I have the same car, 5 Gear Manuall, i get that better and faster going, same Car (almost) Ford Mondeo Ghia 175 Ps... I would accerate til 230 on Cam ^^ Autobahn ;-)

He didn't start in 2nd gear

i got the same car and its a 4 gear automatik

so 1st gear till 65km/h

2nd gear till 125km/h ;)

but you can start in the 2nd gaer with an automatik car...just use the 2nd gear (2) and not Drive (D).

aren't your car in (2) just go in 1 , and 2 gear without changing to higher gears, and not just start in 2. gear

it is equiped with a turbocharger. my sister has a simmilar one, it`s 1,8 TDI. I`m fully satisfied with it

no, the duratec v6 isnt turbo standard, the TDI is turbo because..erm..its a turbo diesel injection. IIRC its really hard to fit a turbo in the st24 (tho it can be done)

sorry but thats more like 4.5 ish secs ok ill explain why before you all get fucked off about that statment he sets off at 1 second on the vid and if you watch the speedo and pause at 60mph the video time infact then says 5 seconds so around 4.5 is my guessing so befor you reply try that your self and yourl see, oh and im arguing this point becasue i own a duratec mondeo and there no as slow as 6 secs!! and mines around that if not better

@kweebmaster what's the logic behind that? Both 2.5V6s have 167bhp and the cars weigh about the same. 0-60 in 8ish seconds. It would be neck and neck until the first corner where the mondeo would actually go around it and the vectra would struggle.

The speedo was in KPH people not MPH, 0-60 in 9 secs, nothing to rage about, I own an ST200 Mondeo, manual. In the wet the other day, pulling out of a junction I got 7.6 to 60...bear in mind thats in the wet pulling out of a junction. Easy 6.5-7.0 in the dry

I dont understand why people think it is modified. Speedo is in KPH. So it gets to 100kph in 9 seconds. Thats 60mph. So 0-60mph in 9 seconds is pretty stock.

You probably have manual, my Cougar ATX does approx. 130 also in second gear.

I still don't know what mods it has but it's 1,5 second quicker to 100 than my cougar.

I also think this mondeo has some minor mods intake,exhaust and superchip maybe ... probably makes around 200hp.

Cougar has the same engine and transmision, and the weight is also near mondeos.

Factory specs are around 10,5s to 100, acording to speedo it's around 9,5 with sport mode and traction control off.

I will do some day movie from 0-100, the night one (that you can se in my profile) is very bad quality.
