dude get that thing right to redline when your winding it out like that...aint gonna hurt theres a rev limiter for a reason i do it to mine everytime i ride and no prolems in 2 years
i beg to differ, i wouldnt want "my" F4i for a beginner bike...but mine isnt stock either, and i can pull 77 in 1st, 109 in 2nd, and 154 through 4th so....take it from there
It is a great first bike! And it was very easy on insurance. I think I was paying about 20/month for full coverage..Of course I was 26 at the time with no accidents or speeding tickets. See if you can test ride one if you have a buddy before you purchase one, but you will not be disappointed.
Nice to know.. I just got a 2001 F4I and I was worried if it was a bad idea for a beginners bike.. even though all my friends that ride tell me it is. I'm 5'6" 165lbs.. thankfully it's already been lowered for me.. Got it for 3,500 ^_^. Thanks for uploading this, it's getting me much more excited for my first ride after I get home from this deployment!
Be safe DS...take the MSF course and before all else...respect that throttle and wear your gear..helmet,jacket,boots,leathers..got an '05 myself..you will love it!
Yeah I was told by my cousin that it's loves to go fast even when you're easy on the throttle.. and I've already ordered most of the stuff I can online, except boots and a jacket... those I gotta test fit first. AGATT!! Already scheduled for the MSF course too.. :)
it sucks they don't make the f4i anymore. i hated to see it disappear off of the honda website. i LOVE mine. i'm in Europe right now and it pains me to see you riding yours because mine is sitting back in the states :(
The only bad thing i have to say is "NO GLOVES?!" Otherwise nice vid, the F4i is a great bike. I think some people forget that it was Honda's flagship bike till the RR showed up. It's an all around good street bike, great for long rides.
shoulda bought a gsxr? no. Fuck you. Incorrect. F4i's are awesome bikes. I've personally owned both and wouldnt ever touch another gixxer, they are wayyy to easy to bang up. You'd have a hard time breaking an f4i down.
i'm making the transition from a 250r to a six hundred and i love the f4i's... how's insurance and overall cost of the bike relative to gixxers and r6s?
I just bought a 07 r6 and love it. However the f4i is a great learning bike and very forgiving. The cost difference for me was only about 100$ more and at 17 years old thats not bad. I also only have liablility however....
Ah i disagree. Granted, a 250 is a learning bike, for someone with a brain, an f4i is a very good beginner bike. Its got alot of midrange power, but not enough where you cant controll it. The r6's power is generally in the top end, where its needed on race bikes, and therefore benificial to a more experianced rider. The f4i is just a alot more forgiving bike all in all.
awesome..
thats all i can say..

Is the F4 a good first bike? Is it hard to ride for a beginner? And is it hard on insurance, I'm 25 years old?

lol @ learning bike. An f4is numbers are identical to an R6 of the same year. A ninja 250 is a learning bike.

Hardly! That is called balancing the bike going 3 MPH. If you watch I did not come to a complete stop at the stop sign.

dude, you obviously dont ride if you think he almost dumped it. you would have to be an idiot to even think that he nearly dumped it.
