laughing seeing all these ppl complain about the GT1000s launch.. i drive a 330 bhp camaro..and if you slam on the gas from a stop you're gonna be spinning for a while..Now with a 1000 bhp car.. if he even goes half way down more then likely he'll get wheel spins.. This isn't fast and the furious where you see actors slamming from a 7k rpm drop and only spinning for a second or two.. do that with this 1000bhp car you'll end up with no tires left.

The turbo of the Heffner TT package spool around 4500-5000 rpm, with maximum torque around 5,5K rpm ... In my opinion it's good for street racing or for a race after 60mph, but not for a dead start.

@dave440v8 no way back in the day the gt40 was designed to contend with ferrari's and it actually beat them for quite sometime. You also have to look at the engineering of the Gt vs. the viper. The viper is almost all engine and no car where as the gt has an aftward engine placement, automatically giving it a better center of gravity. Simple fact is that with the viper's design if you pumped 1000 hp out of it it would be incredibly unstable and out of control.
interesting fact about the dodge viper's origins, it was essentially created after the the legendary shelby cobra. A sorta modern day cobra. but the carrol shelby and the cars he built was in conjunction with Ford not dodge. SO the viper was in fact paying tribute to the completions legends.

@ftb28 it did not take time for it to get going. with that much horsepower you have to be real careful how much throttle you give it, i wouldnt be surprised if that thing spun the tires at full throttle doing 100.
that 5.4 gt engine is truly an amazing engine. it can easily handle upwards of 1700 hp. of course if there was only a track long enough to test it on..
@TEFLONTHADON The Viper has a great engine but the 5.4L can handle k.ell over 1500HP. In fact a GT making 1500HP just set the standing mile speed record in a Ford GT last week.
@xLuckydemonx Oh it's a monster, PPR's GT ran what 253 in the mile with there custom tranny. But there are vipers out there pumping out more power than that. Say Sal's viper, apparently he's pushing 2200hp+ on the stock block. Sheer cubes as well as a block just as strong sway the advantage the vipers way.

I keep seeing comments about the GT do you clowns realize the car is 1000HP RWD not AWD STOP PLAYING FORZA 3 and understand it's not easy launching a 1000HP RWD Super car in order to win you have to put power to the ground and that's what the driver was doing that's why he finished the race way out in front

he didn't wait till 100 to full throttle, this video just show that viper has better acceleration and Ford has Top Speed or it's just Torque vs Horsepower. :)

The turbo of the Heffner TT package spool around 4500-5000 rpm, with maximum torque around 5,5K rpm ... In my opinion it's good for street racing or for a race after 60mph, but not for a dead start.
Big turbo lag and It's very hard to have a good launch and good start with this car ^^

To all my Ford fans, im sorry, but a Hennessey inspired Viper would butt fuck that ford, this is just a regular dodge viper with a paxton slapped on, that ford had heffner's 1000 HP under the hood.

u know what i think .That Gt was just giving the rest of the cars a heads start since he knew he was going to beath them anyway .Ford Gt don't have that acceleration its way faster. It's the driver and tires did not had anough friction which would propel the car forward quicker. Both cars are great but among the three big ones Vette,Viper the GT its the better looking a better overall car.

@dave440v8 no way back in the day the gt40 was designed to contend with ferrari's and it actually beat them for quite sometime. You also have to look at the engineering of the Gt vs. the viper. The viper is almost all engine and no car where as the gt has an aftward engine placement, automatically giving it a better center of gravity. Simple fact is that with the viper's design if you pumped 1000 hp out of it it would be incredibly unstable and out of control.

interesting fact about the dodge viper's origins, it was essentially created after the the legendary shelby cobra. A sorta modern day cobra. but the carrol shelby and the cars he built was in conjunction with Ford not dodge. SO the viper was in fact paying tribute to the completions legends.

@ftb28 it did not take time for it to get going. with that much horsepower you have to be real careful how much throttle you give it, i wouldnt be surprised if that thing spun the tires at full throttle doing 100.

that 5.4 gt engine is truly an amazing engine. it can easily handle upwards of 1700 hp. of course if there was only a track long enough to test it on..

@TEFLONTHADON The Viper has a great engine but the 5.4L can handle k.ell over 1500HP. In fact a GT making 1500HP just set the standing mile speed record in a Ford GT last week.

@xLuckydemonx Oh it's a monster, PPR's GT ran what 253 in the mile with there custom tranny. But there are vipers out there pumping out more power than that. Say Sal's viper, apparently he's pushing 2200hp+ on the stock block. Sheer cubes as well as a block just as strong sway the advantage the vipers way.
