I use a small digital jvc camera and I mount it to a window mount bracket. Like the one that comes on a tri-pod. Also can get the from bass pro, cabelas, etc... they open to 1 in. which will fit on a EZ Hanger 3. Allows full motion, while having very steady footage and complete movement for 360 degrees. I film all my own hunts even with a bow and it works great.
Good job fo the first attempt. I would second the comment on the camera arm. And the HD camera. You can get both on e-bay for about 400 or less. Get the best that you can afford you will be glad you did. Just those two things would do it. You guys have already got down the intro and post shot interview along with recovery. I have recently purchased the same set-up I talked about and have started taping myself this year. Gorilla arm, JVC GZ HD30 spent just under 400. Best thing I ever did. TFS
They do great! I started using them last year and each deer I've shot haven't gone over 75 yards. They fly like darts! The shot on this deer was double lung and it was a perfect X all the way through. My bow is set at 70# shooting about 320fps and they cut through like they are hot butter! Give them a shot.
Congrats, nice video! One suggestion is to invest in a gorilla camera arm that straps to the tree. It works as a tripod so you don't get that string jump from that worthless camera man ;-) Nice job.
Comment to make it better? Find new hunter. hahaha. kiddin, video looks cool man. the words at the beginning jumped a little but it may be the connection. a serious comment tho, an HD cam would be amazing, you would really see the difference, IF you wanna put out the extra dough. also using a tripod, no matter how steady BK is, a pulse rate will always cause movement, although i do realized its tough to get a tripod up a tree, haha. good vid, for real
Great video man, looks like you've had alot of experience hunting and filming.
