This period - during the early stages of MM's marriage to Arthur - was the happiest time of her life. Arthur had a lot to do with that. It was "The Misfits", and, after her death "After The Fall", that spoiled everyone's opinion of Authur. Remember the Actor's Studio picketed the front of the Met when "After The Fall" ran at Lincoln Center?
