  • why are you trying to insult me; you think it's making your statement more credible by being rude? in our machine design lecture @ school we were assigned to watch this vid, so if your calling someone an idiot, that would be my professor.

secondly, in machine design you need to know the strength of materials. that's a basic concept. if your designing a machine and don't know the strength of what you're using, how can you calculate stresses and strains to build something that won't break in 2?

  • @standardwolfsburg Kid stop trolling and move on to another video, this VERY informative man is trying to help others so pull your dick out of your arse and try somewhere else.

    Idiotic moron.

  • Thanx proffessor Bhattacharya for your HARD WORK to make education reachable to the needful students like me thankx a lot

  • I find the lecture as very useful and helps to understand the subject better. Especially to those who want to have a clear understanding of the subject, it comes handy at no cost at all. Really Amazing. Good work by NPTELHRD. Well done. I think more and more students would benefit if NPTEL produces more such videos on all civil engg subjects such as Steel Design, Concrete Design etc. It is really refreshing even for estabilshed engineers.

  • false! if you are an engineer and don't know this terribly basic information, you shouldn't be an engineer!!

  • true and that is why those that want to be engineers are watching it. .

ps. Thanks to the Professor and the staff at NPTEL

  • I intend to follow the lectures from first to last, these are very very useful and at no cost. Thank you professor and God Bless You and your family.

  • great bcoz der is something like this...i learned a lot..

  • yeah i agree

  • NPTEL is an amazing program.

I'm listening to these lectures and am learning many insights which I missed during my B Tech.

I recommend the series to everyone serious to learn.

Thanks Professor Bhattacharya. You've been very patient in explaining the concepts.
