I have one question. Does Media Composer have 3D camera, like in After Effects? I do realize that those programs are for completely different purposes, but I've seen what MC can do in 3D and that was amazing, so I thought it's very possible for it to have 3D camera as well. So, can you tell me if MC really has it?

You can get a virtual dongle, search for it on google. I have never tried this, though.

Both systems are very good. They have almost the same tools, the results depends of how well you use them and creativity. also both of them crash

Hi everybody, editing is an art that is done by humans not by machines :-) basicly it´s 3 dimensional memory. And much more. It´s not about the software with wich you achive the goal. The software is just a tool. And there are 2 very good tools FCP and Avid .... Both have their pros and cons ....

And BTW you can Edit a good film (if you can) in imovie and i thing for most things i see you don´t need more ,,,,

Final cut can't do half of what Avid can. Final cuts more of a toy for amateurs where as Avid is a High end professional editing suite. The dark night was done on Avid...

yeah i would play games, you say it like its bad. for the video editing stuff, it really depends on the users skills. for example u buy a 800 dollar guitar, with great features, but cant even strum a chord. but if u have skills, u could sound good. same with a crappy guitar, u only make it sound bad if you really suck, but if you have skills, you make it sound nice. look, if your a guitar player, you would know what i mean but judging from your videos, i dont what the fuck you do.

Yes but what did they make the visual effects in, how did they composite them into the film, and what was done in other applications other than Final Cut Pro to complete the editing job of that film? a lot of these things I've mentioned cannot be done in Final cut pro but can be completed with Avid without 3rd party plugin's or applications. Avid also has hardware that works out of the box for use in a wide range of productions. Final cut is a GREAT software but AVID is truly PROFESSIONAL.
