I listen to these guys when I was forced to go to church, and hear the judgment that one religion thought that they could pass on all people, I watch this video now, and the judgment continues. "Religion is for those who cannot handle reality"!! Does not the Bible say, :"Judge not that ye maybe judged"? Poor fools!!
who are the people in the audience? usually you would see other homecoming singers like the recent gvb reunion and oak ridge boys dvds. their families maybe? just curious.
George Younce was incredible. I'm so glad we have recordings with his awesome singing. The Lord truly blessed this man, along with all the others with him.
Land a Goshen! That was wonderful! That Ernie has a fine voice, not the least bit annoying like so many tenors. I'm a bass woman myself. That is, I love the bass not that I can sing it. Saw The Cathedrals back in the early eighties. The old boys are still sounding fine here!
that piano player`s name is Roger Bennett. Played with the Cathedrals for many years, then played for Legacy 5 until his death a year or so ago. He and his wife Debbie wrote many great songs also.
I sure miss Roger, was fortunate to had the pleasure to perform with him once about 6-7 years ago. He was with Legacy five. We were at a rodeo arena in Winchester,TN. The man exuded tallent.
Truly one of the best! Does anyone know what video this came off? I think it was just the guys singing through out the whole video. Mr. Younce is in rare form on this one....
The songs are "i've got a newborn feeling" and "A wonderful time up there". Hope this helps. Also, Gold City has a great rendition of it's a wonderful time up there, Tim riley hits some low notes that would make Goerge proud. Take care
Wow, what happened to Roger? First Anthony Burger and now Roger? Is this the curse of the Gaither Video Piano players? I'm sad to hear of his passing.
What a glorious group, they could sing anything. God's choir is richer for George, Glenn and Roger's joining them. Have happy that we have these great videos of them!
When was this recorded, and who was the guy singing baritone?
