or any other ghost photo.
I believe that if one looks closely enough, the top part of the man under the sheets is visible. But it's still one of the best ghost photos, even if faked. It is still fooling people after all these years.
So there is life after death

@NaturReise *cries* I was debunking the picture, NOT the whole legend of ghosts, demons, poltergeists or excoplasm.

@NCPilot can i just say, I applaud you, you're one of the very few who have suggested that this is legit without resorting to nonsensical theories.

@NCPilot You've not actually argued the case with me either, I will try again, after you prove to me that this is legit, without quoting me at all.
JMJMadParanormal 5 months ago
@JMJMadParanormal Sorry, but you made the claim that it was faked, thus YOU must back up this claim.
So, do you have any REAL evidence that the Brown Lady photograph was a product of a hoax?
