Allow me to echo another comment on here.ANYONE can get a boil.Some people are more prone to them,though,in example,diabetics. A boil is simply an infected hair follicle,and good hygiene helps,but doesn't always keep them at bay.Using an antibacterial bodywash helps,too.Class dismissed,lol.

@davidbeavermosley - have you ever had a doctor take a look at it? I wonder if perhaps you have a sebaceous cyst - which will return again and again if not lanced, drained, and the cyst sac removed. Sometimes when they subside and reoccur like yours, once in awhile it will abscess/become infected which is that nasty redness plus more pus than usual. Well, if you do go to the doc, film it (please?). If you don't, perhaps we'll see you again when it needs draining? Take care, no matter what!!!
